Salaam and enjoy having the las tword that you will not fail to want to have after this.

      Salaam huruf,

Im hoping that I offer nothing that interests you. If you can't find what I offer, then alhamdulilaah. If I have no answer to your question that you already know the answer to, then believe as you will. Thanks for inviting me to have the last word. For that, I will post a quote

"Don't toss pearls to swine".....maybe you can tell me who the author is?

      As Salaamu Alaikum, peace

Why should I do it when I already know that you know which one it is? Are we here to play games or discuss the Book?

You're wrong in your assumption. I know such verse does not exist

Transliteration Wayas-aloonaka AAani almaheedi qul huwa athan faiAAtaziloo alnnisaa fee almaheedi wala taqraboohunna hatta yathurna fa-itha tatahharna fa/toohunna min haythu amarakumu Allahu inna Allaha yuhibbu alttawwabeena wayuhibbu almutatahhireena
Literal And they ask/question you about the menstruation, say "It is mild harm, so separate/withdraw the women in the menstruation, and do not approach them (F) until they be cleaned/purified, so if they became cleaned/purified, so come to them (F), from where/when God ordered you, that God loves/likes the repentant, and He loves/likes the pure/clean.
They ask thee concerning women's courses. Say They are a hurt and a pollution So keep away from women in their courses, and do not approach them until they are clean. But when they have purified themselves, ye may approach them in any manner, time, or place ordained for you by Allah. For Allah loves those who turn to Him constantly and He loves those who keep themselves pure and clean.

This ayat is important to physical preparedness before As-Salaat because of it?s implication for women. This ayat tells men not to approach women during their menstrual cycles or post birth bleeding, ?Al-MaHeeD?; until they have cleansed or purified themselves thereof, ?yathurna?. And when they have cleansed or purified themselves, ?ta-Tah-harna?, then men can approach their wives in the ways approved of by Allah. This is very important because it connects the state of ?Al-MaHeeD?, or menstruation and post birth bleeding, as one necessitating ?tah-hara? or cleansing and purification. Allah has told us in the last ayat given, 56, that we should not approach As-Salaat in a state necessitating ?tah-hara?. So this establishes from the Qur?an that women are exempted from As-Salaat as long as they are in a state of ?Al-MaHeed? as a Mercy to them from Allah!

          Peace.

"almaheedi" what does this mean exactly? menstruation or any type of female bleeding? I think to define this would be more beneficial to the understanding.

I see this has been translated as menstruation, but does it refer only to monthly menstruation or does it refer to any type of physical blood?

Clarification and evidence would be beneficial, God willing.

            Salaams YTV,

My understanding is that it means menstrual bleeding and post partum bleeding as well. I am not 100% sure if that is supported in all the lexicons and dictionaries. Don't know if that helps or not.

            As Salaamu Alaikum, peace

              Peace.

If anyone can please post God willing the answer to my question previously stated and listed below, this would be beneficial... God willing.

line of thinking associated with this

If it is referring to blood coming specifically from the vaginal area? then this would make sense as being menstrual and post delivery, BUT if it is referring only to menstrual blood from females this would mean something different thus creating a perplexing dilemma....it just wouldn't seem logical that menstrual blood is unpure... BUT the post delivery blood is pure. This wouldn't seem logical, now would it?

So if someone can give the meaning of the arabic term used please.

It's good to see that you have found it illogical that women do not have to pray during menustration but no mention of post natal blood. "Maheed" means menustration, and this is confirmed in this verse (654)

Waalla-ee ya-isna mina almaheedimin nisa-ikum ini irtabtum faAAiddatuhunna thalathatuashhurin waalla-ee lam yahidna waolatual-ahmali ajaluhunna an yadaAAna hamlahunnawaman yattaqi Allaha yajAAal lahu min amrihi yusran

Yousuf Ali Such of your women as have passed the age of monthly courses, for them the prescribed period, if ye have any doubts, is three months, and for those who have no courses (it is the same) for those who carry (life within their wombs), their period is until they deliver their burdens and for those who fear Allah, He will make their path easy.

                      Peace.

I appreciate your response to my question. AHA ( a light bulb went on! lol) I completely see what you are talking about, so thus carry it to the next step and show how this definition is used in the verse in question, and how can we deduce its' meaning.

P.S. Samia...I do not mean to cause you hardship by this request, I just appreciate the support of the beleivers in assisting in this issue, due to the fact of my lack of knowledge in the arabic language.

Thank God the Lord of all the Worlds for having believers around who are willing to assist and suppport others.
