Of course they won't eat them. I can imagine what some of them would say Some hadiths are weak. You are taking the hadith out of context, that's not what the Prophet (PBUH) meant. The Prophet probably didn't mean it literally... etc )

I came across this forum while doing some research on hadiths. I have read so many hadiths from sunni sahih books and I find many of them weird and illogical. Some contradict the Quran, others contradict science, some are immoral... I don't think all of them are false but if so many are wrong, then how can I be sure of the others? When I read the Quran, I feel peaceful inside but when I open a hadiths book I feel lost and angry!
Right now, when I read Hadiths it's only to know more about how people lived at the time. I can't understand how scholars sometimes put the hadith before the Quran. How can a hadith abrogate the Quran when the Quran is the word of God?!

When I talk about this with my friends all I get is "You cannot doubt Sahih Bukhari and Muslim". They have never even read them! And they always try to justify weird hadiths by saying that there must be a reason behind these hadiths that we can't understand. o
The last time I had a discussion about this with a friend, the response I got (after presenting so many convincing arguments) was "Sometimes I feel that you are not convinced by Islam". Whenever this subject is opened, others just try to make me feel guilty. ( To be honest, I am still lost...
