Has anyone read up on Astroids? The effects it has ( like wiping out the dinosaures) and restarting evolution in a different direction, the threat of an astroid hitting the earth is pretty real, and the effects of a hit, are a smoke or clouds of ash enfolding the earth, blocking out sunlight, the mountains being levelled etc, there is a documentary by national geographic Channel, about Astroids, i will look for the title, and post it ..

ok all this businness about light, reminds me of Kabalah practice of worshipping light, and a form of meditation that involves standing or sitting in the sunlight to "feed" the soul..this thread is interesting..

i have just finished a post graduate course On Artificial Intelligence and Natural Sytems, and it is very true that some AI branches are loosely based on natural systems, namely Genetics ( Genetics programs and Genetic Algorithms) and neural Networks. Also some computer scientisits and researchers have been looking at how our natural defence system , to bacterial attacks from outside the body react, and try to copy the behaviour for computer systems thus reducing computing failiures doue to virus attacks.
The DNA proteins are being researched for thier capabilities as memory storage, a dna strand contains a "databank" of codes using protiens that are arranged in specific order, these prehaps can be used to store code, 010001 etc.
The research on creating a plasma based "chip" is very young however now we are talking about Artificial Life..which is a offshoot of AI.
So the times ahead are going to be interseting, AI is already very widespread but people dont realise it because most of the AI is embedded in Other systems..eg traffic light systems..weather prediction..not to mention the Internet!

i love this forum, and for a long time thought i wias the only one who had come o the conclusion of following the Quran only, and finding out the weaknesses in hadiths.

My husband has tried to discuss issues with hadiths, with sunni muslims..in the end i had to advise him to keep quiet..or he will end up shot!! Ok we live in the UK ..but if we were living in the middle east, i can imagine mobs gathering outside our home. It is so sad that this is the situation of islamic states, thank you brother David for summing up the way it is.. , and putting a knowing smile on our faces..we are not the only ones facing adversity!!
