hasnt rashad khalifa confirmed the quran was out of errors with the 19 code?
he found two verses that were messing up all the 19 code system.
those two verses are in sura 9.__no bismillah__called the immunity,repentance,ultimatum,many translations but,its a medina surah with 2 mekki verses when in all quran mekki suras have medina verses in it.(the opposite)
still allah says it will remain pure and i believe in it 100 percent,it was memorized by many people so it couldnt have changed.its also a recitation with rhyming in it,so u cant rhyme cat with dog,it has to remain cat and cat.(also another thing that makes it harder to change it)
so this 2 verses taken out ment the quran was perfect,if the 2 verses werent there just saying the quran its "perfect" without a failure to be iliminated wouldnt be so much believable.......

Thanks for the welcome, and may God guide and protect you too. This forum has been a blessing in helping me expand my threshold of understanding and acceptance of different ideas. Since you brought up the salat, I read the articles on free-minds.org, namely 'What is Salat' by Layth (http//www.free-minds.org/articles/quranic/salat.htm), who presents only three mentioned times of the day for it
"And thou shall hold the contact-method at two edges during the day, and the near part of the night. The good deeds take away the bad. This is a reminder to those who remember." (11114 Free Minds Translation)
"And establish regular prayers at the two ends of the day and at the approaches of the night For those things, that are good remove those that are evil Be that the word of remembrance to those who remember (their Lord)" (11114 Yusuf Ali Translation)
Since you say you're still researching on this, perhaps you can help me Abdullah Yusuf Ali, in his commentary on this particular verse, says that the Arabic term used for 'approaches of the night' is a plural term in the language. Apparently, in Arabic, there are specific words for singular, double, and plural (therefore, at least three). So Yusuf Ali's explanation is that the two ends of the day are Dawn and Noon solat, and the 'approaches of the night' (now, at least three, according to the Arabic language) are the Afternoon, Dusk, and Night solat. He concludes as saying these are the canonical five daily prayers.
In the Free Minds article, this 'plural' term is mentioned, but the problem wasn't addressed properly. Furthermore, the whole wording in the Free Minds translation is different to indicate a single term '...and the near part of the night'. Surely a person who has done research on this verse has at least come upon Yusuf Ali's argument?
Can you kindly share your personal findings on this crucial subject?

"tonggang tonggek" means , um,.. you know when you ride see-saw at a playground..? one side goes up while the other goes down? yeah, that's sort of the word's meaning.

The more you study and research on what's solat/solah, the more you will found out that it isn't the tonggang tonggek thing.

Well, yeah, I have sorta been getting that idea (just a quick update, I'm way past halfway through the Quran...I'm trying to finish before Syawal, remember..). But it's tough to get rid of old habits, yknow. It feels so wrong to salat any other way. I've been so confused lately on the steps and things to say, being very careful in trying to worship God alone. But rest assured, I've been trying to be as sincere and as honest as I can, and I do realize that these steps don't really matter, just as long as I'm being true to the purpose and meaning of the salat.
But I think there's nothing wrong in performing salat the traditional way, for the sake of standardization. If some of you feel that salat steps can be personally interpreted, that's all fine when you're performing it alone, but when doing congregational salat, some sorta standard way must be in place. I still think that it's important, although yes, I've started to disagree with some of the recitations.
