    Salaamun alaikum,

I'm with AB on this one. Do not forget that al-quraan is kitaaban MUTASHABIHAN mathaany (39/23). The mutashabih (containing similarities) aspect is a powerful tool in determining meaning. The root SFR has been used for travelling and so a 'saafir' must certainly be a traveller. This is further augmented by the assertion that Allah protects az-zikr (the eminent one). Travellers carrying al-quraan has made it eminent to the world.

    Thank you bro

but I have a question for you, the action od writing was not mentioned in the verse, now you are suggesting that there an action of carrying it as well delivering it to some entities, I say there is not such actions in the sura as well, the only actions mentioned are "Maroaah and muttahra"

    can you please elaborate

    thanks

If it was already 'fee suhufin mukarramah' (80/13), then I don't think the action of writing is necessary. Why would you need to write something already in pages?

Cool mate, and I agree totally with you, thanks for adding further compelling logic, however my question was something else, I'm not questioning that the writing action was mentioned in the sura as i know that it was never mentioned but I also disagree that the action of carrying the Quran and delievring it to other tribes and nations is not mentioned in the whole sura either

        cheers

And I have to thank you for bringing this to my attention. I didn't even notice the word saafirah before you brought it up but this completes a lot of things for me. So shukran jazeelan for that!

            Mquran

I think my english has failed me again, here is the sentence revised

"I also disagree that the action of carrying the Quran and delievring it to other tribes and nations is mentioned in the whole sura either"

I removed the word "Not" from it, would it make sense to you now?

            sorry for that
