    Slm Friends from Free-Minds,

This is my story.I was born out of wedlock in Singapore.Where I come from ,many teenagers sometimes get themsleves into a situation whereby many babies will be placed in childcare or nursery homes as soon as they are born or if they the infants are unfortunate they would end up in Dustbins(garbage bins),toilet bowls or simply left at some inconspicuos corners of the streets at the mercy of the environment icluding prowling strays. My original parents must have been Chinese but I was adopted and raised by a Malay family in a Muslim home(Mazhab Shafiee).
My adopted parents showed love towards me initially, being the eldest of two other siblings from them, but eversince my younger sisters were born by the fertilisation technique(Invetro Fertilisation) they did not bother to give me any more attention.I became the scapegoat and the destination of many frustrations and unhappiness all of them encountered in the course of their daily lives.I was never given sufficient pocket money and the only thing I could buy from the canteen would be a glass of drink.Being fortunate that I was gifted with the talent of excelling in my studies, my friends in school would always invite me to join them during the break where most of them were digging into heaps of food for which I could only salivate and swallow whats in my mouth to have the sense of fullness. In Singapore scholarships are called Bursaries in the lower levels, and I will get all kinds of bursaries from school's,muslim organisation (mendaki), and also from the mayor of my district.I know each year I would get an amount of $3000 Singapore dollars for my effort. So I figured that if I were to divide it by 10 months of total school time in a year then I would be able to obtain about $10 dollars each day for my school expenses. As naive as I am till today that part about my pocket money was wishful thinking because they flaunted it.There were times when my friends would seek for me and they would find me far way hiding in some bushes so as not to expose my cravings for the food they bring.

On the weekends ,being the eldest child it would be my duty to chaperoned my two step sisters to the Madrasah called Madrasah Jamiyah like what a butler should do.I tried to have a brotherly affection for my sisters but needless to say my concerns were not reciprocated. They had been taught I was of a totally different genetic breed.I was a discarded child picked up by their parents. It was no wonder whenever I was caned for whatever reasons my adopted parents can come up with, my two sisters would continue to play around the house oblivious to the cries and agonies of pain I experienced. If a serial rapist in Singapore had scars only on their buttocks which can easily be hidden when one is descently dressed ,for me no matter how I wear my clothes the scars of cane marks would be obvious. It is not as if I was caned everyday but the canings became very methodical that as soon as the few lines heals the next new lines will be marked. The two sisters of mine were also encourage to be part of this conspiracy of which i forgave them.If ever I was to be counselled in school or the educational investigators should they suspect abuse or foul play I would have to remain as dumb as a mute in order to secure myself a bearable home to live in.You would be surprise as to how much a boy can endure. If I had been in the special forces like in America I would most likely be awarded with a congressional Medal of honour.Fat hope!

One fine day in the polytechnique(Institute of Technology) for which I obtained scholarship to study, I met a girl who is very interested in me and she is a catholic. After a few months of doing projects and discussing our studies she wanted to meet my family. I told her it was not appropriate as I lived with my step parents as my real parents I could not locate.I could not provide her with logical excuses for her persistence to meet them so I relented and she came home with me one saturday.I was so embarass when my step mother opened the door only to let me in and advised the girl to leave as it is not proper for her to be with a boy.She slam the door behind her leaving my poor friend desolated outside. This was what I was trying to tell her before but she had to see it for herself I thought. The following day when I tried to confront her to make an apology for the incident, the previous day,she brisked past me as though we never knew each other.I took the courage and proceeded to the men's toilet and I cried like a baby in one of the booths. After I overcame my display of emotions I went to class.

It was not long, before I graduated with distinction and being one of the best there I was already shortlisted by many companies who wished to engage my service.I took a job that required posting to Dubay(United Arab Emirates) and happily I left to go overseas.I wasn't the only happy person but my adopted family were so happy" like good riddance sucka" that they could now live as a wholsome family so they insinuated.I learned to look at life differently in Dubay meeting people from India,Pakistan,Phillipines,Malaysia and that is where I learned about Rashad Khalifa and Ahmed deedat. Now that I am back in Singapore ,not only are my real parents missing,my adopted family has also moved leaving me behind as alone as I was discarded the first time.

    Thnak you GOD.

    Peace idea
