The Quality of Heart
-
The religious mind is always open. The religious mind is never confined by its own limitations. It keeps remembering that there is no end to growth; one can go on growing.

peace all,
The Wise man said
The Spirit of Guidance is a plant that grows and blossoms when it meets with response and care; and when it is watered by the rainfall of divine inspiration it blooms in the light of the divine sun. The Spirit of Guidance is the light of God, which may be likened to a lantern that the farmer carries when walking on the farm in the darkness of night. It is like a searchlight, which shows up any object upon which it is thrown; and so when the light of the Spirit of Guidance is thrown upon any aspect of life, man receives a keen insight into it. In the Spirit of Guidance one finds a living God active in the heart of every person
The purpose of life is that we grow towards perfection; from the greatest limitation we grow towards perfection. Its beauty is in acquiring wisdom, in living at the cost of all our failures, our mistakes. It is all worthwhile, and it all accomplishes the purpose of our coming to the earth.

Peace all,
The Wise man (Inayat Khan) said
It is the surface of the sea that makes waves and roaring breakers; the depth is silent.
The bubbles are to be found on the surface of the sea. The depth of the sea is free from bubbles. The commotion is to be seen on the surface, the depth of the sea is still. The mind is the commotion of that something that is within us, that something which we call heart. The happiness, knowledge, pleasure and love that is stored in our innermost being is in our profound depth. Changing emotions and passions, dreams, ever-rising thoughts and imaginations, all belong to the surface, as the bubbles belong to the surface of the sea. To attain peace, what one has to do is to seek that rhythm which is in the depth of our being. It is just like the sea the surface of the sea is ever moving; the depth of the sea is still. And so it is with our life. If our life is thrown into the sea of activity, it is on the surface. We still live in the profound depths, in that peace. But the thing is to become conscious of that peace which can be found within ourselves. It is this which can bring us the answer to all our problems. If not, when we want to solve one problem, there is another difficult problem coming. There is no end to our problems. There is no end to the difficulties of the outer life. And if we get excited over them, we shall never be able to solve them. Some think, 'We might wait. Perhaps the conditions will become better. We shall see then what to do.' But when will the conditions become better? They will become still worse! Whether the conditions become better or worse, the first thing is to seek the kingdom of God within ourselves, in which there is our peace. As soon as we have found that, we have found our support, we have found our self. And in spite of all the activity and movement on the surface, we shall be able to keep that peace undisturbed if only we hold it fast by becoming conscious of it.Spiritual knowledge is nothing but this that there is a constant longing in the heart of man to have something of its origin, to experience something of its original state, the state of peace and joy which has been disturbed, and yet is sought after throughout its whole life, and never can cease to be sought after until the real source has at length been realized. What was it in the wilderness that gave peace and joy? What was it that came to us in the forest, the solitude? In either case it was nothing else but the depth of our own life, which is silent like the depths of the great sea, so silent and still. It is the surface of the sea that makes waves and roaring breakers; the depth is silent. So the depth of our own being is silent also. And this all-pervading, unbroken, inseparable, unlimited, ever-present, omnipotent silence unites with our silence like the meeting of flames. Something goes out from the depths of our being to receive something from there, which comes to meet us; our eyes cannot see and our ears cannot hear and our mind cannot perceive because it is beyond mind, thought, and comprehension. It is the meeting of the soul and the Spirit.

When all desires that surge in the heart
are renounced, the mortal becomes immortal.
When all the knots that strangle the heart
are loosened, the mortal becomes immortal.
This sums up the teachings of the scriptures.Peace,

Thou hast made me endless
Thou hast made me endless, such is thy pleasure.
This frail vessel thou emptiest again and again,
and fillest it ever with fresh life.
This little flute of a reed thou hast carried over hills and dales,
and hast breathed through it melodies eternally new.
At the immortal touch of thy hands my little heart loses
its limits in joy and gives birth to utterance ineffable.
Thy infinite gifts come to me only on these very small hands of mine.
Ages pass, and still thou pourest, and still there is room to fill.

Peace,
Love never tries to conquer, yet it conquers. Hate always tries to conquer, but never conquers.
Hate is impotent, it cannot conquer; it aspires, it is very ambitious, but it is doomed to fail.
Love has no idea of conquering, love has no idea of dominating, love has no idea of becoming the first in the world. Yet love becomes the first, the conqueror.
Jesus says Those who are the last in this world will be the first in my kingdom of God. And vice
versa.Lao Tzu preaches the way of water, the watercourse way. He says The rock is strong, is in every
way trying to conquer, is aggressive, resistant, but ultimately is defeated, is destroyed, becomes
the sand and disappears into the ocean.Water is very humble, non-pretentious, non-resistant, has no motivation for conquering anybody or destroying anybody, is always ready to bow down, to surrender.

The Wise said
Humility does not mean the ordinary so-called humbleness. The ordinary humble person is not
egoless. He carries a new kind of ego ? of being humble. He thinks he is humble, ?Nobody is as
humble as I am. I am the topmost in humility.? But he goes on comparing. The ego has not changed,
the ego has only taken a new posture, a new gesture, more subtle.
First the ego was very gross. When you go on bragging about your money. It is very gross. One
day you renounce your money and then you start bragging that you have renounced all. This is very
subtle, but the bragging continues. First you say, ?I am somebody.? In a thousand and one ways
you try to prove that you are somebody. Then one day, seeing the futility of it, you drop the whole
trip, you turn back, you take another gesture ? you stand on your head and you start saying, ?I am
nobody.? But ?I am? continues. The claim was for somebody, now it is for nobody. The claim was
there, the claim is still there. Now it has taken a subtle form.
Humility, khushu, means a man who has understood all the ways of the ego. And by understanding
all the ways of the ego, the ego has disappeared. There is no claim, not even of being humble.
When there is no claim, there is humility, there is khushu.
This is one of the most essential qualities for those who want to move towards God ? because if you
are too much you will not be moving. You have to be liquid, you have to melt; you cannot remain
frozen in your ego. Only when you melt will you start moving. And when you start moving where else
can you move? All movement is towards God. Only those who are ossified are not reaching towards
God ? otherwise, if you are moving, you are moving towards God. There is no other movement.

Peace agent,
Plato used a beautiful word for truth. The word is A-LETHIA it means non-forgetting, no-forgetting.
It means remembering, it means constant remembering.Truth is a constant remembering. Truth is not forgetting for a single moment that ?God is only God is.
He has given me life, he has given me the desire to search for truth, he has chosen me to search for him.
He must have called me in some mysterious way ? otherwise how could I have moved in his direction??
The lover keeps on reminding himself, ?It is the Beloved who is functioning like a magnet ? I am being pulled, I am being drawn. It is not my work, it is his grace.?

Peace all,
Howal Azziz ol Hakeem.
The wise said
It is not that man brings his faults along with him when he is born. He arrives with innocence, with the smiles of the infant, the friend of everyone who comes near him, ready to cast his loving glance on everybody, regardless of whether they are rich or poor, friend or foe, attracted by beauty in all forms; and it is that quality in the infant which attracts, every soul.
This shows that the same soul which comes with such purity of heart, purity of expression, beauty in every movement, develops in his nature as he grows up in the world all that is hurtful and harmful to himself and to others.
It is in the world that, as he grows up, he creates his Nafs. Yet at the same time there is in the depths of the heart that goodness which is the divine goodness, that righteousness which man has inherited from the Father in heaven.
A longing for joy and rest and peace is in him, and this shows that in man there are two aspects there is one nature which is in the depths of his heart; and there is another nature
which has developed after his coming on earth. And then there arises a conflict, a struggle between these two natures, when the nature which belongs to the depths begins to feel that it yearns for something. It must have
goodness from other people, it must have peace in life, and when it cannot find these the inner conflict arises. Man creates his own disharmony in his soul and then treats others in the same way;
therefore he is neither satisfied with his own life, nor is he satisfied with others because he feels that he has a complaint against them, although it is caused mostly by himself.
What he gives he takes back, yet he never realizes that. He always thinks that everybody should give him what he yearns for in the depths of his being
love, goodness, righteousness, harmony, and peace; but when it comes to giving he does not give because he lives in the other life he has created.
This makes it plain that in every man a being is created, and that being is the Nafs; in point of fact it is the same as the conception of Satan found in all the scriptures and traditions.

Heart is not something in the chest, but a memory which controlled by intellectual power. Men is regarded as "ulil albab" when his memory is fully driven by al Quran, but if otherwise it should be called as a disease in heart.

Peace lovely moslems,
HOWAL AZZIZ OL HAKEEM
The issue is neither the analogy of the heart , neither its location.
The difference between a holy scientist and an evil scientist is not their knowledge nor their intellect.
It is about that faculty within us- that experiences
- That desires rise from
- That is able to submit
- That can become peaceful
- that can feel love, hate, compassion, revenge, peace,?.
One does not need to read a lot to submit, but he has to get first STRAIGHT from inside and love a lot and be just. Once the state of submission gets sharp, all the knowledge that one gains will become creative and constructive.
