As of right now, I'm of the opinion that mind=brain, heart=soul. Man has a dual nature, not a triune nature. That being said, the heart is the divine essence - the real "you". The mind is only the processor of information, or the means of experiencing this life.

    Peace Tay

If heart=soul then how would you explain the heart transplants. The recipient does not end up having the soul of the donor after the transplant. In USA a pig's heart was successfully implanted to a human.

There was a person in USA who was running on a machine heart for years. Believe it or not, this person used to feel emotions just like us.

Having said that, soul cannot reside in the heart.

    Perhaps you mean to say

heart = "source for feeling the soul".

    just like

brain = "tool for feeling the mind".

      Peace OracleMir,

      Sorry I missed your reply...

"Heart" as a symbol, not as a physical residence of the soul. Soul is the essence, the energy that animates the physical body.

Having said that, soul cannot reside in the heart.

Exactly. It cannot reside anywhere. In fact, it would be more accurate to say the body resides in the soul.

      Perhaps you mean to say

heart = "source for feeling the soul".

      just like

brain = "tool for feeling the mind".

No. Heart I explained above. Brain and mind are one and the same. Without a brain, there is no mind. Like I said, I feel there is duality to the human the eternal part, and the temporary/physical part. Once this temporary/physical realm is wiped out, there will be no more need for the mind, only the soul will remain.

      Peace,
      Tay

        Salam All

Last week I watched a scientific documentary on CH4 about the (heart memory). The research into this topic was triggered by patients who underwent heart transplant and noticed a complete change in their personalities ( for example, one became a poet, another gave up hia business to become an athlet at the age of 50+, one started to drink beer, something she hated a lot..etc; i.e. mainly preference to some food, life style, dreams, even professional changes) and when doctors and scientists investigated those changes, to their surprise they found that they belonged to their donors. The research concluded that the heart has the most sophi.sticated nervous system, and that it is the heart that controls the brain in many cases, so the brain commands the body to act accordingly. It is even more interesting to find out that most desires are controlled by the heart nervous system, not the brain (haven't you noticed that your heart beats change before you even think or rationalize what you see)?
