    Peace Leo

The Messenger was asked to follow what was revealed to him and we are to follow the Messenger. By following the Messenger we will be following the revelation from God. So it is not only him who has to treat his parents well.

Thank you very much .So you agree we have to "Follow the Messenger"
    bravo bravo bravo sun
Agreed this is the Quranic message that we have to follow the "Prophet PBUH.

      Have you pondered upon the verses 2170, 4135, 923-24, 1187, 185, etc.and 4324 somehow displaying mischieviousness.

      Dear
Instead of Number reference why don't you put the Aya on the post as I do so that every one is benefitted.

Dear, I hate to sweat. If the question involved one or two verses, then it wouldn't be a problem. There are too many verses involved to make a lengthy post unless necessary. I'd suggest you search and collect all verses pertaining to "parents" and see if you can make any heads and tails of it. Besides, it will give you a chance to actually read the "Great Reading".

yes research is very difficult for "Quranists".
They hide the verses arabic text so that they can extract the meaning of their liking and people should believe blindly.
Sorry I do not follow this style .I believe in Facts not on hearsay.

            Salaam all,

Here is the Aya and the showing of the singular and plural yous

1723 Thy (singular) Lord hath decreed, that ye (plural) worship none save Him, and (that ye (plural) show) kindness to parents. If one of them or both of them to attain old age with thee, say (singular) not "Fie" unto them nor repulse (singular) them, but speak (singular) unto them a gracious word.

The first singular addresses the messenger.

The plurals that came just after address all.

The second singulars address the generic human because it came after the plural. Why? because the plural set the stage that the addressing is to all and not only the messenger. Why did it address the singular at the end? because it makes for a stronger address as in talking to each one of us directly.

            Take care all.

            Hussein

You go through posts and verify how many of them contain arabic text of Quran .
                    They either give

                    -Transliteration

They hide actual text .Why ?

But the history and the narrations these guys so stoically adhere to is completely devoid of any mathematics or science. Maybe hadeeth guys can invent their own math code to verify hadeeth.

You go through posts and verify how many of them are English, and more importantly, how many of them are on the "internet", an international network now used by civillians to spread information, originally invented by the Kuffar West while Holy Blessed Muslims (PBUH) were pre-occupied with the importance of beard trimmings and the "creationism" debate (as in whether the Quran was created or not).

As long as there is a reference to the Quranic verses, there is absolutely no justification for your own laziness.

The quranic verses should be copy pasted in the post.People who do not do this ,in fact are showing laziness.

Please in future be nice to me by not mentioning them.

Yes, clearly so. As for the verses, a lot of the time the entire post is riddled with references, and it would take far, far more time to post each reference than for the reader to simply open their Quran to the page and read. I wonder if you ask for this on IRC channels

Why do you bring traditionalists in? I am also against them.

Dear, I have never brought in traditionalists. I have only pointed out that Holy Blessed Muslims (RA) have spent more time in the 9th century than in the 21st. And people say time travel is impossible.

I dislike any person who tries to

I also go further and dislike

                            • Anyone who fails to acknowledge their mistakes and causes diversionary arguments
                            • Any hypocrite who asks others for reference but does not bring his own
                            • Anyone who refers to a human being as "Holy"

                            So simple.

So the word "Holy" in the "Holy prophet" phrase stings you.
Is it really so painful.? I am sorry I did not know.
But what can I do .At least He is our Holy Prophet.
Can you show me any Prohibition of using word Holy in the Holy Quran?? Go for another tampering.
So any talk about the Holy Prophet must be very painful for you.

I advise you to open up an English dictionary and find "holy" in it. You may be surprised...

Please remember that Jesus is the "Holy Son of God" according to Nazarenes.

So, I do not need a doctor, but you need to add a dictionary of English to that extensive shopping list.

Also, there is no question of a "Holy Prophet" unless you are referring to Abraham.

                                    -To teach a book
                                    -To give a book

                                        Salam all,

Please have a look at this verse 4615.
(Notice that it covers the same subject as 1723)

Samia, I am not saying that the command is for the prophet alone and not relevant to us. BIG NO!. I am questioning the ahlul hadith here why they suddenly exclude the prophet in the singular "you" in verse 1723. The prophet was the first to receive the revelations so why suddenly he is being excluded? If the reason is because by not excluding the prophet, quran will contradict hadiths then that is really biased approach to quran. We should read quran first and then read hadiths in light of quran and NOT the other way around (read hadiths first and try to interpret quran in such a way to fit hadiths).

                                          Salaam ade

Of course that's not what I meant. It seems that sometimes I remember people's posts more than they do ;D. I was referring to this

And then at the age of forty, he became the prophet after receiving the revelations for the first time. And ever since the prophet received revelations, he taught it to the people until he died at the age of around sixty.

That is from my memory. And if you want references, there are many out there such as
                                          http//www.cyberistan.org/islamic/muhammad.html

That's why I was confused ( confused) at Leoxyz's comment to that post (which seems now you shared the same understanding with him), which I found off point; but that was Leoxyz.
