I haven't been here in awhile and I did notice that the forum is changing in a way that is bad for the development of "finding the truth". Instead of striving to find the truth, many in here are simply mocking and rejecting everything. I sense arrogance inside the hearts of some of you. If we look back at the Quran, the first sin committed is by Iblis by being Arrogant! - thinking that he is better than Adam. From Arrogance comes Hatred. From Hatred comes Fitnah. And all this lead to ALL of them being thrown out of heaven... all because of Arrogance. So my fellow PM members, I hope you are willing to lower yourself to God, admit that you are weak, and in need of his help against those who are actually corrupting His religion. And also hope, that he chose you to be taught the TRUTH, since he chooses whom he wishes and teaches them the truth as he wishes.

I totally agree when it comes to the verses recited during prayer. They must fit the purpose of prayer verses that implores god, glorifying Him. But all around, I hear the Sunnis reciting whatever verses from the Quran that they know of without knowing the actual meaning.

For example, should a person utter these verses during prayer to Allah?

"I am God, there is no god but Me, so serve Me and hold the connection for My remembrance." (2014).

The above verse if recited during prayer is absurd and ridiculous! How can the person claim to be God, and asks God to perform solat to remember him?? &

Another example

"And they ask you about menstruation? Say "It is harmful, so retire yourselves sexually from the women during the menstruation, and do not approach them until they are cleansed. When they are cleansed, then you may approach them as God has commanded you." God loves the repenters and He loves the cleansed." (2222)

Why on earth would you talk about menstruation in front of God in solat/prayer?? It's ridiculous. I found it funny when people recite those kinds of verses. It makes me laugh to my knees. rotfl

Verses with "Say..." in them

I do recite verses with "Say" infront of them. But I REMOVE the word say, and just recite the words after it. For example

1141 Say "I seek refuge with the Lord of mankind,"
1142 "The King of mankind,"
1143 "The god of mankind,"
1144 "From the evil of the sneaking whisperer,"
1145 "Who whispers into the chests of mankind,"
1146 "From among the Jinn and mankind."

The surah starts from "Qul a'uzubirab binnas...". But I remove the "Qul" in front and just recite the words after it "A'uzubirab binnas..." ("I seek refuge with the Lord of mankind&quot. ! Those who use their brains and understand Arabic will remove the "Qul" from their recitation. Those who are stupid and just recite things like a parrot will include the "Qul" therefore asking God to say the verse instead. Astagfirullah!

So will the moderators consider this?

Let me resurrect this question from 3 years ago. Maybe we do not have experts back then. I would appreaciate if somebody could clarify this issue. I too am confused by 415 and 416

415 And those women who commit lewdness, you shall bring four witnesses over them from amongst you; if they bear witness, then you shall restrict them in the homes until death terminates their lives, or God makes for them a way out.

416 And the two men who commit it from amongst you, then you shall punish them. If they repent and amend, then leave them alone. God is Redeemer, Merciful.

These 2 verses are traditionally translated to refer to both lesbians (415) and gays (416).

Lets put them both into list form

Lesbian

• Needs 4 witnesses to testify against them.
• Punishment Be restricted in their own homes until their death.
• If they can find a way out (somehow) then leave them alone.(?)

Gays

• Do not need any witnesses to testify against them.
• Punishment Not specified
• If they repent and correct their ways, then leave them alone.

Anyone reading this the first time will say that the methods and punishment is not fair between gays and lesbians. Why are lesbians imprisoned till death but for gays, God doesn't even mention the punishment for them? Why do gays get the chance to repent and be left alone if they correct their ways, while lesbians are not given the same chance, they are just imprisoned? Probably some will say that this "unfairness" is compensated by the lesbians needing 4 witnesses first before they can be punished, but gays can be accused without witnesses.

I really want to understand this law that God has sent down. But I can't seem to understand it. Anyone care to clarify?

What I'm trying to say here is that verse 2115 cannot be made as an excuse not to find the TRUE focal point while performing Solat. This is because 2177 makes it clear that 2115 isn't about Solat. Therefore, Solat must have one fixed point to face to and one cannot just face in any direction. Again this is because in 2177, Solat is true piety, while facing either the east or the west (to mean everywhere) is not true piety.

Yeah, I don't consider Shariah Law as Quranic and the true Islamic Law either. I'm just stating that Malaysia have 2 seperate laws. If I'm ever in power, I'll ditch both, gradually replacing it with one universal law - the Quranic Law, applicable to all, regardless of race, and religion.

Yeah, that's what I thought - Men have ego. If the prophet is a female, imagine the prophet's husband. Men naturally can't stand having a women telling them what to do.

No no, not at all, the country will allow people from any religion and race to be its citizens. But everyone is subjected to the same law - the Quranic law. I am asking this question because no country has based their laws entirely on the Quran yet. Especially in Malaysia where we have Civil Law and Shariah Law used seperately on defferent matters. Just a thought really. Wanted your opinion if such a country exists.

...I believe that verse is talking about an even more powrful event. A time when a creature like the "squibbon" wldve evolved so far that it could be even in more direct contact with GOD though his brain. Then he would be able to inform us not so much developed in intelligence cretaures what the truth is and that would be close to DOJ just as the verse indicates. It all seems to fit perfectly. Found some pictures of the kaaba structure. Why can't I find any real photos taken of the inside of the kaaba. I want to see the 3 pillars and other stuffs in it. Plus, why is the door to the kaaba higher than ground. You need a stair to enter it. Why does it have/need a thick foundation on the bottom? Is there anything under it?

First we?d have to agree how to pray and which direction if any to turn to, where to go for hajj and what to do once we get there, the style of women?s clothing, to allow beer, if their really were miracles, average lifespan during Noah?s time; if he was with THEM 950 years they also lived that long and countless other stuff like whether to teach evolution or not.

To shorten that up

17/1 Glorified be the one who took His servant by night ... that We may show him of Our signs. Indeed, He is the Listener, the Seer.

So if God is glorifying Himself as the ONE who took His servant by night, why would He do it so that He "may show him of Our signs.? Who is this 'him' God is showing His sign to?

PLUS, if we look back at 20/77

20/77 And already We inspired to Moses ?Travel with My servants. So strike for them a path in the sea. You shall not fear being overtaken, nor be afraid.?

So here, God inspired Moses to go and travel by night with His (God) servants. Not God himself taking His servant on a journey. He asks Moses to go with God's servants, ie the people of Moses. So My Servant(first narrative), or His Servant(second narrative) refers to the people of Moses.

So if we look back at 17/1

17/1 Glorified be the one (somebody) who took His servant(Moses' people) by night from al-masjid al-haram to al-masjid al-aqsa whose surrounding We have blessed, that We may show him (the one who is glorified) of Our signs. Indeed, He is the Listener, the Seer.

So that 'somebody', the one being 'glorified' is the prophet Moses?

You sure it's 'shaan-e-Nazool'? I thought it's 'Asbabunnuzul'. Either way, it doesn't matter.
