I doubt it. The Gulf-countries have a high human index development. Many of their citizens especially women are very educated and have been exchange students in the West. Such is only going to draw inspiration. Nobody wants to remain in a kitchen. If I was a woman I wouldn't want to serve a man.

More women in Saudi-Arabia for example are beginning to demand their rights that were taken by the Saudi and the Western regimes. For example the right to drive (see https//www.youtube.com/watch?v=sowNSH_W2r0). When Europe was primitive and when women were oppressed many rights began to show up when women were demanding small rights to be established. The point I'm making is that the right to drive is not the only right that is going to be demanded soon. More rights will be demanded and the Saudi regime better establish it before it ends up like Abdullah; a dead rat that probaly died of venereal disease according to wikileaks. They say European prostitution is not a good thing.

It is completely a disgrace how 'democratic' countries such as Denmark, Britain, Sweden, Germany and many other Western states keep supporting the theocratic Saudi regime. They are contributing to the Saudi regime on purpose whether one realizes it or not. Of course to a dumb average Western apologist, these are theories but the irony is that they aren't. It only proves that Westerners have not yet to evolve. One can argue that Europe is still primitive if it is going to support its 'friendly' regimes that are destroying women rights in other parts of the world. It is all about interests of course.

I come from an Arab country were women have had a strong roll in history especially since Zenobia. Some have taken part of nationalist secular groups (often socialist), others have taken part of communist groups and so on. All these groups have always been targetting Islamists and European facists/imperalists in the hope of establishing equality, secularism and democracy. European imperalists/facists and Islamists have always had a long history of opposing women rights. As a response, many feminists in the Arab world arose against those misogynists.

      Yeah, I've noticed that too.

My above comment was a joke about me, "Freedom".

However at the same time I'm really suprised that people who orginate from countries (that truly lacks human rights) talk about rights in the Arab world for women. Native women in countries such as Kuwait or the UAE are very educated (hell they even tend to be more educated than men) unlike Southeast-Asia and South-Asia were women are treated worser than dogs. But not only in South-Asia and Southeast Asia, even in the Gulf-countries were racism towards non-Gulf citizens is common. An Indian maid got her hand chopped off by her employer after she complained of terrible wages and I don't think the employer was given jail. Of course Saudi-Arabia would never do this to Western citizens because it does not dare to consider them inferior like it does to the non-Westerners. And let's not forget the prostitution and sex trafficking in Dubai were the majority prostitutes are probaly of South-Asian and Southeast origin who get treated like shit too.

https//www.youtube.com/watch?v=BNJeYU70c4w - Dubais Night Secrets Prostitution And Sex Trafficking In Dubai, women from India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Pakistan, and the Philippines travel willingly to the U.A.E. to work as domestic servants, .

Meanwhile the citizens (especially women) in Kuwait, UAE, etc are doing very well (compared to most parts of Asia) and enjoy the ferraris and will be celebrating when religion dies in their region because then there will finally be equality but that is assuming no dictatorship comes to power. I always keep thinking that the rich Arab states can become better than Europe combined. They have the oil, they only lack human rights. Their problem is tribalism and theocracy. Qatar for example could become like Norway but instead it becomes like Afghanistan with oil. However don't think the West somehow supports human rights in the Gulf-countries infact they have very good relations with the savagery 'moderate' regimes who are oppressing equality.

This topic is old so it is probaly the reason to why the link exists no more.

Of course both should have equal rights.

          with the same burdens?

The only one who disagrees are those conservative religious tards (especially Islamists) that do nothing but destroy planet Earth.

I could disagree with a few points concerning the "women's liberation" movement, instead of just stopping at the theoretical notion that sounds wonderful, the theoretical notion that we can all be equal.

One thing I would like to say is that it is important not to use the Qur'an letalone any other religious scripture when talking about equality. All religions have proven to be the opposite of equality and a strong source of misogyny regardless of how many times their scriptures get reinterpreted. There have been many Arab feminists in the Arab world and in Arab history. Some have taken part of nationalist secular groups (often socialist), others have taken part of communist groups and so on. All these groups have always been targetting Islamists and European facists in the hope of establishing equality.

Your approval of communism is rather disconcerting, considering the fact that communists have killed tens of millions of people throughout history, but you are fine with this notion because some feminists were communists, apparently.

I'd like you to tell me how you managed to insert "quran" and "religion" together in the same sentence, unless you believe that the quran presents us a religion as we have known them for centuries, run by figure heads telling us how to live while they live like pigs behind the curtains.

Equality is weak in the Gulf-countries as they are complete garbage that have imposed religion on state therefor its population are suffering the consquences. Their regimes are being supported by Western countries that enjoys refering to them as 'moderate' regimes.

The most feministic countries are the western countries. We now have a conflicting belief. Will you support the western powers which aim to spread feminism around the world, despite the fact that you tell us these same western powers are supporting the misogynists of the middle east?

The regimes of the Gulf do not have many protestors knocking on their doors because they have oil. Once their oil runs out the people will get rid of them and their religion from the state. Some protestors are already protesting against the Gulf regimes but the reason why you don't hear anything is because the Western regimes keep hiding their crimes. One could argue that the Western regimes are equally as responsible as the theocratic regimes in the Gulf.

No one heard about the "arab spring"? The same fake revolutions where the few well dressed, well educated minority decided to speak in the name of the majority? Looking at the pew polling of the region, most people in the middle east want sharia and all that stuff. The western world was responsible for the arab spring tragedy, the one where a country, libya, was torn to pieces by the feministic western powers, for no reason other than he didn't want to play ball with the west.

I strongly believe in equality. To achieve it you have to ban religion from state and ban religious people from forming their own religious political parties while establishing both secularism and democracy.

Irak is a result of western secularism and democracy. Libya is a result of western democracy and secularism. Syria is a result of western secularism and democracy. Are you sure you want that?

Equality in Sweden began showing up when the Christians were no longer allowed to impose thier religion on the state and their religion was gotten rid off. Sweden today is a democratic secular country with a strong equality between both genders.

Sweden today is the third country with the most rapes in the world. They welcome in all sorts of migrants without checking their background. This is the mentality of the modern western democratic secularist.

If you're going to debate in favour of equality, you might want to avoid using words describing the western entities that caused the troubles we see in the world today.

In your own admission, the same progressive secularist democratic west protects the arab nations imposing arab based culture on the people in the middle east. I don't see where the quran plays in when looking at saudi arabia.

Both should have equal rights. And what do you mean by burden?

I could disagree with a few points concerning the "women's liberation" movement, instead of just stopping at the theoretical notion that sounds wonderful, the theoretical notion that we can all be equal.

Theocracy is the source for inequility.

Your approval of communism is rather disconcerting, considering the fact that communists have killed tens of millions of people throughout history, but you are fine with this notion because some feminists were communists, apparently.

I do not know where I said that I approve of communism. And FYI, I do not approve of communism. I infact oppose it and believe in capitalism. There were and are Arab parties that have communism as their ideology but they were nowhere as extreme as the ones that existed in Eastern-Europe and China.

One thing I'd like to add is that they were not only communists, some were only socialists but all were leftists that wanted to establish equality. Those that were communist weren't fully communist but only took some id?as from there due to inspiration.

The most feministic countries are the western countries. We now have a conflicting belief. Will you support the western powers which aim to spread feminism around the world, despite the fact that you tell us these same western powers are supporting the misogynists of the middle east?

Just because feminism in the West today is retarded does not mean feminism is retarded in the Middle-East. Infact far from it. The West does not support equality in the Middle-East but rather Islamists in the name of its interests.

Third country? Are you serious? Where do you read this? And FYI Sweden still has less rapes than countries such as India or Saudi-Arabia. Many Muslims like to point out that there are more rapes in the West but that is because rape there is actually reported and dealt with unlike in Saudi-Arabia were rapists can get away with their crimes and the victims being afraid to report rapes due to the fact that they can be jailed for it. Sweden is a feminist country and rapists get jailed unlike the UAE or Saudi-Arabia who arrests victims. http//edition.cnn.com/2013/07/20/world/meast/uae-norway-rape-controversy/

Sweden does not actually welcome all sort of migrants anymore. It is beginning to check for their IDs right now and is trying to minimize the amount of people coming here because there is no more room.

If you're going to debate in favour of equality, you might want to avoid using words describing the western entities that caused the troubles we see in the world today.

You try to sound as if the West spreads equality around the world when your arguments are clearly false. I will debunk you so easily on this one. The West has no interest in bringing freedom but only wants to destroy by bringing a Saudi-Arabia like country or at least a country that can be considered having a 'moderate' regime.

the game of labels is dangerous which is what i'm hinting at
we don't need a label such as "feminism"
it's divisive on its own already

The countries that were supporting the "Arab spring" were theocratic countries like Saudi-Arabia, Qatar, and hell even democracies like the West. the egyptians voted themselves the muslim brother hood, the elections were legit, the majority wanted the muslim brotherhood

no it's not, iraq is in ruins, it has been completely destroyed by america, i find it very concerning that you actually give support to american action in the middle east

              here

              rapes per 100 000, 2010, sweden third

it's useless to talk about raw numbers if we don't look at the proportions

and we do not know if the number of victims that get arrested is significant to begin with, we i know is that saudi arabia gets to be trigger happy with who it sends to prison and who it beheads, and they do behead a lot of criminals and drug smugglers, and terrorists as well, despite also funding them and financing extremism around the world

anyway i provide evidence to you that sweden is third in terms of rape

Sweden does not actually welcome all sort of migrants anymore. It is beginning to check for their IDs right now and is trying to minimize the amount of people coming here because there is no more room.

it's too late for them, people who used to say "you better not have open door immigration policy" would be labelled racists
sweden is getting what it deserves to be honest
liberalism like we see in sweden is a mental illness i want to say, any dissenting opinion is squashed by the liberal press there

You try to sound as if the West spreads equality around the world when your arguments are clearly false. I will debunk you so easily on this one. The West has no interest in bringing freedom but only wants to destroy by bringing a Saudi-Arabia like country or at least a country that can be considered having a 'moderate' regime.

then who will do this? the champion of feminism and "human rights" is the west today

we can't rely on the west for society building
the west has fully rejected the notion of personal responsibility that comes with freedom
the founding fathers of america understood the importance of personal responsibilities when it comes to freedom and liberty, but americans today just want all the fun of freedom and liberty, but none of the responsibilities

we haven't talked about this issue which is leading more people astray than any salafist cleric in the middle east or wahabist cleric in europe funded by saudi arabia

You have no id?a what you are talking about. I was actually in Egypt when the Muslim Brotherhood along with Morsi was kicked out. Here are the videos

https//www.youtube.com/watch?v=dLnD_8nbM1c - Millions Egyptian in Egypt against Muslim Brotherhood and Morsi in all city and town

                https//www.youtube.com/watch?v=W8HwGdx-jRQ

The nationwide rallies were the largest in Egyptian history. There was a reason to why the Egyptian army gave Morsi 48 hours to resign. If the Egyptian army sided with Morsi then the army would be on the losing side due to the fact that they were easily outnumbered by protestors so the army instead decided to join the majority by giving Morsi 48 hours to resign.

Meanwhile those who supported the MB were probaly only thousands. I can assure you almost nobody likes Morsi letalone the Muslim brotherhood. The MB is killing Egyptian soldiers as well as Egyptian civilians. Egypt arrested many MB members and is fighting against the MB. The Egyptian constitution is being rewritten and is going to remove every text that was inherted from religion. Prior to the elections, many voted for Morsi because they were hoping for a better economy which Morsi didin't even bring. During the protests many Muslim broterhood terrorists were throwing off Egyptians from buildings.

no it's not, iraq is in ruins, it has been completely destroyed by america, i find it very concerning that you actually give support to american action in the middle east

Iraq is doing a lot better today than it was under Saddam. I don't give support to American action in the Middle-East so I don't know where you got that assumption from either. Go to Iraq and praise Saddam, you will easily get shot in the head by Iraqis because these Iraqis were oppressed by Saddam. I can assure you that only little like Saddam. You realize that many ISIS terrorists are pro-Saddam, right?

                Iraq is not in ruins.

Again the fact that there are more reports of rape does not mean there is more rape in Sweden than the Asian countries. It just means that in Sweden it is frequently reported unlike in Saudi-Arabia or the UAE were victims get arrested. There is no way that Sweden has more rapes than countries such as Pakistan. And in Saudi-Arabia the regime is good at allowing rapists, murderer, etc get away with their crimes.

it's too late for them, people who used to say "you better not have open door immigration policy" would be labelled racists
sweden is getting what it deserves to be honest
liberalism like we see in sweden is a mental illness i want to say, any dissenting opinion is squashed by the liberal press there

Sweden still has a good HDP and a GDP per capita. Your country probaly sucks ten times more, so why do you keep talking about Sweden? What Sweden took in is like nothing compared to what other countries took in. And the first thing you said is incorrect. You do not get labelled as racist for criticising Immigration, the only problem is that often those people who do are connected to rigt-wing racist groups.

Sweden is a democractic secular country and not theocratic.

i asked if the quran offered us a "theocratic" solution like we can see in countries in the middle east today

During the protests many Muslim broterhood terrorists were throwing off Egyptians from buildings.

the elections were legit and show that a majority of egyptians wanted them in power
the pew research shows up a majority of Muslims as of today, that hold beliefs based on arabic understanding and scholars, want the shariah as it is known today
when you talk of democracy in the middle east, you can not conveniently leave out the american intervention which is the one that tries to impose democracy on people who do not want democracy to begin with

                  Iraq is not in ruins.

iraq is very much in ruins, mosul is in the hands of terrorists, the standard of living has been destroyed, the country's infrastructure is destroyed, there are daily mass massacres there, and the reason ISIS even exists today is because of the persecution the shias commited against the sunnis in iraq, and how america has completely banned the baathists from government positions because they were associated with saddam

saddam used to keep the terrorists in check, now that he is dead, we have ISIS happening
if you studied the situation in irak you would know all of this

Again the fact that there are more reports of rape does not mean there is more rape in Sweden than the Asian countries. you don't understand the concept of proportions
i advise you to take math classes or something, wow

Whether the elections were legit remains unknown. Elections are never legit in the Arab world. The research doesn't show sh't.. Come down to Egypt and support the MB and see what happens. Maybe you can reference to that source when you get captured by either the government or the people..

This argument is just too primitive for me. The reason why ISIS exists is because of Turkey that has contributed to the terrorist group by opening its borders allowing Islamists to join the terrorist group. Saddam never kept ISIS in check and never would be able to do this either. Many ISIS terrorists are foreigners that are flocking through the Turkish borders.

Youre right that many Sunnis were displeased with the current government due to religion. However they were doing a lot better under that government than Saddam. Right now many Sunni tribes are joining in the fight against ISIS in Iraq.

Lol 'math classes', math classes have nothing to do with it. Please use your brain. For starters learn more about Saudi-Arabia instead of assuming that it actually punishes criminals.

Stop saying 'proportions' thinking you know what it means. They never had a prosperous life, it was still hell. You obviously prefer to live more in the West than in your so called 'axis of resistance' areas. And the military despot is only there temporarily and not permanently.

so it's legitimate when a guy you like does fraud, but not legitimate when people you don't like, under monitor of independent organizations, get elected?
