From my arabic background, the verse clearly speaks about a story of someone, I believe was a prophet, who rejected God words after was revealed to him. Moreover it says that God did to him as he did to Satan, made him stay in earth forever. The arabic word "Aklad ela al-ard" "
means one thing, which is "Eterenal Life on Earth".peace

I don't speak arabic yet so I can't dispute, but there might not be just one meaning, just your interpretation. Eternal Life on Earth cannot be because the Heavens and Earth will be recreated.

The Rise of Imam Mahdi towards the Last Days
The hadith about the coming of the Mahdi to save mankind from the tribulations of the Dajjal or Anti-Christ towards the end of the world is not consistent with the teachings of the Quran. I agree with you.
As you know, any thing that is not in the Quran and talks about the unseen (e.g., Hadith) I do not take it.
But, this verse is puzzling me, and i'm trying to find an answer; thus, the story of the Antichrist came in my mind as a possible answer that I wanted to share with you.
So, what do you think about that verse?

That could refer to his/her teachings that his followers adhere till the day of resurrection. I believe that whoever is the person, he/she was/is given the signs/ayat then along the way he corrupted it. He/she will have followers till the day of resurrection.

I have been trying to find a historical person from scripture that fits the description of these verses.
In fact there are many stories and historical people that these verses could be speaking of. The fact that the verses do not specifically speak of WHO the person is, leaves me to believe that maybe we shouldn't try to MAKE a person fit.It says what it says.
And, we cannot insert any names or other information into that reading. Even guessing who it is speaking of.
The fact is that WHO the person is....is irrelevant. Why do I say that? Because if it WERE relevant the Quran would have indicated who it was.
The message of the verses is what is important.

The root "Kh Lam Dal" means to stick to something and be committed to it/ to stay. Expressions such as "khladaa ila al-noum/raa7a went in deep sleep, quiet rest" are common. The "eternal" meaning is an extension of this and not an original meaning of the verb. The verse gives the example of those who entrust this life and reject higher principles which guarantees them a better life to come.

I agree with verse 21-34
But Verse 7-176 does not say eternal life only, but a restricted eternal life. The eternal life is in Earth only, and restricted by the Earth life ?Hayat Eldonia?; which means that he will die at the end, along with Satan and every human on earth (some say even Angels).

Which means, most humans are under this verse; but what so special about this verse, when God told the prophet, in the beginning of the verse, "recite to them the story of...".I think there is a deeper meaning, which I do not understand fully yet. Thus, I think we should think more about this verse.

My mistake then, I thought you were looking for an actual person from any of the scriptures.
However, I spent a lot of enjoyable time trying to find someone to fit the description.

Wait a minute...you mean there is a devil out here in the earth with us? Is he red with horns and a tail? What does he eat and drink? Did he vote for Obama or Hillary? (assuming he is a US citizen).
If the word "eternally" is present , then it is only to emphasize how committed to the lower life this person...rather ANY PERSON who fits this example..is.

That is why him (singular) is used in beginning and not "them" (plural) to compare a human to a dog (singular).
Waotlu AAalayhim nabaa allathee ataynahu ayatina...
And read/recite on them whom We gave/brought him Our verses/evidences...Thus it's a parable and not about a single person living forever; although there will forever be rejectors.

So are you bothered that the number 504 725 born 11 19 1935 died 1 31 1990 fits 7175-176? Dont be bothered with what you call nonsense on arithmetic.
