What you call ?superior? rights are really greater duties/responsibilities. Women are not submissive servants; this same pompous superiority/inferiority perversion of interpreting Qur?an has been used to justify slavery, cruelty, to women and peoples.

What this superior inferior indulging is, simply put, four years old children blabber about whose daddy has a bigger car, and whose lollipop lasts longer, with mama's complacent look at their little marvels. Then some people become normal adults, while other land in new versions of their fantasies, like their daddylike superiority over them women and the infalibility of their magic wand lollipop, and the block now has become the whole world wide web. What amazes me is that they are not even selfconscious of the image they reveal.

Some infant psychologists might be of help I suppose. Another thing could be some practical lesson, like in some novels where women with impossible husbands plot some plan to change their ideas and habits overnight so that they turn obedient, peaceful, and faithful. Other than that the only thing is just try to hide the little laughs when one as to be with this kind of grown up children, so that they don't become too eveident.

Since only you used Quraic Ayats in disussing the matter I will respond to you

      Nun

So was she ? all are created equally in punishment and reward according to Qur'an.

      NO.

      Nun

Dear Nun, I have passed through the stage which you and others are passing, may be. There are only two ways out
I never said Women are slaves or something neither does Quran says that, but we should be able to face the reality and not try to mold the Quran according to our own wishes as some are trying to do.

Dear Nun, I have passed through the stage which you and others are passing, may be. There are only two ways out

      1. Quran is wrong like Elke and others said.
      2. Quran is correct and Men being superior to the women is through wisdom of Allah, like many other creatures are superior to many others.

      No third option.
When we start reading Surah "Women" see what it says

O people, observe your Lord; the One who created you from (Adam) one being, and created from it its mate, then spread from the two many men and women. You shall regard GOD, by whom you swear, and regard the parents. GOD is watching over you.

The mate was created for Adam and not Adam was created for the mate.

7189] He created you from one person (Adam). Subsequently, He gives every man a mate to find tranquility with her. She then carries a light load that she can hardly notice. As the load gets heavier, they implore GOD their Lord "If You give us a good baby, we will be appreciative.

If you read my previous post

      Rajah

The Ayats mentioned by Samia show they are equal when it comes to faith and believing, but then the result of this believing does not bring equality in life.

This post is also for the Ayats you mentioned.

In case you are interested in detail conversation regarding this, just read my previous posts and Ayats i mentioned and I will be grateful for your input on those Ayats.

      Thanks.
