You believe the Quran is the word of 'Allah', plain and simple and no other information supercedes it. So what's the point of 1736 in the first place regardless of what people bring about? That is not only a circular reasoning but a moot one at best. Are you even familiar with who and what 'Allah' is, the concept of GOD and why I believe that the Quran is NOT and CANNOT be the words of GOD. Anyhow, this is a different subject matter altogether and I shall be happy to discuss this in its appropriate thread/section. But for now, I can see that you are quite naive.
Well ,well, well. Alot of things are answered for me by your revealing of this.

Peace Ahmed, Oben and All
Peace All,
2130 Do the unbelievers not realize that the heaven and the earth used to be one solid mass that we exploded into existence? And from water we made all living things. Would they believe?
Awa lam yara allatheena kafaroo anna alssamawati waal-arda kanata ratqan fafataqnahuma wajaAAalna mina alma-i kulla shay-in hayyin afala yu/minoona
If you believe that "jinn" are living things then 2130 means they must be made of water. This is a bald fact. An inescapable reality.Very good point !
why it is good I wonder?
under that flawed point then the Quran has a contradiction because the Quran said humans were created from soil, now the above says everything alive is created from water
please resolve the contradiction Oben has hatched with his flawed pointI don't see any contradiction here. The Ayah clearly saysAnd from water we made all living things. Would they not believe?
"From" is "Min" in Arabic. It indicates meaning being part of something.
What is water? It is H2O.
The jinn are made from water because they can very well be made from Hyrogen only or Oxygen only, or combined with other elements. I would guess it is Hyrogen.
http//en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hydrogen
God says that jinn are created from Marijin min Naar.
The word Marij comes from the root Ma-Ra-Ja
This word or its derivatives appear in the following Ayat + + + +.
Good sister, i donlt see a contradiction either, but I hoped truth will respond to it as you did
now let me ask you please
what Jinn means for you?I am really glad that after the observation of Oben (truth) that at least I know now for sure that they are physical beings in, mainly, a gas state. They can be part of us and that depends on our chemistry at the moment. Like in a state of a strong, heated emotions, for example anger, I think that when the atoms in the water of our body start to move apart, we feel the "adrenaline rush" and the sudden strength, this looks to me like jinn power as we can do things that we cannot do under ordinary circumstances. And maybe that is why it is said that Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) was advising that in anger we should make ablution, and also to sit down. The water will cool us and the sitting will settle us down to earth. This should bring us back to our earthly human nature.
And just remember that before the formation of Earth, the whole universe was gases. This explains that jinn existed way before humans...
Maybe the scientists here can help with this founding. Appreciated!

Peace,
Nabster
Angels (pure energy/light)The Quran doesn't say this. We don't know what angels are made of. And energy is as much pure light, there doesn't excist something like 'pure' light. There only excist differetn frequencies of energy, where from we call certain frequencies light.
Nabster
This also explains that Angels and Jinns can morph and take human forms whereas humans cannot.Quran says this only about angels not jinns.
Peace

Peace Nabster,

Yes ok, this information is culturally (arabic) based, and since we restrict ourselves to Quran Only, it is therefore no proof ...
Pure energy "nuur" (not pure light), ie particles that have no mass like photons.
NabsterThe Quran does not say what the Malae'kah are made of. I don't recall anything of that ever said in Quran.
-
Brother TAJ, Peace,
I said it was culturally based... We accept culturally Angels made from Nuur, and in the Quran it is not stated that the people exposed to the Scripture ever asked what were Jinns or Angels, so it might be the case that what they knew to be the case was close enough to the truth.
Then Allah describes Angels as having different levels of powers (more wings), which again point to energy.
However Allah refers to Inns and Jinns as the both ones who have mass (ayuha athakallan), so by inference, once can deduce that angels do not have mass, so they migh be made of pure energy/radiation.
And Allah knows best
Salam

possibly the scientists will help one day to prove that the angels made of light
i'm just amazed that you picked on brother nabster for saying the angels are made of light and it is not in the Quran while you posted a whole heap of ironic ideas that was never mentioned in the Quran
Be fair sister
Take care

Beings on the Quantum field level?

If it's hydrogen only, or oxygen only, then it doesn't come from (min) water, since both exist in isolation from each other in the atmosphere.

Peace,
To have children with us, they must have DNA, which is mass. That is why i don't believe that jinn has the same meaning everywhere. Sometimes it refers to emotions, as the 'jinn made out of fire' verses are always connected with the 'humans are from clay' verses, which shows to me, that only these jinns are like 'fire'. Soemtimes jinn refers to humans, sometimes to legends, made up idols, angels, forces of nature, ancestors. It depends on the context. The 'energy beings' can also fall under the term jinn, but i don't believe jinn is used as a title only refering to the 'energy beings'(if they excist), but is a global term as 'walking being'. There are to many verses which doesn't fit with the 'energy beings' concept.

Peace,
Yes, but not in the same structure as with human beings which is needed for DNA exchange and unification.

Peace,
I have read to many jinn stories. I was a sunni before i returned to the Quran. So no need to think i don't know the arabic folklore....but thanx anyway....

Peace be upon you all,
Jinn are the thoughts and images which are HIDDEN from sight.
This message is about US.
What guidance can be found in stories about "invisible ghosts" that we never come in contact with?

Salaam Nabster,
I disagree with the term "confused muslims" above just because someone does not understand the quran in a different perspective than mine. I don't see them as "confused" at all. For me personally, the perfect understanding belongs to The God and Him Alone. A lot of people are here to learn and explore ideas. Kyle (IdolFree1) is one of such people, just read all his past posts and you'll understand what I mean.
Besides, being confused has its benefits too. That way, we have the strong desire to learn more in order to stop that confusion. It'a all about growing in understanding really. Including understanding the "miracles" or "examples" mentioned in the quran.

Peace Nabster,
Whoever believes in God, and the last day, and contributes to society has nothing to fear, nor shall they grieve. Isn't that God's promise? I got news for you bro, not many of us here see eye to eye on more than a few topics. What we share is the joy of being free to express and explore ideas with each other, with no fear of being shut down or booted. If it's your attachment to miracles that has you leaving, know that there are quite a few members that believe as you do and have stuck around. It's the dynamic of different beliefs and perspectives that makes this place thought-provoking. I wouldn't have it any other way.
Anyway, if you gots to go, then you gots to go. But if you can rethink it, then your presence is welcome.
Peace,
Tay -
Peace nabster
I urge you to not leave. We need as many minds as we can get for that is what leads to discussion which leads to new insights. Which brings me to my next point. No need to call certain people "confused muslims" brother. Like Tay said, it is rare for all of us to see eye to eye on an issue. Is this bad? Is it bad to discuss and learn from each other? Is it bad that we sometimes realize that others have different perspectives and experiences that color those viewpoints? We can all learn from each other. No need for knee-jerk reactions. Just an open mind and guidance from The God. So I urge you, stay with us and we will all learn from each other, except if God wills.
Remember this verse
"O you men! surely We have created you of a male and a female, and made you tribes and families that you may know each other" 4913

However there are too many confused muslims on this forum, so I will bow down gracefully.
The defiant magical golden words.
