Selaam
Well, i downloaded the file and was reading the 2nd sura and there were about 6 verses that were missing, example 2165 shows only this "422676069" and 2126 shows this "222676096" on my SonyEricsson k750i. There were other verses that are missing but I don't remember the numbers.
Maybe there are bugs that need be fixed
Peace

Salam Brother Haroon and FJ,
Thanks very much for your replies.
Brother Haroon, I forgot to tell you that I updated the http//www.free-minds.org/mobile/ page - it now explains more clearly about the both the WAP and PC method, please check for me again. Yes, the WAP installation method was given in this page. Yes, the number of downloads is the total number times people downloaded it so far. It's still quite little but I'm sure it will increase after we fix all the bugs and deploy it officially - if God so wills. We can also deploy it on leading mobile software portals like handango.com and getjar.com.Dear FJ, thanks very much for your help to test and detailed observations. I'm trying my best to find the possible causes of the problem and I'd come back to update real soon - if God so wills. It would be nice if you also tell some other verses that have this same problem.

i didn't download it onto my pc but downloaded it via WAP and didn't encounter problems with those verses.
It's been ok so far. But I feel we should all use the program a lot and weed out any and all bugs until we it is water tight enough to distribute to the masses.

Peace All,
Dear FJ, I've just tried a new technique to fix what I think is the cause of your problem on the K750i - it is now re-built and uploaded. Please try re-downloading & installing to your phone and re-test it. Thanks very much for your help!
Dear Haroon, Yes, I agree with you. Thanks for your reply.May God Guide

Dear siki,
Thanks very much for your comments.
Please tell me which method you used to install it, did you install via PC? I'll try to find more details regarding Java installtion on Samsung D900 and reply again soon - if God so wills. As for now, I suggest you to please try downloading directly to phone via our WAP page as described in http//www.free-minds.org/mobile/ as the "Direct to phone (Over The Air)" installation method and please tell me if it works or not. (Because installing directly to phone via WAP is the most stable/default method that works best - as used by brother Haroon.)
Thanks again for your time and effort! May God bless you.

Peace All,
Thanks for your replies.
Dear siki, I've updated the http//www.free-minds.org/mobile/ page that now it has a link to download the JAD file for mobiles that need it also besides the JAR file - From what you posted, I think that your Samsung PC suite software would need both JAD an JAR file to install to phone (keep them in the same folder before selecting the JAD - because, technically, a JAD file is just a pointer to the real program which stays in the JAR -the program can not be in a JAD). However, I am sure that the Samsung SGH-D900 can install java apps via WAP - I remember try installing some of my other java apps it on my cousin's D900 via WAP. So please try our WAP if you still cannot use the JAR and JAD together to install from your samsung pc suite software.Dear Haroon, technically it should work on the MAC also, send the jar via bluetooth... my friend uses a MAC notebook and he can also bluetooth files to my phone - but yes, many times MAC IS special and different . Anyway, when I develop mobile software - I always use bluetooth to send the JAR file to my Nokia S60 phones for installing/testing and it always work - same as the Motorola V3i and L6 - JAR via Bluetooth from my PC. Maybe you can try agin because there was some MIME type problems before that made some browsers interact with the JAR file strangely - because the webserver didn't know these file extentions and their content-type, but now it is fixed by using some PHP code to be the download manger that returns the content-types instead of the webserver.
Thanks again for all your patience. I'm confident that this project will succeed well - if God so wills.

Peace Haroon and Zidane,
I, too, downloaded it via WAP but encountered those problems.

Bro Zidane I shall download it again and see if those problems are still there and let you know.
thanks for the good work and God bless you for that because I always wanted to have Quran on my mobile and was never able to get one in English.

Dear FJ,
Yes, please try again because I updated it expecially for you and I think it might be ok for your phone now as in my post to you above (I improved the data reading mechanism to be the most stable/sure way possible - the old method could stop if the data source of your phone was not ready and I think that is the source of the problems you had - I'm just guessing, there might be other possible sources of the problems you encountered.)
I'm happy that you like the idea of this project and I'm at your service to make it work well - if God so wills.May God Guide

Dear siki,
For installing via PC to your Samsung SGH-D900, I think this link can help you http//www.expansys.com/ft.aspx?i=138117&thread=47
In the thread of the link also says about downloading via WAP, which you don't have to make because we already made it as suggested in the http//www.free-minds.org/mobile/ page.May God Guide,

Peace and blessing to all,
Dear Zidane, I have another suggestion to make. Could you please add a function capability on the java applet to move forward and backward using a joystick on the mobiles? Like < > in the middle and use left and right to move back/forward. It would be also good if you could add a bookmarking function.
God bless
FJ -
Dear FJ,
Thanks very much for your suggestions, I'm sure they will be very helpful to ther user. The joystick feature would need quite a lot of work because the current user interface system provided by the phone's jave implementation - like the text box you see - can't receive key events, I should re-code it to the game's UI system called Canvas, so this feature would probably come afterwards - if God so wills.I'll try to add them after I make sure that the current verion/build is stable across all phones that can install it - especially the issue that you reported.
Please tell me if the current build fixed the problem you had about missing text of some verses and are there any other error that you see on your K750i phone? I really want to know about this.
Thanks for all your time and effort!

Hahaha, I think I heard in the news that Apple will not support Java J2ME in their iPhones (my friend likes MAC so much like you...) and this would mean that I can't make this same program work on it! (And, at the moment, I'm not willing to learn about their native programming either...) But if one day they actually have J2ME on it then this should work also.
