EnquirerIs there any wisdom in the quran that is not present in other books/elsewhere?

I believe fragments of wisdom are present from many sources in human thought. However, one single source of absolute wisdom - which is what i believe al-quraan is - is nowhere present except for al-quraan.

Is there any objective proof of the qurans validity?

There is, but it'll be too late for those who rejected it after al-haqq comes to them (note im not saying al-haqq or ultimate truth/Allah Himself came to anyone, that's not for me to say.)

      Peace enquirer,

      Beautifully expressed...Agree with you fully...

      sun

Why dont you start a new thread relating to the implications of your last post.(if you wish. )....I think it would be very interesting and hopefully beneficial...

Interesting, yes. But it would only be beneficial if the structure is coherent. As of now, in my mind, it's bits and pieces that all make sense, but require further study to formulate a cogent argument. In the meantime, perhaps you can add your feedback to the following thread and we can examine these bits and pieces...

the tagline says it all. People keep saying that there is scientific facts to be found in the Quran, not known to its time. Lets take a look at this, because i disagree entirely. ALL science found in Quran was known to man, and societys a long time before.

        Peace

While I'm not a fan of the quranic scientific miracles, i would like to see how you can prove what you said above

The Quran told us more than 1400 ago about the internal waves and the darkness of the deep sea, here is my evidence

Or are like the darkness of a fathomless sea which is covered by waves above which are waves above which are clouds, layers of darkness, one upon the other. If he puts out his hand, he can scarcely see it. Those Allah gives no light to, they have no light.

Now the onus is on you to prove to us beyond doubt that these two pieces of scientific information mentioned in the Quran were known prior to more than 1400 years ago "clearly the two facts are understood literally from the verse, no twisting no games"

back to you, btw the argument by that Dr that a sailor told Mohammad about it can't be admissable until you prove it

        cheers

Peace all. Im not directing this comment to anyone in particular, but if a person is already convinced/has faith in the quran as allahs infallible book, then if any new and proven science comes along that 'contradicts' the quran, would they then admit a mistake in the quran........?,Or would they say science is 'fallible' anyway.....?

Ahmed chose to direct his comment to enquirer

              Hello enquirer

Yeh if you can prove it beyond doubt I will concede that the Quran is fake

              deal?

but only if there will be judges and rules and I have to make the rules with you

Is there any science that contradicts the quran...? If there is,do you mind refuting this science with reality...?
Peace all. ps; AB; good question to magi....I will post a reply when i get time...Take it easy...PPS; ok,we will talk about a debate later....i assume you have a lot of travelling and such like at the moment,so when you come back...Is that ok?

                        Peace,

Enquirer, the last 400 years things have been discovered that all one by one were metnioned in the Quran, till now there is not one thing inside the Quran that doesn't coincide science. That is the thing, 400 years of science and not one difference......I accepted the Quran because of the science in it and the wisdom used. I would really doubt there is gonna be any scientifical theory accepted by most scientists that will contradict any law of the Quran. The last 400 years of experience has already proven that.......

And no enquirer, there is not one scientifical theory that contradicts the Quran, i have studied Biochemistry for years and studied all scientifical fields. Till now all theories coincide a 100% with the Quran, so if there is gonna be one theory that contradicts the Quran, it is a wrong theory. Let's say there is gonna be one theory accepted by most scientists.

So that would be mean that 99,9% of all theories coincide with the Quran except 0,1%. I would say with my scientifical view that it is the 0,1% that will be proven wrong over the years. You have to look at statistics enquirer. The 99,9% already is to strong evidence there is nothing that will contradict with the Quran. You have to understand that even the cutting-edge Quantum physics completly coincides with the Quran.

                        Peace

Not only that, but some fools think that in those days there were no premature births, miscarriages, abortions, dead babies, etc. for their own observations, that only recent scientific studies have proven that it was not possible for Muhammad to have ever known about such things when it comes to verses 225, 4067, 7538, etc.

Interresting comment danish, because also the rest of the world also had experienced all these things, but only came to the conclusions mentioned in those verses in the last 2 centuries............So history proves your comment being wrong...............

                              salaam magi & enquirer

So what if these facts were known at the time, does this make the Quran fallible - of course not. Only if any of the known facts are wrong then obviousouly that is a different matter.

Enquirer if a proven scientific fact contradicted what is in the Quran then the Quran would fail as laid down by its own criteria. Remember proven scientfic fact is not same as some fanciful theory, as any idiot can formulate this.

Even if all the facts were known at the time. Mohd must have been a superman to have all these and the various scriptures. He must have been also a complete swot who spent all his time in the local library. Wonder if he ever had any time for anything else

                              regards

Stillearning; I think muhammed was a genius, and he surely did a lot of research to come to his conclusions...Look at buddhas work....his theories on conciousness and humanity are superb, and scientifically very plausible....In fact buddhas work is probably superior to our 'current' mainstream science....
And yes,i dont mean unverifed, fanciful theories, but real science...

Peace still-learning and all. I agree, the fact that some of the 'scientific facts' being known before the time of the quran, does not make the quran 'wrong' in that sense...
Another point though,is why shouldnt the quran,if its the last and complete scripture, contain ALL the scientific facts from the past, present and the future? (or at least the present ones.)....because the implication is that the quran is valid for guidance till the 'day of judgement'....?
Are all the scientific facts that have yet to be discovered,or even those that have been recently discovered,in the quran...?

Give the scientists and scholars (including mquran and Ahmed) anything to work on and they will soon extract certain verses and conclude them too, just like they did with "splitting of the moon". If they can't, just acknowledge that Quran is not for all times. D

No, ignorant point. Nowhere in history before 1800 did anyone know the facts mentioned in the Quran. You want to use science to disprove the Quran, but when it comes to your won claims you don't use it. There are no written records from before 1800 that even comes close to what is given in the Quran. Also we have no proof at all that Buddha said those things, and there is not one single thing that really coincides with science, it only has good philosophical points but most of these came from the Greek schools that were taken up into Buddhism and Hinduism.

Hang on a sec. Mr. Arnold. Don't be too quick to make such judgements just because you are "married to the Quran". You mean to tell me that the entire world came to know about such things ONLY via Quran whose conclusions came about 2 centuries ago, hence proclaiming its exclusive divinity??? Are you telling me that people living just before the Quran was revealed had no idea about these things. Better think again before you make such high-ended superficial claims.
