    Hello people of intelligence.

What lessons have you learnt from chapter 12, the story of Joseph? I like to know if you have seen any hidden lessons that I have missed. People of intelligence, please enlighten me (non-"people of intelligence&quot.

    Thanks.

12111 In their stories is a lesson for the people of intelligence. It was not a narration that was invented, but an authentication of what was already revealed and a detailing of all things, and a guidance and mercy to a people who believe.

Thank you so much people for such an active participation. That was very helpful. Thank you for your time. I am feeling so indebted. I have noted all your comments and I am contemplating on them. I did not even realize there were so many lessons in the story. Quran rightly said that there are lessons for the people of intelligence. I love this forum. There are so many people of intelligence here. Thanks again and keep up the good work.

        Hello Explorer,

Although I am not a person of intelligence but here is my observation anyways

I still cannot get over the fact that Joseph put King's utensil in his brother's bag in order to keep his brother with him. I thought Islam advocates "say just" "do just" policy. This is clearly a deceptive policy, that Joseph followed.

How is this different than this

My brother is planning to migrate to Australia. I am not happy about this as I will miss him. I dont want him to leave Canada. So the day he was travelling to the airport I placed some drugs in his bad. Canadian authorities arrested him. He is still in Canada; out on bail. I still have my brother with me. Is this Islamic behaviour?

        Explorer.

"They planned and we planned; and we are the best of the planners".

That was the plan of the God; not Joseph's. That is why Joseph did what he did. I hope I have answered your concern.

            Hello Explorer,

Nice way of justifying the act. Lets say even if God planned it that way; how can God choose deception as the solution? If God can choose deception as an acceptable solution then I can do that too. Then I am also justified in putting drugs in my borther's bag so that he does not migrate to Australia leaving me alone in Canada.

Hey explorer, I think you are exploring too much. Take home from this story is "play smart; dont break law of the land and still use them in your favor". I hope that answers your question. Now move on...

                First lesson

Do not let children have the perception that your love is restricted to one or two sons/daughters.
It will create jeolousy and strenghten the desire to have the attraction and attention of the father.
The feeling of not getting love and attention of father because of another brother would create disquiet and agitation and psychological disturbance to the extent that for want of father's attention they could plan/consider killing the brother for the purpose of removing him away from the eyesight of their father in the hope that then his attention will be exclusively for them.

                  Lesson two

Love and attentioin cannot be had forcibly.
You have to color yourself in the color of the won whose love and attention is desired.

                  Lesson three

Adoptinng foul means to achieve a good purpose is as bad and condemned as achieving a bad purpose thorugh nice means. It may end up in tragic situation for many.

                  Lesson four

There is no reality and sanctity in the concept of "adopted son". There is possibility that it may jeopardize the sanctity of relationship. When Yusal alaihissalam was first brought to the house by Aziz he had told his wife that we may make him our son. I am sorry that I cannot translate this article at the moment in English, Urdu readers may benefit.

All information is correct to the best of my knowledge only and thus should not be taken as a fact. One should always seek knowledge and verify for themselves when possible: 17:36, 20:114, 35:28, 49:6, 58:11.

                      Justice will previal.

Joseph remained truthfull although ended up in jail, but eventually became a ruler.

                        LOL...

In any case, it was the plan of Joseph (though God's plan, on a much grander scale), not God's. Anything not good is attributed to the person, because God does only good - see 479. So, in this case, he was in error.

                          Peace,
Surat YUSSUFA did indeed change my life 360 degrees.
I learned that in this dream a believer has to shield himself with two things REMEMBRANCE+PATIENCE.
