  • Minor Shirk: Hadith? or does it have Quranic origins?
    F fabrinoo

I know it is hadith, but just cause this is shirk related, it does somewhat scare me to which is why I ask of you guys what is your opinion? Should I disregard this as hadith and not worry? or does this have some Quranic value?

    Dear Brother,
Allah, Forgive me, He did not sent a riddle but out of His mercy provided us a book which explained itself in detail and also perfect, protected and does not required any other source for its explanation. (6114) Say "Shall I seek for judge other than Allah? ?(example of a one kind of Shirk)- when He it is Who hath sent unto you the Book, explained in detail." They know full well, to whom We have given the Book, that it hath been sent down from thy Lord in truth. Never be then of those who doubt. Mover our He has made it (Al-Quran) easy to understand for those who reflect.( 5417) For those who want to take advice, we have made this Quran easy to understand. Is there anyone, who will reflect on it and take advice?

It is ridiculous idea that there is Minor Shirk or Major Shirk. Shirk is a crime If, hold by someone till death, deserve no forgiveness from Allah (swt). However we may typify Shirk to understand it

    1. To think that anyone shares the forces and authority reserved for God alone is?shirk?. (1316, 1711, 11826, 18110 and many other verses)

    2. To consider oneself subservient or obedient and fearing any other force or human as god beside God or is bowed before him is ?shirk?.(2455, 1826)

    3. To accept the supremacy of anyone or anything except the Qur?an is ?shirk? and to follow any law excepting this law is shirk. (1699-100)

    4. Deen formulates unity within the ummah (the Believers of God) and to be divided into sects is ?shirk?.3031

    5. One God; one code of life given by Him; its followers are one ummat; one system for this ummat this is what Oneness is anything besides it is ?shirk?. (3031)

    6. Negation of God?s absoluteness is Shirk

    7. Acceptance of God?s son is Shirk.

One who make his/her ego and the religious leaders his/her God and follow them instead of the Laws of God commit Shirk.

Basting means to speak with excessive pride about one?s own possession or accomplishment. It is certainly hinders one?s own progress in his life. It is a weakness not a Shirk therefore, believing that ?boasting? is a Shirk in itself is a Shirk. Of course, Allah does not like boasters but such a minor sin deserves Allah?s forgiveness and is eliminated by reframing from (Kabair) major sins. Please hold your foot down and do not harbor any doubt or let the fear creep in you because of the fabricated lies attributed to the prophet. Thus, this assertion has no Quranic value at all.

    Peace
We could get a rough draft of about 500 roots within a year, GW.

I can manage all the website stuff, all I need is participants to post the roots they look up. Once we get a rough draft, we can combine lexicons and add to the meanings if they are covered better in some etc.

if our objective is only to use Arabic dictionaries to understand Quran and not Arabic language in general than, I recomend Mr.GA.Pervaiz's Lughat ul Quran. It is in Urdu language but I am trying to translate it for my brothers and sisters belong to Quran Alone. Please visit my blog rmakhtar.blogspot.com where I have translated the words "DUA'A" "SUBER" and "SHUKAR". I intend to translate further, Inshallah.

  • Can we pray for our christian friends?
    F fabrinoo

Now I really feel Like praying to God so that he would guide her in life but am not sure what would Quran say to that. I know that you are not supose to pray for polytheists and Catholics do have their saint thing that they are big on.

So, yeah can we pray for Catholics and other Christians, also can we pray for atheists who have helped us in life? Pray to God to guide them to himself.

    Dear Brother

You are justifiably in confusion because most of the Muslims including those who have strong conviction that "Quran" is an only source for the knowledge of Deen e Islam. obviously it is very difficult to break the shackles around our necks by the traditions and sometime we perceive un-intentionally according to the traditions ( Islamic History, Biography of Prophet and Hadith). Therefore a misconception prevail among Muslims.

I understand that your question is actual not for Dua but for (Prayer, (you wish that the person who helped you in every manner must be rewarded by Allah Subhanna) The word Al-Dua'a ( you called prayer) is defined as under

    Definition
Da?a also spelled as ?Dua? meaning ?to call someone?. Hu?a minni dawatar rajul convey ?he is at distance where a man?s voice can reach him; he is at a calling distance. (Taj) ?Ibn- e- Faaris? said its basic meanings are ?to incline someone towards oneself eloquently by speech or conversation?. Dayahu alal ameer, means he took him to ameer (leader); in this context ?dayi ?is not only one who calls but also someone who persuade you to someone else (for example to an ideology); or call someone.

iddia?oo,(yad- da-oon) means ?to wish or desire? (Taj ul Urus); ?to call on someone, repeatedly?.(672 Tadau alaih, means ?they gathered against him?. tada?a alaihal aduwu min kulli jaa?nib, means ?the enemy attacked him from all sides?. tadaa?atilhaitaan means ?walls fall down one by one?.

    Such things, which entice and excite emotions of human called, ad dawa-ee (Muheet) (these meanings should be kept in mind because they throw light on the meaning of the word dua ? Call? ). Wad-oo shohada?akum 223, means ?call those who will help you?. in Surah Kahaf, nadao and da?a have been used as synonym;

  • An ignorant question
    F fabrinoo

To those who speak Arabic this may seem like an ignorant question but meh..I'll ask anyway. In the Quran Reformist Translation Edip Yuksel argues that the Quran verses stating that wife beating is Ok were actually mistranslated. Now the Quran also states that people who engage in premarital sex should be whipped. Now the burden of proof for this is very high and it's better than the death penalty advocated in the Bible. Still, it's something that I'm uncomfortable. It occured to me that if you can argue that the 'beating' verse has multiple meanings why can't you argue that the 'whipping' verse also have multiple meanings?

    Dear Brother
    Peace
(One difference between man and animal is that the latter has no sense of chastity. The protection of chastity is essential for the development and growth of both, the individual and the nation. Islamic society lays emphasis on protection of chastity and in this regard the first commandment is) ?Flog each of the Zani man and woman with one hundred lashes. Let no compassion for them deter you from carrying out the Law of Allah; if you truly believe in Allah and the Day of Judgement.? (If you have faith in the fact that these are the Divine Laws and that you will surely have to face the consequences, either in this world or in the hereafter) Openly enforce this punishment in the presence of a group of Momineen.

    Questions/Comments on the Quran

  • The Original purpose of our creation?
    F fabrinoo

We must use our energy efficiency maximally for ALLAH Being a poor slave to ALLAH is not the same thing as being a rich slave to ALLAH. If I spend my 2500 calories a day to earn 10 billion, then I give you and nine others a billion each and you then use that billion to do the same and give it to the poor, we will be rich in good deeds in no time.

    Dear Brother
    peace
The maximization of efficiency can undoubtedly made you a wealthy and strong person and you will be able to help the billion of poor. Kindly think over it. Why people around you are poor while you are maximizing your efficiency in the way of Allah Subhana.Don't you think it is a self deception. This is a way, how religious leaders of all the time advise the maximizers to accumulate wealth, be rich and strong, to help poor so that you must be admitted to paradise. These are are capitalistic thoughts.

    Questions/Comments on the Quran

  • My PERSONAL conclusions about salaat (contact prayer)
    F fabrinoo

    @ Black Stone

So, to answer this inquiry, I do not ritually place my head on the ground - I fall mentally 'down' to prostration, humbleness, abasement, etc. whenever I read the Qur'an (and often moved to tears of humility), whenever I dwell on God or God's signs, etc.

    Dear Brother
    Peace!
Kindly reflect,re-think on the following submission and follow what Allah Commanded to us.

Man manifests his emotions by physical motions and these are entirely reflex movements
Sadness, anger, happiness, surprise, adamancy, yes and no are all emotions which are displayed by physical motions of the body automatically
It is similar with the emotions of respect and obedience for showing respect, a man?s head bows automatically the head is bowed in obedience although the noble Qur?an keeps the veracity and spirit of the acts , and not the forms itself, it does not prevent the forms where the motions signify some act provided that the form itself is not thought to be everything the forms of sajdah etc that are before us in the salaat, are also for this purpose it is also obvious that when these movements that display some emotion are collective then they must also be uniform otherwise there would seem to be disharmony and chaos to keep discipline in the display of emotions of respect and obedience and faithfulness is in itself a very big discipline of self this then is the strong manifest of forms of acceptance and obedience which the Qur?an describes as a necessary part of the meetings and consultation of the group of Momineen ( we also begin our public meetings with recitations from the holy Qur?an, although this is done only ceremoniously) wallazzeenas tajabu lirabbihim wa aqamus salaata wa amruhum shoora bainuhum in view of the importance of these congregations, the Qur?an has called them kitaban mauqoota 4103 particularly fixed duty and the second meaning is a duty which is discharged timely the timeliness for the congregations is essential as such the
ayat of Surah Juma which has appeared before, says that when the call for this congregation is given then leave aside all business and come immediately to it and until it has been complete do not attend to any other business let it not be that your Ameer (head) is presenting important affairs or expostulating their importance and you are engaged in business (wa tarakooka qa-ima)

The life of the momineen is spent in obedience of God?s laws; morning , day and night, but the fixation of timings for congregations is necessary whether these congregations are usually held as a matter of routine or during emergency periods the human mind, being superstitious at that time, while believing other things to be ?lucky? or ?unlucky? had also attributed these qualities to the times during the day and night like such and such should be done at time the sun is rising for it to be extra lucky and not to do anything at sunset because that time was nahas or unlucky! Or nothing should be done at twilight the Qur?an, while demolishing other beliefs about things being lucky or unlucky has also shown by setting timings for prayer during night and day shown that no time is lucky or unlucky as far as the prayer congregations are concerned aqimis salaata lidulukas shamsa ila ghasaqil laili wa qur?anal fajr?.. 1787 and from ?dulukas shams? i.e. the entire time from morning to evening, you can establish salaat till the darkness of the night especially when the sun rises, it is overhead or reaches the middle of the day, and when the sun begins to set and actually sets by pointing to these timings it intended to end the superstitions that so and so time was lucky or so and so time was unlucky wa aqimis salaata tarafin nahari wa zulfin minas sabeel 11114 establish salaat at both ends of the day and parts of the night. These timings have been mentioned especially with the word salaat but in order to establish Deen and the struggle of the group of momineen , all times of the day and night have been mentioned see 3190, 20130, 5039 and 5249. In surah Noor, the salaat of fajr and ishaa have been mentioned where it is said that your servants should ask your permission before coming in at times of privacy i.e. min qablis salaatil fajr wa heena tazaoona siyabakum minaz zahirati wa min ba?di salaatil ishaa 2458 before the morning prayer (fajr) or early morning, and when you take off your shirts in the afternoon (due to the heat and want to rest- as is done throughout (Arabia)b and after the salaat of ishaa (i.e. at night) this shows that during the Prophet pbuh?s period at least prayer or salaat for two times were fixed i.e. why the Qur?an has mentioned them by name.

This word ?Qurbani? does not exist in Quran. It?s imperative to relate the verses of Quran here, which will crystallize and bring us to the actual status of this belief and inshallah, remove the misconception of animal sacrifice.
    2196

    Daryabadi
And fulfill the pilgrimage and 'Umra for Allah. And if ye be besieged, offer whatsoever offering be easy, and shave not your heads, until the offering reacheth its destination. Then whosoever of you sick or hath hurt in his head, for him is a ransom by fasting or alms or a rite. Then when ye are secure, whosoever combinoth 'Umra with the pilgrimage, for him is whatsoever offering be easy. And whosoever cannot afford then for him is a fast of three days during the pilgrimage and of seven when ye return these are ten days complete. That is for him whose family dwells not near the Sacred Mosque. And fear Allah, and know that verily Allah is severe in chastising.
    Sahih International
And complete the Hajj and 'umrah for Allah. But if you are prevented, then what can be obtained with ease of sacrificial animals. And do not shave your heads until the sacrificial animal has reached its place of slaughter. And whoever among you is ill or has an ailment of the head a ransom of fasting or charity or sacrifice. And when you are secure, then whoever performs 'umrah followed by Hajj what can be obtained with ease of sacrificial animals. And whoever cannot find - then a fast of three days during Hajj and of seven when you have returned . Those are ten complete . This is for those whose family is not in the area of al-Masjid al-Haram. And fear Allah and know that Allah is severe in penalty. Please note; this sacrifice is an atonement if, not observed than a severe penalty is destined.

Please compare the above translations from Traditionalists how they assert meaning of the highlighted Arabic words in the verse. Please note that one is using the word sacrificial animal and the other avoiding it. Therefore, it is imperative to find out meanings of Arabic words and used in the text from classic Arabic lexicon.
    (Heh, daal, yeh)
Huda basically means to be prominent and light up to be in the forefront and to lead the others the day is called huda haadiyah is the raised rock which can be seen from afar at sea *** the Qur?an says afalam yahdi lahum 20128 was is it not made evident, clear and evident to them Ibn Faaris says it has two basic meanings a 1) to go ahead in order to show the way and 2) to send a gift.
    (Nuun, Siin, Kaf )
Nasakas saub he washed the cloth and thus cleaned it the Muheet says the real meaning of this word is to wash and make clean all other meanings are relevant to it ** ardun naasika green land on which it has rained recently*.This basic meaning leads to its meaning to right or correct some matter nasakas sabakha means he corrected the salinity of the soil asaka ila tariqatin jameelah he adopted a better way and stuck to it*.

Please compare, how the word NUSAK is translated?. This is an example of addition, fabrication and conjecture from traditional Muslims.

Where is the connotation of sacrifice? It is just KILLING, Gift and ATTONMENT. Only the killing of animal cannot be considered ?Animal Sacrifice?
    Translation from Traditional Muslims

    Shakir
O you who believe! do not kill game while you are on pilgrimage, and whoever among you shall kill it intentionally, the compensation (of it) is the like of what he killed, from the cattle, as two just persons among you shall judge, as an offering to be brought to the Kaaba or the expiation (of it) is the feeding of the poor or the equivalent of it in fasting, that he may taste the unwholesome result of his deed; Allah has pardoned what is gone by; and whoever returns (to it), Allah will inflict retribution on him; and Allah is Mighty, Lord of Retribution.
    Sahih International
O you who have believed, do not kill game while you are in the state of ihram. And whoever of you kills it intentionally - the penalty is an equivalent from sacrificial animals to what he killed, as judged by two just men among you as an offering delivered to the Ka'bah, or an expiation the feeding of needy people or the equivalent of that in fasting, that he may taste the consequence of his deed. Allah has pardoned what is past; but whoever returns , then Allah will take retribution from him. And Allah is Exalted in Might and Owner of Retribution.

Please find out if there is any word for ?Sacrifice?? No, but wherever they find the word ?Animal? they try hard to relate this with Animal sacrifice; look

    Sahih International

    Yusuf Ali
"That they may witness the benefits (provided) for them, and celebrate the name of Allah, through the Days appointed, over the cattle which He has provided for them (for sacrifice) then eat ye thereof and feed the distressed ones in wan
    Wahiduddin Khan
so that they may witness its benefit for them and, on the appointed days may utter the name of God over the cattle He has provided for them. Then eat their flesh, and feed the distressed and the needy

Please note, why Mr.Wahiduddin is not trying to convey the sense of Animal Sacrifice here?
    2234

    Wahiduddin Khan
For every people We have appointed rites of sacrifice, so that they may pronounce the name of God over the cattle which He has provided for them. Your God is One God; surrender yourselves to Him; and give good news to the humble.
    Sahih International
And for all religion We have appointed a rite that they may mention the name of Allah over what He has provided for them of animals. For your god is one God, so to Him submit. And, , give good tidings to the humble

    2236

    Translation
    Sahih International
And the camels and cattle We have appointed for you as among the symbols of Allah; for you therein is good. So mention the name of Allah upon them when lined up ; and when they are on their sides, then eat from them and feed the needy and the beggar. Thus have We subjected them to you that you may be grateful.
    Maududi
We have appointed sacrificial camels among the symbols of (devotion to) Allah. There is much good in them for you. So make them stand (at the time of sacrifice) and pronounce the name of Allah over them, and when they fall down on their sides (after they are slaughtered), eat and also feed them who do not ask and those who ask. Thus have We subjected these animals that you may give thanks.

The camels (which are slaughtered during this congregation for the purpose mentioned above) are also among the symbols of the Divine Order. In fact anything which contributes in any way towards establishing or strengthening the Divine System is counted among such symbols. (But this does not mean that these cattle become sacred for you.) They are for your use. So line them up and slaughter them after proclaiming the name of Allah; and when they fall to the ground on any of their sides, eat their flesh and feed the needy as well as those who are in distress. It is for this purpose that we have made animals subservient to your needs, so that you (should have no worry about your food and) can pay full attention to your high goal so that you may achieve fruitful results.

    2237

    Maududi
Neither their flesh reaches Allah nor their blood; it is your piety that reaches Him. He has subjected these animals (to you) that you may magnify Allah for the guidance He has bestowed upon you. Give glad tidings, (O Prophet), to those who do good.
    Pickthall
Their flesh and their food reach not Allah, but the devotion from you reacheth Him. Thus have We made them subject unto you that ye may magnify Allah that He hath guided you. And give good tidings (O Muhammad) to the good.

(It is being reiterated that these cattle are essentially to meet your requirements; and that this is the reason for slaughtering them on this occasion.) It is not their blood or flesh which reaches Allah; what matters unto Him is how you guard His Laws (Taqwa). He has made the cattle subservient to you so that you (become free of your physical needs and) can wholeheartedly make efforts to ensure that the Code of Law ordained by Allah for your guidance, attains supremacy over all man-made laws (2185). And to the people, who lead balanced and graceful lives according to the Divine Laws, give glad tidings of the very pleasant outcomes of their deeds.

    Daryabadi
O Ye shall not attain unto virtue until ye expend of that which ye love; and whatsoever ye expend, verily Allah Is thereof Knower.
In 2237 statement ?Neither their flesh reaches Allah nor their blood? means, do not consider the slaughtering an act of and you should not consider these animals sacred, these are just for you and the despondent around you for eating but ?it is your piety that reaches Him? It is an act of your kindness towards human race which bring virtue to you. Above mentioned verse 392 is clarifying it.

    Daryabadi
Thus it is. And whosoever respecteth the rites of Allah, and then verily it is from piety of the hearts.
    Daryabadi
For you in them are benefits for a term appointed, and thereafter the destination is toward the ancient House.

The Momineen, on the basis of their Eiman and positive constructive deeds (rites of slaughtering animals for needy and all other rites of Hujj are good deeds but not a condition or obligation for Hujj), shall abide in a society that is evergreen.

In Verse #2 of Sura Alkusar meaning the word has always been taken as ?Sacrifice?. but it is not correct. Let us try to reach to its correct meanings through renowned Arabic dictionary Taj-ul-Urus by Murtaza-az-Zabidi (D 1205) and other lexicons.
Root of this word is Nuun, hah, rah
Nahr us sadr the upper part of the chest the part of the chest where a garland is worn nahral ba-eera yanharahu nahra he hit the spear on the spot adjacent to the chest where the throat begins camels are slaughtered in this way.

Ibn Faaris, says that this root has several meanings it also means the chest as well as to split the chest open.
but nahara means to dominate something very well to obtain something very well to comprehend some matter thoroughly ( Zamukhshary) an-nehru; wan nehr means expert; clever; experienced one who comprehends everything and oversees everything and one who acts upon something very firmly(Muheet) Thus, wanhar in1082 means to act firmly on something after understanding all its aspects; after dominating it in every way.

However, Quran mentions that there was a tradition of ?Burnt Sacrifice? __ in previous nations; Translation There are those who say. Verily God hath covenanted with us that we should believe not in an apostle until he brings unto us a sacrifice which a fire shall devour.

Thus, in respect of Muslim ummah and in the context of Eid-ul- Azha there is no command from Allah (in Quran) exits for ANIMAL SACRIFICE. How can we please Allah and expect a reward from him when it is not a requirement from him? It will rather displease and annoy Allah, since we are following shurakaa others

    Myth Regarding Animal Sacrifice
It is very painful for me to comment on the words being considered by billions ?The words of God?. However, the subject forces me to expose the truth by following the command of Allah And do not pursue that of which you have no knowledge. Indeed, the hearing, the sight and the heart - about those entire will be questioned.
    exposition
1736) you should not take a stand (regarding anything) where you have no personal knowledge (Use all means of inquiry and then come to a conclusion - Allah has given you all the faculties for this purpose.) Mind it, the ear and the eye and the heart - all of them shall have to answer in regard to the question whether personal inquiry was made about the concerned matters.

    Genesis

    Abraham Commanded to Offer Isaac
1 And it came to pass after these things that God did tempt Abraham, and said unto him, Abraham and he said, Behold, here I am.
2 And he said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Mori'ah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of.
12 And he said, Lay not thine hand upon the lad, neither do thou anything unto him for now I know that thou fearest God, seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only son, from me.
13 And Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and behold behind him a ram caught in a thicket by his horns and Abraham went and took the ram(a mail sheep), and offered him up for a burnt offering in the stead of his son. Heb. 11.17-19
17 That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies.
By holding firmly Quranic injunctions and applying the bestowed faculties from Allah to understand the subject in question, we figured out that Allah can never persuade His messenger and a friend ?Abraham? to slaughter his son for a burnt sacrifice. Allah commanded do not kill an innocent human unjustifiably as such killing is accredited to kill the whole Humanity. (532) Translation Sahih International And the word of your Lord has been fulfilled in truth and in justice. None can alter His words and He is the Hearing, the Knowing. . The verse 2212 of the book of Genesis is also a sufficient evident to this commandment either.

Do we think that a ram (mail sheep) was a sufficient ransom for a test where life of a son was at stake by his father? If we ponder a little and feel that it was a firmness of belief, height of emotional control, manifestation of massive power against the most ardent enemy of humans? The Hinderer,(Devil)?and colossal show of gigantic power of God consciousness and steadfastness . How can we accept Allah?s ransom ?a ram? against such a high character of Abraham? Furthermore multiplicity of descendents is not a blessing unless it contains people of very high character. Therefore, we are force to believe that this biblical narration is a distortion.
It is very unfortunate that our religious leaders of traditional Islam accepted this biblical distortion and named it? animal sacrifice? ? Sunnat e-Ibrahimi. Let us see how Quran enlighten us in this regard.

    Sura Al-Saffat
    37

    English Translation from Sahih International

And when he reached with him exertion, he said, "O my son, indeed I have seen in a dream that I sacrifice you, so see what you think." He said, "O my father, do as you are commanded. You will find me, if Allah wills, of the steadfast."
this word has been translated as ?sacrifice? while its actual meaning is? Slaughter?. This is how traditional translators distort Quranic text to support the Hadith.
There is no sense of Allah?s temptation to Abraham to scarify or slaughter his son but it was a dream, dreams which, people of that status comprehend, conveyed to his son. The son, having the same standard of his character replied He said, "O my father, do as you are commanded. Thus, there was no ?temptation? and no ?sacrifice?.

And when they had both submitted and he put him down upon his forehead,

We called to him, "O Abraham,

You have fulfilled the vision." Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good.

Indeed, this was the clear trial.

And We ransomed him with a great sacrifice, Here again the translator distort the meaning of (slaughtering)
Please note that how God ransom Abraham in Genesis 2213 through Ram ( male Sheep). Is it not belittling God who rewarded Abraham with a goat/ram? Let us have a look how Allah ransoms this act of Abraham

And We left for him among later generations
As far as the son(Ishmail) is concerned, We saved him for a far greater and tremendous slaughtering. (This great slaughtering refers to the fact that instead of keeping his leadership confined to Syria, We wanted him to become the custodian of Our House Kaaba, which was located in the far off barren land of Arabia and which had to become the center and gathering place of all those the world over, who believed in the unity of God.

    "Peace upon Abraham."
The great slaughtering which Abraham wanted to give would have remained confined to his son (Ishmail); but the ?sacrifice? for which We saved him (that is the custodianship of the Kaaba) would continue for posterity (even after Ishmail)

Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good.

This is how Allah reward or ransom the great slaughtering. Look how these rewards goes on
Allah had also given him the good news of (his second son) ISAAC NABI who was amongst the saliheen. All Nabi and Rasools belong to progeny of Abraham. So for so Muhammad pbuh the last Nabi of Allah belongs to Abraham as confirmed by Genealogy.
Allah showered his blessings on Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, , and all other Messengers amongst the descendents of his sons and saved them and their nations from awesome calamities.

    Conclusion

    1. Animal Sacrifice is not a Quranic Concept.
    2. It is derived from Bible and propagates by traditional Islamic scholars and jurists, through falsifications attributed, to our beloved apostil /messenger of Allah (Muhammad pbuh).
    3. It is neither attached nor obligatory with pilgrimage.
    4. Slaughtering of animals won?t make them holy, these are for eating during Hujj by Hajies( Rich and poor together)
    5. These animals are symbols like other Symbols like ?Saee? at Safa O Marwah.

    Salat & Zakat

  • "Salat" Arabic Root " Saad, laam, waw (yeh)"Since salaat is an important part of

    Peace!

    1. As sala the middle of the back the place where an animal?s tail grows or the beginning of the slope of the hip both sides of the tail are called salawaan the plural is salawaat or aslaa sala yaslu salwa means to strike the sala(as mentioned above) salautuhuI struck him on the sala.

    2. Sallal farasa tasliah is said when the number two horse in a race is running ver close to the number one horse the horse in front is called saabiq and the one in second position is called almusalli thus salla means to follow behind almost touching the one in front one of Hazrat Ali?s tale says sabaqa rasulul laahi wa salla abu bakrin wa sallasa umaru wa khbatatna fitnah the Prophet puh went first (i.e. died) followed closely by Hazrat Abu Baker and thenHazrat Umar also passed away leaving the devils making us lose our sense.

    3. The Tajul Uroos says salia wus tala means attachment i.e. to be attached or stuck to
dsomeone that is why Raghib has said, that the Qur?an when it says lum naku minal musalleen7443 we were not among the miusalleen ? it means we were not the followers of the prophets Qurtabi writes therefore salaat would mean linked to the orders of God to remain within the bounds or limits set by God and be attached to the Book of God as such, tasliah would mean to follow the one in front almost in tandem but never to go past the one in the front but to follow it

These explanations make the meaning of salaat clear. However we need to have detailed deliberations from the free-mind community. Above connotations forced me to declare that Mr Rashid Khalifa?s assertion ? Contact Prayer? is discrepant.

  • Meaning of the word Al-Shukar and its shades....Need Comments.
    F fabrinoo

    peace
Al-Shukr Basic meaning of this root is to fill up and to express* * Ibn Faaris says it has different basic meanings; one of which is to be filled and abundant shakaratin naaqah the camel?s teats became full of milk almishkaar a mammal which may have little fodder but still her teats are full of milk zarratun shakra udder full of milk as shikrah a (She) camel whose udder is full of milk***.
Shaakiraatish shajarah branches sprouts on tree trunk ishtakaratis sama-u it rains cats and dogs ishtakaral harru wal bard winter and summer were brimful shakara fulan that man was greatly benevolent and distributes alms a lot to people
    **Muheet ***Taj
TAJUL UROOS says that shukr; from human side, it is compliance and the performance of obligatory duties (farz) with the expression of gratitude. God?s full response towards shukr means to confer much more in return for a little action for example if a person, in his destitute, extend a little help to someone, then his modest sacrifice will be greater than a person who give alms after satisfying his own needs. It is called ample reward for a meager action in the way of God.

If we keep the basic meaning of ?shukr? before us then we can easily comprehend the meaning of ?sa-ee mushkoor? such an effort which fetches plentiful results (i.e. more than the effort warranted) so complete like the teats of a goat are full of milk. ?shaakir?(fa-inna Allha shkirun AAaleem(un) 215 shaakir God is one who compose from one?s effort bountiful results. The word ?Khusr? is an antonym to ?shukr? that has been used for the efforts gone waste 3965, 66 ( &#1614 a man?s efforts which produce upright and excellent results is also termed ?shakoor? 145( )Therefore according to the tense, shakoor has more aggrandizement than shaakir.
Since ?shukr? also means to highlight or,to make evident, and the word ?kufr? means,to hide reality willfully or ignorantly, has been used as antonym in this verse 147 ( &#1610. In Surah Baqarah 2154 ( &#1616 it means always keep God given blessings uncovered or available so that the human race can benefit from it do not hide them or cover them.

Among the first of God given endowments are the potentialities and capabilities which a human being possesses the development of these capacities, exploration of divine potential and there manifestation in human disposition is also ?shukr?. These can grow only by righteous deeds therefore, virtuousness and actions towards the divine direction culminate the cause for ?shukr? of God?s benevolence Surah Ahqaaf verse 4615 relates this very fact when it is said that you should call for ( ) O, my Nurturer, give me the capability of thanking you (to thank you (?shukr?) for your benevolence that is, I may do such righteous deeds which replicate and reflect in myself at another place, it is said Mun yashkur fa innama yashkuru li-nafsehi wa mun kafara fa innal laha ghaniyyun hameed 3112 he who covers up or hides God?s munificence (i.e. he hides or does not disclose) , does God no harm but he harm himself. One, who uncovers them, develops his own capabilities God in His personality rightly deserve eulogy, all praises and admirations.

To uncover God?s gifts or to disclose them means to utilize them as God has commanded that is, they should be kept available for the nourishment of humanity at large this fact has been highlighted with the help of an exmaple a community of a dwelling or a city, had plentiful means of sustenance but fakafarat bi-anami lillah 16112 they began to hide from fellow humans God?s affluence. Resultantly faced retribution, approach gradually, of hunger and fear God?s prophets were sent to them but they rejected them thus momineen have been warned to refrain from such attitude
16114 keep God?s gifts uncovered inn kuntum iyyahu
ta?budoon 16114 if you follow His laws only, then obviously you will keep open whatever God has given you and the ?kufr? of those gifts means to hide them (according to your self- made laws) bima kaanu yasna-oon 16112 this in surah Airaaf has been made explicit as ?shaakireen? are those who do not follow the way of the Iblees and are do not fall into his trap 717 Thumma latiyannahum min bayni aydeehim wamin khalfihim waAAan aymnihim waAAan sham-ilihim wal tajidu aktharahum shkireen(a) "Then will I(Iblees) assault them from before them and behind them, from their right and their left Nor wilt thou find, in most of them, gratitude (for thy mercies)."
Surah Baqarah says about the Bani Israeel 256Thumma baAAathnkum min baAAdi mawtikum laAAallakum tashkuroon(a) We gave you life after death so that you pay ?thanks?; this makes it clear that nations regain life or are resurrected after death so that they can develop their latent abilities those nations which do not do so are not ?alive?; nor can they exist.
    Therefore it?s elucidated above that

    1. Human efforts to be mashkoor mean that they yield the best plentiful consequences. They have to be fruit-bearing appreciably.

    2. ?Sukar? from Man denotes that he should wide open the blessings of God for humanity.
      a) that he makes his latent potentialities fully evident or develops them;
      b) Keep the means of nourishment spread in the universe and hold out to foster mankind and not to conceal them.

    3. It can be attained that Man uprightly and firmly obey God?s laws and observe His commandments and live his life accordingly. It will be thankfulness from human being.

    4. ?shukr? from God refer to that He fully reward the actions taken by his servant in the right direction to achieve his goal. This is the specific characteristic of God?s eternal laws that if one observe and follow accordingly, consequently bring forth pleasant plentiful results of one?s efforts. Surah Dhahar says Inn hadaynhu a(l)ssabeela imm shkiran wa-imm kafoor(n) 763
We have guided human being to right path trough Divine Instructions (Wahi). Now it?s his own will to adopt it or reject it here Shukar refer to accept and appreciate very high valued divine instructions.
In Surah Nisa 4147 in shakartum wamantum wakna Allhu shkiran AAaleem(n) if you value this guidance then believe (have faith or eeman) In 3413Shakur is used in the sense of Shaakir. Sahib e Ghareeb ul Quran ( Mirza. Abu ul fazal) writes that it means, to derive benefit from the sources employed to have affluence. For example in Surah Saba says iAAmaloo la dwooda shukran. O, progeny of Dawood (as), you should explore and utlize the resources (according to the laws of God ) to attain His gracious benevolence and be Shaakir.
Ibn Faaris said, in the root meanings of Al- Shukar; it is included that be contended on meager sources and small things. It also farsa shakoor said to be a horse which is obese but a little fodder is enough for him our dormant potentialities and capabilities, when fully explored and nourished, automatically bring profuse results even with a very little external support.
