I don't think you'd need verses to tell you about dating. Most of what occurs during dating is based on natural feelings, you know the hormones and such. If you like someone, and they like you, and you get along, then go for it, don't let superstitions restrict you on happiness. How far you are willing to go is up to you, so long as you are willing to take responsibility of what may occur. There is no such thing as someone having a divine authority on making your relationship legitimate. There is no mention of that, it's a man made system with a lot of cultural issues. All i know as far as quran is concerned is that there is a witness for the 'nikah' contract (3aqd al-nikah I believe), which by my understanding, is so that one does not have the motive to screw the other person over and get away with it. So, go out there, be happy, and love. Don't be like the others who worry about people and their expectations.

We will never get it though. There is no good in this world if there is no evil to compare it to. Why else do you think Allah has allowed corruption to spread like a disease? So we can distinguish between what is right and wrong and to testify which path we wish to take. Asking Allah to solve the problems of oppression is the easy, cheap way out of the crisis and I highly doubt Allah works like that. Rather, go and do it yourself, and ask Allah to strengthen your will, or conviction.. Whatever qualities are needed for such a thing. Doesn't make sense. When it says 'when the restricted months have passed (insalakh) it means consecutively, because that word means 'to skin', which you would do one layer, than the next, till you get to the inner most part of whatever you are skinning hence the term consecutively.

I reckon it could be that to help the orphans, marry their mothers off, one, two, three, four, but if you cannot be just and fund their families, then stick to just the one, or with those who you have contractual rights with so you can together with your partner to look after these people.

Your interpretation seems to be very logical, but I would like to confirm what you have said with undeniable proof. Not to say your view is useless, just so that I can verify information based on facts rather than listening to what I hear through conjecture. Now my question is would you happen to know the definition and root words of 'azwaj/azwajuka'? Does it mean spouse in regards to someone whom you have sexual relations with? Or is the word more vague, like 'partners' for example, in which the word partners is not limited to sexual interactions but rather could be partners in anything such as intellectual, or sporting buddies, book reading buddy, etc etc (if that made any sense).

I cannot remember the exact verse reference, but it said something along the lines of women offering themselves to the messenger, and him being the only one allowed to take them while it was not allowed for believers, it was only allowed for the prophet. The one about orphans isn't the verse I am referring to. And we can't marry more than one on the basis of treating them equally, because god tells us in the quran we cannot treat worm equally no matter how hard we try (again do not remember the reference)
