This situation can be applied to anything in life but in my case it is marriage.
If something seems like a blessing from God that he has given you something special (ie the person I like, who is also my bestest friend in the whole wide world) and you want to turn it into something beautiful (ie get married and start a family) but it never seems to work out as planned (ie financial problems) and you pray to God everyday to help you out but nothing changes, how would you know if...

a) it isn't meant to be, so give up right now
b) it will happen at the right time which isn't now, so be patient
c) anything is possible if you work hard to get it, so work hard

I really like this person a lot, we have knows each other for years and both our families know... everything seems right about it and about us getting married. I feel that it was a blessing from God who has let us meet one another and make each other happy. I have been praying to God to help us for so long but nothing has changed

only if it's meant to be will it happen
so be patient and work on it and don't lose hope

Nushuz means total rebellion and disregard of the husband. Nushuz doesn't come immediately but in stages.

If you fear your wife is going to a state of nushuz, you must act, otherwise, she will disregard you completely ie. Nushuz.

To avoid nushuz, doing the three steps including beating, the final and corporeal punishment, is enough to avoid nushuz.

the verses you cite above do not talk about meat specifically. you think they do because that is the general interpretation given.

this is why in yussef ali's translation the word meat is in brackets it is not in the arabic text, it is just an understanding.

The verse in the origional email has nothing to do with Circumcision and is a classic example of worst interpretation you can ever see by anyone. It talks about piercing or tattooos etc. like on ear or nose in common pakistani culture and any where your skin, where it can hold a new hole, in western culture. Other than that all kind of surgeries are allowed, no one is changing the DNA of God's creation or listening to devil here. Otherwise if you want to make such a wrong sense out of that verse then stop cutting nails, hairs or taking any surgery which will take any faulty part out of your God's created perfect body.

The underived meaning of shahr appears to be "announce/make public". From this, v have the new moon, which is the announcing of the moon after the moonless night. Also, since the new moon marks the the completion of a cycle, "shahr" takes the meaning of a month, which is its common application in arabic.

It seem you don't understand the difference between aggression and punishment. The verse doesn't say go and hit your wife because you can D. It is a punishment for the woman for her "nushuz" IF she didn't take heed for the first 2 actions. But why is a wife required to obey her husband you ask?! Because he paid her to pass his seed!! Did you know that marriage we know today is just a bogus fairytale from outer space. The man actually 'rents' the woman to pass his seed. This is called 'agr' or wage. You could aslo rent a woman to breastfeed your child. The only difference between prostitution and marriage is the waiting period the woman should wait untill she can marry another man so the seeds dont get intermixed which could be the real definition of Zina. Thats why God says that Zina is a bad path because it creates trouble later on.

Yes Johnny, you should really get the difference between aggression and punishment as well as prostitution and marriage !
When a man hits a woman that is not his wife its aggression, if he hits the woman paid for receiving his seed (in this case wife not prostitute, please note the difference!) it can only be punishment...
Funny thing is the prostitute also receives his seed but is paid only for his satisfaction

rami, if you searched a little on this forum, you would have seen that other interpretations of the "punishments" are possible even though far from being universaly accepted

be it for theft or problems between couples, they usually are based on equity , which i consider as more godly than violence
