I am grateful to God for still being in love with my wife 19 years after our marriage ;D, for having given me two wonderful intelligent children, for living in the most beautiful land one can ever dream of and most of all, for the mind He gave me to be able to choose the right path angel

I am grateful that I live in country where the water is safe/clean/crystal clear, almost 20% of the world?s population do not have access to safe drinking water. There was a time when I had an addiction to water and I used to drink 16 glasses of water a day!
I am grateful I live in a country where racism is not out of control like it is in places like Russia.
I am grateful I can read, because even in the West illiteracy levels are disappointing (20% of the population in America is illiterate!)
I am grateful I have a roof over my head, there are so many people in my town that are homeless, my bedroom is in the attic and I am grateful that I have the biggest and the best bedroom in the house .
I am grateful that I have 4 amazing sisters; especially my youngest sister, she?s adorable .
I am grateful that I have parents that care for me so much, I am grateful that they tolerate my inexcusable behavior and the fact that they are there for me when I need them.
I am grateful for things like T.V, Internet, books, etc. Life would be so boring without them.
I am grateful I live in an area where crime rate is low.
I am grateful that I have left school (I left 2 years ago but I am still
celebratingbecause it sucked so much! ;D)I am grateful that I am no longer a Sunni and follow the Quran alone.
I am grateful for my aunty who has bent over backwards for me by helping me get a good job and helping me with further education qualifications.
I am grateful that my other aunty treated me like a princess and spoilt me rotten when I was a kid; she used to buy me everything I wanted.
I am grateful to live in a country where women are considered equal to men. (I am infuriated by the treatment of women in ?Muslim? countries >().
I am grateful for not having any disabilities.
I am grateful to be healthy.

I think it is more because English is kind of hard. Unlike some other languages, in English how it is written is not how it sounds.

Peace Angel,
I have a question, and truly, I ask this out of curiousity (not animosity). I also ask this, because I'm not sure if I can answer it the way I want to if it happened to me.
I am grateful for not having any disabilities.
Would you still be grateful, if you (God forbid) got a disability?
I would like say - Ofcourse! Definitely!... but I'm not sure I can say that honestly 100%, because I'm not disabled.

I am incredibly thankful for some events in the last few months. After having discovered God alone and setting up with this website with layth some years ago, i had a crisis of faith that lasted for a while.
Last year during Ramadan God brought me back towards the faith and the Quran, I also met a believer whom I got engaged to.
God has been more generous than I deserve in recent months.

Peace Jankren,
Yep, English is not an easy language, but I still feel that it does not excuse the fact that illiteracy levels are so high, our governments our simply not doing their job properly.
But English is an International language which makes it really useful, even if you just grasp the basics.
Just curious, how many languages do you know?

Peace Zenje,
Living with a disability is (obviously) very difficult to live with, and being dependent on others is disheartening, but I do have a very supportive family which is something to be grateful for.
Even if I do have a disability it does not change the fact that I have a lot to be grateful for. I know it sound?s crass but the victim-mentality feels like a form of self-abuse, it is difficult to transcend the victim mentality but having it won?t do anyone any favors?.
But I guess it?s the type of disability and/or the severity of it, is what needs to be taken into consideration.
Even people with disabilities can still enjoy life.
It?s mainly your attitude to life that is more important then what actually happens to you.
Psychologists say that a person can get used to anything no matter how horrible, no matter how punishing and no matter how grotesque, you can eventually psychologically adjust/accept the situation, even if it takes a very long time.
Having said that I don?t have a problem against people with disabilities opting for Euthanasia or if a woman wants an abortion because the fetus is abnormal ~ which makes me a hypocrite really. -X

I am grateful for people like Princess Diana, Mother Teresa, Martin Luther King Jr, etc. who made the world a better place.
I am grateful to people like Anna Politkovskaya, Rachel Corrie, and all the other people who lost their lives for exposing severe human rights violations.
I am also grateful to all the inventors who have made a massive difference to our world. Especially for the person who invented the toilet, I can?t bear to imagine what life would be like if we didn?t have 'em lol.

Peace,
It's better with a toilet you don't have to sit on with your butt, think of all nasty bacterias on the seat. I like the toilets in Asia it was a hole in the ground LOL and a water hose to clean you with.
Peace
