    Peace,

If hell is a physical place that is. The people in the world who commit horrible crimes (see wars etc) without justice need to be paid for the horrors they have done.

There has to be a hell for the sake of truth. Blind people will have to see, deaf people will have to hear...

However, once truth shines and dispels untruth in the spirits of men, hell will finish by itself.

          I agree with that.

I did a search on the net on NDE - near death experiences - and it seems that people tend to report 1) things that are influenced by their faith, 2) that we get our personal customized hell, according to how negative/positive we have been in thinking... but the classical fire and brimstone hell is not that common. It seems that the fire, brimstone, boiling water, chains, physical torture type of a hell is more something typical of e.g. christianity and islam.

Some people claim that we can develope ourselves, even after death, and in the end we may come back to the light, and that the hellish state of consciousness is not necessarily eternal, only possibly. If you don't develop, then you remain in the miseries of your mental state and thoughtpatterns, but not because you are forced to, but because you don't get yourself out of it.

Why is so much in e.g. christianity and islam based on fear? If you don't do like this, or believe like this, THEN >D!!!

              Salaam,

If hell is a physical place that is. The people in the world who commit horrible crimes (see wars etc) without justice need to be paid for the horrors they have done.

Yet I believe it is beautiful that we understand the punishment is not for us to dish out!

              1. Behold, two (guardian angels) appointed to learn (his doings and note them), one sitting on the right and one on the left.

              Reminds me of -------> tempt

I Believe once the veil is lifted, our deeds will come into Light of the Divine Plan. Matters and deeds which are in conflict with the Divine Plan will become our hell. The Justice we are promised.

              1. And when he learns something of Our Signs, he takes them in jest for such there will be a humiliating Penalty.
              2. In front of them is Hell and of no profit to them is anything they may have earned, nor any protectors they may have taken to themselves besides Allah. for them is a tremendous Penalty.

It's up the self to come to these understandings and clear our concious according the Divine Will...
              peace peace

But why would those who experience a NDE witness hell? Maybe none of them deserved to go to hell. Besides, hell is not yet there. What are they going to experience?

If I believe in a fair God, I believe in justice in the hereafter, since I see that powerful criminals in this world do get away with it. In general, those who think that God is unfair in this world, usually do not believe in a hereafter, and vise-vrsa; and I see this as a paradox.

But why would those who experience a NDE witness hell?

There was an interesting show on PBS the other night were they were relating NDE to psychedelic trips. They are saying that the brain releases certain chemicals that induce a trip similar to if you take a psychedelic. look up DMT (Dimethyltryptamine)

What br. Zulf is saying makes sense. It's no wonder why just about everybody has had a similar experience. Much like dreaming.. patterns (geometrical) are created and then your memories of symbolism makes up the rest of the shapes into recognizable symbols ie. dead grandma calling you from the light etc... hence why there is much symbolism in characters you witness in your dreams. Meaning you see your mother or father etc.. but they are not what is truely being represented.. just your mind filling in the blanks and shapes... also for NDE, it's speculated that such a thing is the body's (mind's) mechanism to deal with death... yet there are also other properties of those who are experienced that will tell you goes beyond just the physical.

Maybe none of them deserved to go to hell. Besides, hell is not yet there. What are they going to experience?

It's not for us to say who deserves to go to hell or not and hell can be a state, which one can experience .. or at least get a taste of here.. and now... as alluded to in
2114.... ... ... For them there is nothing but disgrace in this world, and in the world to come, an exceeding torment.

                        peace

                              Peace

The final decision is with the Judge of the affair and pointing out that there could be a possibility that people who witness hell in these experience PROBABLY (i.e. in Samia's own words "maybe&quot do not deserve to go to hell does not sound like someone making a determination of who IS going to hell.

If I'm not clear let me put it this way

                              (1) Maybe none of them deserved to go to hell.

                              (2) None of them deserved to go to hell.

Sentence 2 would have to be stated to have me believe that Samia was as you stated, "say who deserves to go to hell or not" .

Saying that some people deserve hell is not the same as saying who deserves to go to hell or not. Saying maybe they do not deserve hell is not the same as they do or do not deserve to go to hell.

I believe there is hell and I believe there are people who will go to hell, so they deserve it. You cannot deduce more than that from this.

It's not about me feeling better, the same way I do not aim at making someone feel better. I am more serious than that. If someone misaunderstands me, I take it as my obligation to remove this misunderstanding. Also, if I misunderstand someone, I would like them to address my misunderstanding and correct it. I do not leave it at that because "it makes them feel better".

                                        Peace,

My beliefs of both Hell and Paradise is that they are merely allegorical to that sense that we are the ones who create those both places ourselves.

Everything is build upon cycles and when a cycle end a new appear etc. Same goes with our lives. And when we do good things we send out good vibes for other to catch up and if we do this on a regular base, we create our own paradise and we will be born into something good next time.

The same happens when you do something bad and evil and are doing this on a regular base, then you create your own hell and will be punished and born into something awful next time.

So karma and Dharma is likely something to consider even with upholding Quran, I really think this is there in Quran but we have been fooled by those ritual and traditional thoughts for so long but I really think this was the authentic idea but have been destroyed by people who like the materalistic things more than the universal things.

So Muhammad and Buddha are buddies!!!

                                          Maria

                                          Peace Maria

Did you glean this opininion from the Quran? If so I must have misunderstood the whole thing! o
