I sorta understand what you're saying. Innovate too wildly and you'll end up potentially acting upon a completely different message/aim altogether - but the Qur'an seems to be, for all intents and purposes, a relatively loose set of morals and aims. There is going to be variance in interpretation, heck there has been throughout all of history (not just with different sects but within those very sects too, it seems) How would one "submit" to the Qur'an without accidentally being "extra smart"? Or am I looking at this the completely wrong way?

one thing I have learn in life is that ALLAH likes submission instead of QUESTIONS.....and if he will wish he will give answers as well.

Yes, we all know that. We do respect prophet Muhammad (pbuh). What makes you think that if someone doesn?t say ?peace be upon him? after Muhammad?s (pbuh) name, then it is an implication of not respecting him enough?

Isn?t it God Himself who told us to call the prophets and messengers just by their names only?

Say "We believe in God, and in that which has been bestowed from on high upon us, and that which has been bestowed upon Abraham and Ishmael and Isaac and Jacob and, their descendants, and that which has been vouchsafed to Moses and Jesus; and that which has been vouchsafed to all the prophets by their Sustainer we make no distinction between any of them. And it is unto Him that we surrender ourselves." (2136)

Brother, let me tell you. There isn?t a single verse in the entire Qur?an where it says that we have to say ?salam? on Muhammad (pbuh). There is only one verse (3356) which you can quote just like the Sunnis and Shias who quote that verse to prove that we have to say ?salam/peace? on Muhammad (pbuh).

Here?s the verse

Yusuf Ali Allah and His angels send blessings on the Prophet O ye that believe! Send ye blessings on him, and salute him with all respect. (3356)

Wahiduddin Khan God and His angels bestow blessings on the Prophet. O believers, you also should invoke blessings on him and give him greetings of peace. (3356)

Transliteraion Inna Allaha wamala-ikatahu yusalloona AAala alnnabiyyi ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo salloo AAalayhi wasallimoo tasleeman

The Sunni translators have translated ?wasallimoo tasleeman? as ?salute him/give him peace?.

The same words have been used in 465.

Transliteration Fala warabbika la yu/minoona hatta yuhakkimooka feema shajara baynahum thumma la yajidoo fee anfusihim harajan mimma qadayta wayusallimoo tasleeman

Now look how the Sunni translators have translated the same words in 465.

Yusuf Ali But no, by the Lord, they can have no (real) Faith, until they make thee judge in all disputes between them, and find in their souls no resistance against Thy decisions, but accept them with the fullest conviction. (465)

Wahiduddin Khan By your Lord, they will not be true believers until they seek your arbitration in their disputes and find within themselves no doubt about what you decide and accept it wholeheartedly. (465)

So the correct translation of ?wasallimoo tasleeman? is ?to accept wholeheartedly/to give up in utter self-surrender/to submit with entire submission.?

Now in both 3356 and 465, Muhammad Asad, Progressive Muslims and Bijan Moeinian have translated the verses correctly.

Muhammad Asad Verily, God and His angels bless the Prophet O you who have attained to faith, bless him and give yourselves up in utter self-surrender! (3356)

Muhammad Asad But nay, by thy Sustainer! They do not believe unless they make thee a judge of all on which they disagree among themselves, and then find in their hearts no bar to an acceptance of thy decision and give themselves up in utter self-surrender. (465)

Progressive Muslims God and His Angels reach out to the prophet. O you who believe, you shall reach out to him, and yield completely. (3356)

Progressive Muslims No, by your Lord, they will not believe until they make you judge in what they dispute with each other, then they will not find in their souls any animosity for what you have decided, and they will yield completely. (465)

Bijan Moeinian God and His angels shower the Prophet (Mohammad) with their blessings. If you are a believer, you, too, should respect him and follow his orders to the point. (3365)

Bijan Moeinian Never indeed, by your Lord; they can never be a true believer until the submit their disputes to your judgment, do not resent it and accept it full heartedly. (465)

I do not say that we shouldn?t say ?peace be upon him? after the names of prophets and messengers. In fact, I, myself, say ?peace be upon him? after their names, but if someone doesn?t say that, then it does not mean that the person is not respecting the prophets and messengers.

Allah has NO nabi's (if that is what you meant with prophet), subhanaHu.
