    Peace,
    Respectfully.

Since we are eager to live ina Quranic society and we want to form a Quranic community, our next step is simple which city would we move into and can we afford to move there?

    Please vote now.
    It is not obligatory.
    Thanks for your cooperation.

    Peace.

I do not know UK, but pick the smallest one, prefferably the one with about 10-20 thousand population.

      Peace,
      Edip

        Peace Edip,

Aren't small town people somewhat more bigoted and racist? I knew Black girls from the UK who told me that you don't find too many tolerant people outside England's major cities like London and Birmingham.

And this idea of establishing a Quranic community is a bit creepy (not that there's something wrong with the splendiferous Quran). I think one should strive to make one's entire society accept the Quran as a constitution. I don't like the idea of a small group of people withdrawing from mainstream society to form their own little isolated society. It smacks of cultism.

that would be none of the above so edip im afraid. i think i would choose a place where there are not already alot of traditional muslims though..but that mightened be practical. never really wanted to live in GB but if there was a QA society there then maybe. only been once to london as a child so i dont really know what any of the places are like to live in. i chose glasgow because i imagine it as a smaller friendlier city but really i dont know. small college/university towns are good to live in because they attract alot of events and the like and generally there is more of a community feel and open-mindedness.

2856 You cannot guide whom you love. But it is God who guides whom He wills; and He is fully aware of those who receive the guidance.

We cannot guide mainstream society unless God wills it let alone the people we love. Furthermore the cities that Alen has listed are fairly mainstream so it would not be as though they are isolated. If they went to a remote island then that would be isolated

I would never want to live in the UK, especially London. I'm sure the standard of living in the UK is pretty high, but what I can't stand about the UK are all those invasive, vulgar, evil, abominable, oppressive, suppressive, demeaning and inhuman surveillance cameras. God in the Quran condemns the filth that is surveillance

O you who believe, you shall avoid any suspicion, for even a little bit of suspicion is sinful. You shall not spy on one another, nor shall you backbite one another; this is as abominable as eating the flesh of your dead brother. You certainly abhor this. You shall observe GOD. GOD is Redeemer, Most Merciful.

                      Hi all!

I dont really see the purpose of Quranic Community. Moreover, I thing this is as dangerous as any other sectarian community formed. I dont see my self as part of any community. I just want to understand more about the Quran, and the way of life we have to follow. Free-minds is enough for me for this purpose.

Don't fall in the same trap all others did.

                      Peace.

Sunshine and warmth don't seem great to this Pakistani who's enduring a Pakistani summer

If I'm going to be part of a Quranic community, it'll have to be somewhere in Scandanavia.

I'm in Scandinavia. Not too far from the capital in Norway, Oslo. Don't hesitate to get in touch.

                                As Salaam Alaikum,
I don't live in the U.K. so I am not sure of what city would be good or anyhting but I would like to say this

There are some of you all who are against the idea of establishing our own community where the majority of Muslims follow only the Quran. I have to really say that I disagree with this opinion. I know that no matter how modern I may be (and yes I say "modern" because in our modern way of thinking we particularly love the idea of "individualism&quot, I would really love a community like this.

I too want to go to the mosque one day and hear nothing but references to the Quran. I want to send my children to a Quran school too, where what they learn IS the Quran. I want to go to a "halaqa" and study the Quran myself. I want my children to grow up with a group of friends who are Muslim and believe only in the Quran. I want my children to marry Muslims who believe only in the Quran.

It is lonely being the only one in your town who believes in this. Really lonely. Constantly being told you are wrong, going to hell, and not even a Muslim! Having people cut their eyes at you and think that you are crazy.

And I am not foolish enough to believe that we would all agree on the same things, but still.

I would love to have this.

                                  peace all,

Surely rather than picking a random city/town/place, shouldn't you have some criteria that a place should fulfill, e.g. things which would be beneficial, practical and conducive to whatever aims such a community has? Or if someone does suggest a place, they list the pros/cons, so an informed decision can be made?

We need to think in a practical/realistic manner.

To clarify, I am only discussing ideas. I personally am not considering it, as I feel there are tons of things we can do even if we are spread about all over the world if only we work together. How many of us are working together?

ALthough i did not agree at first, i do agree now. From what you have written, there are many things in there i would like to see happen.

Anyway in my opinion various communities with various styles, cultures and traditions is a good thing providing that moral is valued greatly and that freedom is given. If we form a community, we represent us IMO. This could create a strong unity between us and be of great benefit to us.

I too would LOVE this Idea and would very likely strive to form such a community once i gain the neccassary knowledge and skills that i would need for such a cause.

                                          Peace and God bless
