The Quran never telling about rituism, but law (ad deen). The reveals of Allah's verses shall be treated as Allah reveals law to men to manage their life according to Allah's rules instead of men's rules, nothing else.

Peace be upon you MQ and all, Thanks for the critisism on my brainstorming. Yes, I agree it is a social context, but in order for men to recieve the same warning, it must be taken as symbolic. I will ask you to think about why all messengers are Masculine. Certainly females deliver truth to others, so we know that the female can be a messenger too. But it is symbolic of the "yin and yng" of life. In the same manner, the female is used in this context to speak about incorrect behavior. It addresses the female side of all humans, the receptive side. It is the masculine side of ALL humans that is symbolized as the messenger side, and the female is the recieving side. please give me clarification on the gender of verse 4/16 so I can check my position So it is the Human that must be confined to the systems(buyoot) until they are corrected.

Salam darcus, Yes, it makes me feel good. I don't think I use it to remember staying on the path...actually with each of my actions i wonder if they were the right thing to do - which is another way of remembering allah. And when i find i was wrong i try to amend myself. This is a "jihad" which actually never ends. But still, may be you're right. May be it helps remembering allah even more. Even though i do "traditional salat" since nearly 20 years, i just started dikhr a few month ago after discovering it with a sufi congregation (which i am not a member of, by the way). The recitation of the gods names just touched me in a special way and this is what made me start - i must say without really thinking about eventual effects - this is why i opened the topic, to know what other people think about the notion of dikhr.
