Salaam friend-of-islam and welcome to the forum brother

I agree that us as individuals can be more warm and friendly to eachother in this forum. But to tell you the truth, i almost have no complains. You know why? Because we are different people with different opinions, and therefore there may off course be disagrements or from people. But we don't take it personal because we agree that we could have different opionions and still be united. People here don't do ass kissing our smile fake at you like other religious groups may do. People here are real and speak their minds. The muslims in traditional islam are off course friendlier, but that is only as long as you follow their rules and live by their concept of faith.

That's probably because i never felt i belonged anywhere and sometimes it's great to hear about belonging to a brotherhood when you are invited to one. I think i'm a very lonely person although i don't really mind that. I do think i need someone or something bigger to trust, i know i have a great longing for god.

This is a forum where people have on goal in mind, and that is too follow the truth and follow God syste(monotheism).
Trust me, i would rather be friend with someone who is normal than someone that is faking his warmness to me. That is marketing strategies----) They be kind to you and welcome you so you get tricked by their warmness and suddenly you are trapped in their sect. If you have talked to a salesman, you know what i mean. As long as he knows you are going to "buy his product" he will treat you like a king and be totally warm with you. But when you say you are not interested in buying his product, he will suddenly be cold to you.

I would recommend reading what al quran has to say about brotherhood

Maybe you can give me some examples .

I think my only reservation is the concept of eternal hell in the quran.

Yeah it's sad. Reminds me of rooster fighting! and bull fighting! and animal testing for cosmetic products! and other animals for science expiraments. Very cruel. Makes you wonder why did Allah make animals "feel" things!

Well maybe Allah wants us to treat animals kindly, The quran often talks about corrupters of the earth. Maybe destroying nature and mistreating animals is what this corrupters of the earth is all about.

Yes i know many sunni muslims, one is a good friend. Although i think they would not think of me as a muslim if i were a quran-only muslim.

However i'm actually still a buddhist right now.

Well, something about me.

A few years ago i met a muslim who taught me allot about islam, i really felt attracted towards islam, and wanted to learn. He bought me a koran and a biography of muhammad. I read and thought about islam, i wanted to do a little experiment. Maybe it was leaded by some sort of arrogance on my part, i don't know. Anyway, when i wen't to sleep late at night i wondered about the existence of god/allah. I said '' Allah if you exist, make yourself known to me please!!! Not even a second past befor i heard a strange kid of thunder in the sky, it frightened me allot. Since then i can't get islam out of my mind. I never felt really attracted to the hadith but the brotherhood of traditional islam was great in my eyes. I still don't know exactly what to believe or where to turn to though.

1 First of all, i read a few articles on this site regarding correcting translation mistakes in the noble Quran regarding wife-beating, cutting of hands etc..etc.. Is there a complete translation for sale that is in accord with these corrections? Is this the book called; the message?

2 A question about hell and defining a kafir. In my reasoning someone is a kafir that denies the idea of an absolute form of justice and goodness, this will result in nihilism and thus evil deeds. Someone that believes in justice and therefor an absolute form of goodness is already a believer even if he or she has not defined or translated this absolute form of goodness into the existence of god. God is but a word, the meaning of god is an absolute form of goodness that is engraved in the heart of every noble human being, that is what is important. thus even an atheist could believe in god even if he or she is unaware of it. Someone that does not carry this in his or her heart can truly be defined as a kafir since horrible deeds are mostly the result.

This is an important question for a person who was not born into a muslim family or even a theistic family and does not enjoy imagining their good-hearted relatives in an everlasting hell.

What do you think of my reasoning?

3 How do you as a ''quran only'' muslim relate to other muslims, is there still a sense of brotherhood? Do you go to traditional mosques?

4 The hadith literature contains some good passages about treating animals in a compassionate way. Are there any of these passages in the quran? Also, is animal sacrifice necesarry?

5 Are animals slaughtered for their meat even in paradise?

6 Is it true that the arts, music, sculptures etc.... are not condemned in the noble Quran? As long as they are not connected to idol worship ofcourse.

7 Do "quran only'' muslims get all their information about the prophet mohammad (peace be upon him) from the the noble quran?
