Why is Mary/Maryam NOT considered a Prophet?

peace ab. Did you believe in god before you read the quran? Isnt the quran a reminder for what we already can now?(that god exists.) I thought the fitrah(nature.) of man(according to the quran.) was to automatically believe in god?(before the quran confirms it.) Did abraham believe in god through the quran or through his knowledge? Peace all.

to be honest bro, Not really, but i started with the arabic Quran at very early age and was not forced on my by any,
the Quran made it far easier for me, especially the Quran warned me to watch for those who created self made gods for them based on their own desires

not really according to the Quran but I say according to the hadith, the Quran only told us in a metaphor way that all humans witnessed that Allah is our God, it was actually left open for the mushrikon as the decleration was "He is our God", it was not "He is our ONLY God"
and the Quran will make us aware of shirk and will always remind us not to come near it

Yes, but you are missing the point here bro, the Quran was not sent to Abraham, or I should say it was sent after Him according to Allah plan, Abraham received other scripture though and I'm sure he was required to believe in it as we were told to believe in the Quran as the exact words of Allah as stated in the Quran, also believing in the other scriptures were sent by Allah, beliebing in the angels, believing in all messengers and believing in the Last Day are all a must requirement in addition to believing in Allah and the Quran, for any human to prosper in the judgment day

In Arabic culture, does "men" always refers to adult human males? In English, for example, if there is a sentence, "Today will be the day where men will fight off all evil in this world." The word "men" may not necessarily just to mean adult human males, but may also include adult human females.
Just wondering if this case also applies in Arabic, such in English or Indonesian (well, we don't have gender problems in the language anyway D).
And about the status of Maryam. I personally have no problems with a female prophet or messenger. However, are there any reasons why females aren't allowed to have that position?

....But if I hold the Quran up as my proof to atheist or scientest who need physical proof then I cannot prove the existence of GOD because He cannot be seen with the human eye or touched by the human hand..You have no proof of GOD or any other spiritual things except whats written in the Quran.

Messsengers are male, female, animals, thoughts, etc.
They are symbolized as MALES in the message to reflect the male principle. Knowledge comes from the understanding of PAIRS, how else can you get balanced without understanding the pairs?
