Many thanks for your replies but my question is still not answered, I inquired that if any one who performs salaat could direct me to the quranic verses which gives the details of how to perform salaat ul fajr/isha.Lets suppose if u r performing salaat ul fajr than u would start with ablution which could be found in surah 5 ayah number 6.Similarly when u prepare for salaat u must face kaaba so i need to know where in quran this instruction is given, again if u raise your hands to say allah o akbar or allah o kabir than where is that instruction than if u fold your hands or u just stand still and so on including how many rakaats to perform.

    Jazakallah

Thas like asking someone the Koran says be good to people, so how do we actually go about doing that. Or saying I wha to feed the poor but what kind of food should I cook and how do I deliver it, by car, foot and do i place the food in a dish. Should I feed them one go or every week or every month. Why do you insist in knowing a ritual?

It doesn't really matter. I have talked about this subject before where I told some people here that the salaat will be a problem for most Mulims. Unfortunantly we do not have consensus in this and therefore salaat can only be done individually. At least for now.

      Peace everyone

I've only been Submitting fully for that last 4 months. I have my moments when I falter...many of us do...all I can do is ask forgiveness and try to do better.

I feel that it's the intent that counts the most. For me....personally....I choose to do the 5 salats with 17 rakas. It's what I'm comfortable with at this time in my life. I would hope that God understands my attempts to please him even if I'm doing what some people think is a non Quranic ritual. I'm not claiming that particular ritual is commanded of me by God and his words from Quran. It's my personal choice. If a believer chooses a different form of prayer, I would think that God knows that believer's intent and would accept their prayer. What is commanded is that we pray to Him, glorify Him, remember Him, thank Him...as much as possible throughout the day and the night.

God commands us to bow and prostrate in the Quran.
O you who believe, you shall bow, prostrate, worship your Lord, and work righteousness, that you may succeed.

So I bow and prostrate. It doesn't say how many times or in what order the bowings and prostrations should be. The debate as to how many times a day to pray salat, when to pray salat, what to do and say during salat I've come to learn is a much heated debate from this forum and seems to have been going on for centuries.

As long as your intent us pure, I feel God will accept your prayers, in whatever form you conduct them.

      May God guide us all.

        Peace
God is sent his book by a phenomena calls the mathematical miracle Code in the Quran, I think the most important it's that we've embraced the God's message , and be sure when you take the Quran for reading ,then you're in contact with your lord, how many times we need for praying God in day ? if we consult well the Quran we'll find that there're only three prayer mentioned by name, and if we'll check the Arik discoveries we'll see that he's right too , also i don't think Rashad was poor in the arabic language, then why he accepted the Arik discoveries, I think he confirmed it , also please consult this work maybe you'll understand something .

SOME MIRACLES OF THE HOLY QURAN

        1. The word Iblis, the one Allah condemned, is repeated in the text of the Holy Quran 11 times, reference to seeking refuge with Allah against him is also repeated 11 times, Mashallah.

        2. The word museeba, meaning catastrophe or tragedy and its derivatives are all repeated 75 times, while the word shukr meaning thanks-giving to Allah, is also repeated 75 times, Subhanallah.

        3. The word harb, meaning war and its derivatives are all repeated 6 times, so is the word asra, meaning captives, and its derivatives, Mashallah.

        4. The word hayat, meanig life, and its derivatives are repeated 145 times, so is the word mawt, meanig death, and its derivatives, Mashallah.

        5. The year is comprised of 365 days, therefore the word yawm, day, is repeated 365 times. The word shahr, month, is repeated 12 times, and the word sa a, hour, is repeated 24 times, equal to the number of hours in one day. Subhanallah.

        6. The verb sajada, meaning bowing down, is repeated in the Quran 34 times, this is number of prostrations(sajdas) in the five daily prayers. The total number of rekat is 17 and there are 2 rekat per each prostration, hence the number 34, Subhanallah.

        7. The noun salawat(plural of salat) is repeated throughout the Quran 5 times only, equal to the number of the required daily prayers, Subhanallah.

The word fard, meaning obligatory and its derivatives is repeated 17 times throughout the Quran, which is the number of the rekat of the daily prayers, Subhanallah.

        1. The word mash, meaning to wipe or rub, occurs in 3 verses. this number equals the compulsory number of times of wiping during the performing of wudu, Subhanallah.

        2. The word quibla has occured 7 times throughout the Quran, which is the same number of the times of tawaf round the sacred quibla in the Kaba. Subhanallah.

        3. The word araja, and its derivatives, meaning ascending to heavens, are repeated 7 times in the Quran, the number equal to the 7 heavens, Subhanallah.

I think we need to confirm this work , I'm sorry I haven't means for to do this research .

        Peace

                    Dear Munshi

Perhaps, you will not find many authors and academics as much as I am in touch with people around the world. In addition to participating in some internet forums, I also spend about two or three hours a day to answer dozens of emails I receive from around the world. I try my best not to discriminate among people just because of their title or position. So, my not responding to your question has nothing to do with what you imply in your accusotory rhetorical question ending with six exclamation marks. The reason I did not respond to your question was simple. I thought that I had already expressed my position on the issue of sala prayer in an article titled "How can we Pray according to the Quran?" which is available at www.yuksel.org and is also published as and appendix of the Quran a Reformist Translation. (www.brainbowpress.com). After you read that article and study the verses I use in my reasoning, I would like to answer any question you might have.

                    Peace,
                    Edip

There is also the verse about the marks on their foreheads from sujood. Also the verse about the stars and trees yasjudaan.

This is working the problem backwards; i.e. keep searching/choose input until output is 34 or other predetermined value.

                                http//www.searchtruth.com/search.php?keyword=prostrate&chapter=&translator=5&search=1&start=0&records_display=50&search_word=exact

The word(s) "prostrate" appears 48 time(s) in 39 verse(s) in Quran in M. Khan Translation.

Less 3 in parenthesis leaves 45 times not 34.

Therefore, case can be made for 45 or other number with same logic depending which words/verses to include/exclude.
