Forgive me but I would like to discuss this further. I've came across the Surah of 58 verse 22

?You will not find people who believe in GOD and the Last Day befriending those who oppose GOD and His messenger, even if they were their parents, or their children, or their siblings, or their tribe. For these, He decrees faith into their hearts, and supports them with inspiration from Him, and admits them into gardens with flowing streams wherein they abide forever. GOD is pleased with them, and they are pleased with Him. These are the party of GOD. Most assuredly, GOD's party are the winners.? -5822

Allah mentions in this Ayah which means the Last Day. Could this mean that (last day) and (the resurrection day) have the same meaning? If you look at in that Verse, it didn't end with '' . What is your understanding according to this Verse? And what is your understanding of the meanings of and ? confused

I now understand that is referring to the Hereafter, which includes the Resurrection Day, Hell and Jannah. I should not have said that Allah didn't say to believe in the resurrection day, I was wrong. May Allah forgive me. This is because (Hereafter) is referring to the Resurrection Day, Hell and Jannah (all together). I will continue doing some research on this, InshaAllah.

InshaAllah, with the permission of my Lord, Allah, we will see what means.

The word "alAakhirat" or is used almost 115 times in alQuraan and it is never used to refer to the Day of Judgment or . I would be happy if anyone could point me that it is used to refer to "the Day of Judgement" in any aayat. "Yawm al qayaamat" or is the word used for the Day of Judgment and it is always used with the word "yawm" which means "period or day" unlike "alAakhirat" which used in both ways, with and without the word "yawm".

is used about 70 times in alQuraan which only refers to "the Day of Judgement", I am not going into details of it now, what it means and how it is derived. But we will be talking about today, inshaAllah.

When already a word is used to refer to the Day of Judgement, then why another word is used to refer the same? Many of us think that or "alAakhirat" is also used to refer to the Day of Judgement, but this is not the case.

Surprisingly, I don't find any aayat, asking you to believe in may be because, it is not possible for everyone to believe in such. But we can find several aayaats that ask us to believe in , so what is this word mean, how and why should we believe in it?

We have seen above that simply means "Next time" but only in this world, it is not referring to "Next life after death". Based on formulations fixed in alQuraan/alKitaab for us, we have to believe in . For example we will take above mentioned aayat

177 ...
177 If you do good, you do good for your ownselves, and if you do evil, it is against yourselves....

Here we have to believe that if we do good now, we will get a good result in , that could be after a day, or a month, or an hour, or a year... could be any period of time. Same goes for bad, believing in the result that we will get as we do in this life, IS believing in or alAakhirat.

People rush for everything as they are going to lose it, so these people actually don't believe in , if we do something, then we have to be patient to get its results. In this way you are not only believing in alAakhirat but you are also believing in Allah as a Judge for your and your deeds. You are believing that Allah sees everything what we do or say and He will respond to that in this life. Lets take a look at another aayat.

1718 Whoever should desire the immediate - We hasten for him from it what We will to whom We intend. Then We have made for him Hell , which he will burn, censured and banished.

Do you see what is wrong in desiring anything immediately? In contrast to this another aayat came.

1719 But whoever desires alAakhirat and exerts the effort due to it while he is a believer - it is those whose effort is ever appreciated.

When you compare both aayaats, you will understand how "alAakhirat" is used more clearly, inshaAllah. Furthermore...

1720 To each we extend - to these and to those - from the gift of your Lord. And never has the gift of your Lord been restricted.

used twice in this aayat, one refers to people who hasten, other refers to people who desire for the next time and wait.

1721 Look how We have favored some of them over others. But the next time is greater in degrees and greater in distinction.

Many of them don't believe in alAakhirat and who do believe in it are the believers of this Book as per 692

692 And this is a Book which We have sent down, blessed and confirming what was before it, that you may warn the Mother of Cities and those around it. Those who believe in alAakhirat believe in it, and they are maintaining their prayers.

You will find many aayaats about believing in alAakhirat but you will never find any asking you to believe in . Because we can see and then believe in alAakhirat. This proves that everything written in alQuraan is so logical and straight forward that no one need to believe in anything blindly. AlhamduliAllah hail

This is very interesting topic. I do agree that means the Day of Judgment.

However, doesn't mean the Day of Judgment. God wouldn't say "believe in the Judgment Day" He means the Hereafter. The disbelievers do not believe when they die they won't be resurrected and live in another life. They only believe one life -This life- and thus they enjoy this life while they are thinking they won't be resurrected by Allah or go to Hereafter. See 307? It says they only care about this life (Ad-dunya) while they are heedless of Hereafter Allah will increase His bounty to the believers in Hereafter as it state in 1721 )

Although, to my knowledge of understanding this verse 177, I first need to read the beginning of that Surah in order to see the point. 177 is talking about the Children of Israel. Allah is saying from 174 that they (The children of Israel) will commit a gross evil on this Earth, twice -Marratayni- (175) The first time, the servants of Allah will invade their homes. (176) After that, Allah will give them a turn over them. (177) When the second time comes to pass they will be defeated while entering the Masjid like they did the first time. This time is mentioned but by referring to when the second time comes to pass.

I really hope you understand the explanations that I have provided it to you. InshaAllah, I am right. P

I understand that they don't want to be confused for belonging to those sects but I think that they seem to be falling into the similar trap that the other sects fall into - which is creating a sect at all. I usually don't share my opinion on things like this if not asked but it really saddens me to see yet more sectarianism.

I think they call themselves Quranist so they aren't mistaken with being a Sunni or Shia Muslims especially by the non-muslims since the Sunni and Shia are popular in the World. I think I can understand their perspective. They do not want to be seen as someone who believes or supports the ideas or laws that the majority of Muslims upholds since its usually based on the other Hadith.

As for me, I call myself a Muslim (Monotheism) and then I try to explain to them why I follow the Quran alone and not the Hadith. They tend to get confused at first, some understand it, some don't even tend to understand it. And when I said ?they? I am referring to the non-muslims (lol). It is extremely important when God tells us to name ourselves as Submitters (Muslims) in 2279. Thus, I don't see Quranist, Sunni, Shia, Sufi, Ahmadiyya and etc in the Quran. What the people need to understand is when God says something, He means it. It is not something to be taken as a joke. God made the Quran very easy to understand it and He helps us to understand it (since He is our Teacher) if we are willing to study it carefully.

Thank you. That's what I also thought. Or maybe Allah wanted to put out my sadness for keeping my deen secret? To be honest, I thought lots of times to tell my family more about my deen but after everything I went through by confessing my deen to them, I don't think I can. ( I am not ready for that. They will think I am misleading them. One of my sister even says every time she sees in the house "I seek refugee in Allah from the whispering of shaydan (satan)." She sees me as a "jinn". '( I pray for them that Allah guides them since He is the Guider. I would have loved the idea of my mother and the rest of the family to leave the Hadith and follow the Qur'an only but it's easy to say than done.

Good story. Indeed you are blessed to still have shelter and practice your religion. I had a similar experience with my parents. (read my last post http//free-minds.org/forum/index.php?topic=9602869.msg283734#msg283734 ) I was a Christian for many years till I started studying the Quran when I was around 17 years old. It was very difficult at first. There were many different interpretations and sects in Islam but God willing God guided me in stages. I would have very well followed hadith had it not been for an accident that occurred while I was surfing the web.
One day I was searching on-line for an electronic version of the Quran and in my search I stumbled upon a site called submission.org. The group that owned the site were said to be 'Quran Aloners.' At first i was a bit skeptical since i was adamant that Hadith had to be part of 'God's Way' .It was weeks before my curiosity got the better of me that I then started to read and study what they had to say. After my studies I then realized that the Quran Alone ought to be studied and not Hadiths and Sunna. After that revelation many years ago God has guided me since then in stages.

What a lot of 'muslims' today don't realize is that every single practice has been
'tampered' with. This is not a fairy tale. It is a fact. Some believe it to be impossible but i beg to differ. If these fabricators can make up all sorts of lies and foolish stories about the Prophet is it really so hard to believe that they (the fabricators and idol worshipers of Muhammad) even had the audacity to change the basic practices of Monotheism???At any rate this topic is completely separate issue(forgive me from straying too far)

May God guide us all and increase our intelligence.

I just read your story. ) It seems we all have some similarities. Its the same thing as striving hard for the cause of Allah (which is a good thing). I am glad you didn't even followed ?Hadith?. Allah works in His mysterious ways and guides people to His Light in a different or the same ways. I'm sorry to hear that it took years for your father to calm down and speak to you. And indeed we should be grateful that Allah has chosen to guide us to His Path, allhamdulillah. I actually came across with that website (Submission) during my research too. They had some Verses from the Qur'an that was against Shirk and hadith. As much as I can remember, I don't agree with praying 5 times a day as it explained there and some others.

I agree. What I cannot understand is, when they found some lies in Hadith and yet continued to follow it. They just chose to ignore it I guess and they are convinced this is what the Prophet Muhammad did and said in Hadith. They don't question about their religion simple as that and they believe that they are guided and this lead them not to learn anything about the Hadith and the Qur'an. May Allah forgive us and always guide us to His Right Path until we meet Him, God willing.

The evidence for 3 is quite evident in the Quran and even looking at remains of earlier scriptures from God.

The evidence for 2 is based on linguistic arguments which are quite subjective.

I'm sorry to state this but I don't remember when Free-Minds website took me to the darkness? lol. This is priceless! Allah has guides ME through reading His Best Hadith (The Qur'an), no website or whatsoever "mislead me from Sunni" Allah did it. So, are you going to complain to Allah now by asking Him why He "mislead" me? tempt Istakhfurlaah! For your information, whenever I need to understand anything about the beautiful Islam, I pick up the Qur'an and examine it for myself and listen to Allah's words only. I do not need anyone, neither do I need any one from a website to explain for me about Islam. I do not need to go websites and read what to do, how to pray, how to fast, how to behave, what our Messengers of Islam were like and on. It's all in the Qur'an and Allah made it perfect and there is no error in the Qur'an unlike the "hadith" where they contradict Allah's words many times. For instance, when we are doing Wudu (ablution) you have to wash your face, your hands to elbow, wipe your head and wash your feet to ankle BUT oh wait, the majority of Muslims do the opposite and wash the ears, mouth, nose and hands. When Allah says DO this He means it! He isn't playing around neither is he being sacastic. I cannot speak for everyone in here but I DO respect and love ALL the Prophets in Islam in the same way. And most importantly I love Allah the most! He comes first! Just because we reject "Hadith" whom was written by Bukhari, Muslims, this doesn't mean we dislike/hate our Prophet Muhammad! That is impossible to say it! We accepted our Prophet Muhammad's BOOK (Qur'an) and We accepted his message that we should worship none but Allah only! Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) didn't bring any new to our beautiful religion, Islam was here before him, IF only people would examine and realise that all the three religions were supposed to be one, by 1 Worshipping Allah alone, 2 Following His Revelations and 3 Believing in the Last Day.

No one has the power and the ability to guide anyone to Allah's Light. None! Except when Allah wills it!

All (those that worship Allah alone and accept the Qur'an only) of you should be blessed that Allah opened your heart and brought you out from the darkness, rejecting, desobying and being blind. Praise the Lord of the Universe. May Allah forgive us and guide us to His Light always (God Willing).

Go ahead and follow your "hadith" we won't stop you but we can only advice you that it isn't the right thing to do in a nicely and politely way. To each to their own and every individual will be responsible for what they have done to their soul! Your soul will be witness against you (all of us) and so will the Prophets of Islam and your idols!

I'm ready to answer Allah when He asks me in the Final Day "Why did you follow the Qur'an only?" I will say O my Lord you said so in the Qur'an "You shall all follow what is revealed to you from your Lord; do not follow any idols besides Him. Rarely do you take heed." But, when Allah asks you "Why did you follow "hadith?" What will you say? What will your answer be? Now, are you going to lie to Allah and say "O Allah, you asked me so?" Then Bring your proof if you're truthful! laugh

12-101 "You are my Lord and Master in this life and in the Hereafter. Let me die as a submitter, and count me with the righteous."

My intention was to indicate being able to meet a potential spouse from any other faith, and being able to convince them of Quran-alone, ie. converting them. ) Once they are a Quran-alone Muslim, then you would marry them and live a prosperous life together, God willing. )

I personally don't worry too much about finding another Quranist. I think being a knowledgeable Quranist makes it easier to meet a potential spouse that may be a God-fearing person of another religion, because it makes the case of Islam as strong as it can be (with Quran alone). I feel that I can make my case strong enough to the point where if they don't agree, we'd simply not get along logically. I often wonder how traditional "Muslims" end up with people who were originally another religion, or even meet within their own faith considering all of the numerous contradicting hadith they have to deal with.

With true Islam, it's just the Quran VS whatever book they believe in. Meet the person, study their religion, make your case, and if things don't work then it's a good sign that they are not on your level of logic anyway. But I think we'd be surprised how many people are resting on flimsy faith and occasionally need somebody like a Quranist to just tip them.

To be honest, it is essential for me who to date or to marry for that matter. By dating and marrying someone who is a Muslim and worships Allah alone and follows the Qur'an only and fears Allah is more than enough for me and it would be less complicated and would make things seems to be beautiful by working together and worshipping Allah alone together. Just imagine this, you get married to a Sunni Muslim and they would say "Hey, stop listening to music, HARAM", "Cut your nails short, jinns lives under them" (lol) or "Sleep on the right side" Or even perhaps argue about who is right and who is wrong in their positions of having their own beliefs. -shrugs- I don't think I would prefer something like that to be honest. I would like to have a simple life as possible in the future (inshallah) hence at the present life I am in now. Would prefer a Submitter fearing His Lord, waking me up to pray and devoting to absolutely to Allah alone, sticking with the Laws of Allah and telling me to be patient with life "together". As Allah said in the Qur'an "believing men is for believing women". God Willing, He will direct me to the place where to find that prince and I know in my inner that Allah knows what's the best for me. Hope and patience is the answer to life!
