      Salaams,

      here is something.

      The Seven Qalities (using lanes)

      Niggerdliness,Decieving,Accomplishing,Leading,Disputing,enjoying-materialistically,socialising.

The main mistranlstaion is to do with Ism ? sing
      Samaa-pl
      Samawaat-pl,gr.

in some places they translate these words as clouds ,rain, heavens, attributes e.t.c

      1152
And ?O? My people ask forgiveness (of) your Lord then repent to Him He will bestow the attributes/nature/characteristics or knowledge of the things (for distinction) , to you abundant and increase you (in) strength to your strength so do not turn away as sinners.

      66
Did not they see how many we destroyed before them a generation We had established them with the disposition (to do good) such as not We have established you and We sent/bestowed the attributes/characteristics- knowledge of the things (for distinction), on them abundantly and We made their prosperity (from) trade/business under them yet for their sins We destroyed them and raised in their wake fresh generations (to succeed them).

      Original Translation

      006.006
YUSUFALI See they not how many of those before them we did destroy? - generations We had established on the earth, in strength such as We have not given to you - FOR WHOM We poured out rain from the skies in abundance, and gave (fertile) streams flowing beneath their (feet) yet for their sins We destroyed them, and raised in their wake fresh generations (to succeed them).

Allah pours out rain in abundance for certain people? Doesn?t it rain according to the weather patterns? And the geography of the earth?

And doesn?t each man get rain if they were in a rainy part of the earth?

      5924
He is Allah the creator the inventor of all things the bestower of forms to Him belong the attributes/traits/characteristics the Best glorify Him those with , the qualities and the disposition/desire-to do good, and He is the All ? Mighty the All- Wise.

      Original translation

      059.024
YUSUFALI He is Allah, the Creator, the Evolver, the Bestower of Forms (or Colours). To Him belong the Most Beautiful Names whatever is in the heavens and on earth, doth declare His Praises and Glory and He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise.

I think not everything glorifies Allah on the earth- I mean some human kind! Do they? But on the other hand everyone with the qualities(above) and the disposition ?to do good, glorify Allah provided they believe. ? I think or is this wrong?

      222
Who made the disposition-to do good your couch and the traits/characteristics/attributes as a canopy and sent/bestowed from the attributes/characteristics/traits essence and brought forth therewith from gain/aboundance/fruits as a provision for you so do not set up unto Allah rivals while you know.

      117
He it is who has created/proportioned/determined the qualities and the disposition/inclinatin-to do good in six Days/spans and was His throne on the essence that He might try you which of you is best in deeds but if you were to say (to them) you indeed shall be raised up after death would be sure to say those who disbelieve nothing this is but magic obvious.

      Seven heavensSeven Qualities in us.

      Original translations
the sun, the moon, the stars; the hills, the trees, the animals; and a great number among mankind?

      2218

Do not you see that (to) Allah they submit everyone with the qualities and everyone with the disposition/inclinations the Avarice/Niggardly the Deceiver the accomplisher/achiever (who know things-others don?t) the leader(s) the disputer the materialistic and the sociable/affectionate And many is justified on whom the punishment and whomsoever disgraces Allah then not him any to honour verily Allah does whatever He wills.

Finally Allah says everything is fully detailed ?where then are the details of the seven heavens?

And as above the details of the seven qualities are there but simply mistranslated.

And the names,attributes/characteristics/qualities are all I believe from the same root word.

Please note i havn't checked this through yet but i will.

BUT THE PAKISTANIS WILL KNOW THERE IS THE WORD radaA in Urdu, and I believe AL-ARD and Radaa have a common root and a common meaning. And its not Earth. It is Disposition/Inclination/Desire-to do good.
And this is mistranslated throughout the quran as is Ism/Samaa/Samawaat.

      Gods Blessings on all.

        Peace simple,

Thanks for your response. Here is something I found on the web. Seems the term "seven heavens" is a mystery. Below is the explantion I found at http//www.pakistanlink.com/religion/2000/03-31.html

        Much peace,
        lilyfleur

What is the concept of seven skies in Islam? From where does the first one start?

A 2. Seven skies are mentioned in the Qur?an in many places. It is interesting that the word ?sab? samawat? also occurs seven times in the Qur?an. (See al-Baqarah 229; al-Isra? 1744; al-Mu?minun 2386; Fussilat 4112; al-Talaq 6512; al-Mulk 673; Nuh 7115). Only Allah knows the real nature of these seven skies. Maulana Mawdudi in his Tafsir of the Qur?an says, ?It is difficult to explain precisely what is meant by the ?seven heavens?. In all ages man has tried, with the help of observation and speculation to conceptualize the ?heavens?, i.e. that which lies beyond and above the earth. As we know the concepts that have thus developed have constantly changed. Hence it would be improper to tie the meaning of these words of the Qur?an to any one of these numerous concepts. What might be broadly inferred from this statement is that either Allah has divided the universe beyond earth into seven distinct spheres, or that this earth is located in that part of the universe which consists of seven different spheres.

? (Towards Understanding the Qur?an, translated by Zafar Ishaq Ansari, vol. 1, p.58 note no. 34.) From the Ahadith (especially the Hadith of Mi?raj) we learn that the first heaven is the one that is closest to the earth. So the order begins from the earth and the highest heaven is the seventh heaven.

                  Peace be upon you,

The "earth" is YOU...each and every one of us....the "skies(heavens)" are that which influence our activity. There are 7 energies that effect mankind. This is where we get the 7 chakras centres. Isnt it interesting that when we look to the SKY during certain conditions that the one light fragments into seven colors(rainbow)?

Saturn, Jupiter, Mars, Sun, Venus, Mercury and the Moon are the 7 planetary correspondences....

But much of ths we must go outside of a single book to learn and study....of course we are told we must believe in that which descends to us AND THOSE BEFORE US.

God gave us the seven pairs and the great proclamation/reading.....each of the seven has a positive and negative side.

                      Salam All sun ~

Okay I know this is really a irrelevant observation,...but don't any of you think it weird that here in the US, the number one sitcom for families on television, based on a christian family, is called "Seventh Heaven." I was just wondering why they thought of that, also I think...not sure I dont watch it, but maybe they have seven kids?,...either way, does anyone know of the bible discussing heaven, whether it defines it as seven layers, or anything else?

                      Honor

;D. There is more in the story of Joseph where the number "seven" is used. I havent put the pieces together on that yet but the story of Joseph has deep symbolism that we must uncover.

The number seven has been sacred for the Hebrews and is the case in the Bible. The seventh day was the holiest according to Yahoweh. Seven years are also mentioned as having some significance if I recall.

There is a website that mentions seven strata as a scientific explanation for the seven heavens.

I too believe the seven heavens refered to is the seven atmospheric layers.

Description STS-39 Earth observation taken aboard Discovery, Orbiter Vehicle (OV) 103, shows the Earth's limb at sunset with numerous atmospheric scattering layers highlighted. The layers consist of fine particles suspended in very stable layers of the atmosphere. The layers act as a prism for the sunlight.

                              Peace all,

The understanding that "seven heavens" refers to the seven layers of the earth's atmosphere is completely wrong because it contradicts with 4112 where we are told that the lowest heaven is adorned with lamps (stars). What lamps are there in the lowest atmospheric layer ?

4112 Thus, He then made them into seven heavens in two days, and He inspired to every heaven its affair. And We adorned the lowest heaven with lamps, and for protection. Such is the design of the Noble, the Knowledgeable.

hmm I have no idea !!

I think this will be discovered in the future !

My conjecture is that the known observable universe with all the galaxies and stars etc. is just the first heaven (per 4112) and there are 6 more heavens beyond that which have not been discovered yet.

                                  The God knows best !

i found in another qur'an translation this
4112 And He it is Who ordained that they become seven Heavens in two stages and assigned to each heaven its function. And We decorated the sky of the world with shining lamps, and made them secure (that they clash not in their orbits 419). That is the Design of the Almighty, the Knower.

sky of the world. not lowest heaven.

                                      Peace Nerspi,

The arabic is "AL-sama AL-dunya", making "al-dunya" an adjective not a noun according to Classical Arabic Grammar (note the TWO AL's), unless I am mistaken. Thus it can be the lowest heaven, not heaven/sky of the world. You would be right if it was "sama al-dunya".
