are you and me going to heaven?

Peace be upon you Enquirer,
I am not caught up on this thread but just wanted to respond to a statement I saw as I am trying to catch up.
How can something be created out of nothing?
Nothing means NO - THINGS, or simply no objects. What this means is that the energy/matter that is the basis of ALL CREATION was unformed and at rest. Therefore there was no objects to PERCIEVE.
For example, At one point, "Hamlet" was "no-things", then Shakespeare brought him out of "no-where". We create MENTALLY all things from "no-thing".
Its like a lump of clay for the potter, at first it is not formed, it is no-thing, then the potter forms it into a cup, abowl, a plate, etc. (a crude analogy)

Peace be upon you,
heaven is when we are with the one we love
and hell is when we lost the one we loveHell is being controlled by the EMOTION. Instead of "falling in love", cultivate being a loving person to all.
Never be a slave to "love" or any emotion, we should be at peace no matter what happens externally.

Peace idol-free. Your last two posts on this thread are superb. Very good understandings. I would appreciate if you read through this whole thread(if you have time) and posted some comments. Your view on monotheism in detail would be appreciated.(pm if you deem necessary).
I agree with the 'no objects to perceive',this also means that this energy/matter is eternal,Which is what i was trying to say. ops
Excellent one about being loving to all, being peaceful internally ,and not a slave to emotions.
Peace all. -
peace sawtooth,
what do you think heaven and hell are then?
I believe in reincarnation. I don't believe in a reward or punishment upon death, I only believe in growth from eah lifetime. I believe this is the purpose of a lifetime, to become a fully enlightened soul. Each experience can being you closer to it. The closest thing to reward/punishment I believe is having not so much to repay the sins of a lifetime, but having to relive it from the opposite perspective. I believe we CHOOSE our lifetime and to live it with a sense of hate (I hate my life) and not learning from it is the closest thing to heel one can get and to live it with eyes open and to learn from all of it is a sense of heaven.
I do not believe in a good or bad being out there dolling out reward and punishment, I find that way too human a concept. I believe it is just a way for humans to express the importance of living a good life.

Peace sawtooth. Very similiar to my understanding of life.

Peace be upon you,
Mine also

Peace.Wow. ! Three agreements in a row. Almost getting objective.

peace nabi. Im sorry i misunderstood your point on cohesion. The cohesion comes about if wills 'voluntarily' do something together. This comes from the free-will. If a will chooses not to cooperate then it can either engage partly, or be engaged partially.(depending on the power of different wills). Thus cohesion etc...comes from free-will. '
Proving something exists in another dimension is not in my current capacity. Just my opinion.(like how do we prove what happens after death?)Peace zenje; does this 'one on one' have any medium? If not, then you experience god directly? Can you explain this please?

It can't be nothing more.

Peace lote tree. Can you expand on that comment please. I didnt quite understand what you were saying.

Peace enquirer,
If god is all-powerful, then what prevents god to change his mind? If god cannot change his mind, then what makes god all-powerful?
Anyway, what is god?
Anwar Azim
peace nazz and someone, and all. Nazz if you analyse what you said it implies a dependence on time and situation(context) for god.It also involves god changing his mind? All these are limitations and refute the idea of an all-powerful god.
Someone;i believe if some people got to heaven(the heaven defined as a place, )and they could have anything they wanted, they would want to be god. shock But this is simply an unobtainable desire,as there is no all-powerful god, there are an infinite number of limited gods only.

I wanted to make a thread about this topic but I see that it was already made. I am talking about the initial question in the thread about strictly believing in one God without referring to texts, messengers, etc.
I personally believe in the Quran and Quran alone, but I have a friend who believes in one God......and thats it. She is open minded and doesnt "know" if she believes in angels, scripture, etc. My question is, using Quranic evidence, what is her place? I liken her faith to that of Abraham's who came to believe in one God on his own? But did Abraham have to believe in scriptures, messengers, etc.? And if he didnt, is her case different from Abraham's, perhaps because he didnt have exposure to these things (much like a tribesmen in the middle of the jungle) while she did have exposure but still didnt believe?
Any help would be appreciated. Peace.

Peace yfn123 and all. If you suggest god can change his mind then he is contingent and dependant on situation and context.(thus not all-powerful or all-knowing).
A 'god' in my opinion is anything that has will/life.In other words everything is a 'god'.(an infinite amount of gods) Can anyone say that something that has life, has no will?(or power). Thus one 'god' cannot have all the power.(or will).

Peace bro
the beleief is required in Allah, his messengers, his angels, all his scriptures and the Judgement day
regarding how she differs from Abraham, well, I guess there is no comarison bro lol , i mean we can't compare one now with one who lived over 4000 years ago, but I'm sure he believed in what was required at the time
peace be with you

Peace "enquirer"
I don't see any necessary connection to what you say. Here is why all-powerful implies what the word means i.e. has complete power i.e. has the power to do anything. If this is not what you mean, what did you mean by "all-powerful". Anyway, so logically, an all-powerful entity is capable of changing its mind also, which by the way, does not have to be necessarily dependent on any situation, or else the entity would be limited and hence not all-powerful which would contradict anything you say about "all-powerful".
Thanks for you opinion. I just go by the dictionary meaning of the word "god", that way, it is easier to communicate with others. But once one's own understanding is mixed up with usual dictionary sense of the word "god", then it all gets confusing, because people are using the same word at the same time with different meaning. Do you know what I mean?

Well.. as far as it gets, i believe we are trying to assume what will be happening to us after we finish our job in this joke called world...
Will it be Heaven or Hell?
Will it be Eternal Flame twisted or Eternal Bliss? roll
Will it be Tears of Anguish cry or Tears of Joy? PBut what is God had to do with this?
Our conversation i believe had coursed to another topic alien... am i wrong? oops -
Salaam Rhad,
But what is God had to do with this?
Well, from quranic point of view, to be accepted in what some people know by the name of "heaven", not associating partners of any kind with God is a must, along with doing righteous deeds (6151-153) Simple in theory if you think about it.
But I'll stop at that. Meaning I won't be burdened by questions like "Can God do this? Or do that? Is God like this? What if God is that?" and so on. You told me a story about a man with an arrow once remember? Well, that's how I view God.
Just trying to purify my soul is already hard enough. I don't think I have the energy or time in "defining" God at the same time.

appears in the right time is also a great factor of joy. wink
i totally agree
