Some women find the headscarf / face veil (niqab) / burqa (full veil) liberating and I can see why (not saying I agree, just saying I can understand why some do). So to imply that there is something wrong with these women because they find it liberating does not give an honest picture in my opinion.
Also, from my experience of the forum, there seems to be a prevalent myth that the head cover is not in AQ. That is not entirely accurate. It would be more correct to say that there is no 100% clear commandment that women must wear the head cover, but a reasonable case can be made for it using AQ

There was an interesting show on PBS the other night were they were relating NDE to psychedelic trips. They are saying that the brain releases certain chemicals that induce a trip similar to if you take a psychedelic. look up DMT (Dimethyltryptamine)

What br. Zulf is saying makes sense. It's no wonder why just about everybody has had a similar experience. Much like dreaming.. patterns (geometrical) are created and then your memories of symbolism makes up the rest of the shapes into recognizable symbols ie. dead grandma calling you from the light etc... hence why there is much symbolism in characters you witness in your dreams. Meaning you see your mother or father etc.. but they are not what is truely being represented.. just your mind filling in the blanks and shapes... also for NDE, it's speculated that such a thing is the body's (mind's) mechanism to deal with death... yet there are also other properties of those who are experienced that will tell you goes beyond just the physical.

Maybe none of them deserved to go to hell. Besides, hell is not yet there. What are they going to experience?

Quranist is man made term and label just like sunni, shia etc. etc.. It appears you have come out of one man made sect and wish to join another? Well, at least that's what your words are alluding to. Was Abraham, Musa, Isa, etc.. etc.. etc.. "quranists?"

It's one thing to understand how man has crept into and corroupted the Deen but it's another to run all the way around only to complete a circle back to where you started from.

as it seems to becoming a norm so far with you, I can't disagree with you voodoo ... you're right about empathy being needed... i think you're absolutely right that in a marriage it's best to be realistic than idealistic! I'd also add at the same time not forgetting that we can make our idealistic notions real... at least with the right person... also, that compromise serves much better than thick headedness in a marriage!

As I see it there is a difference between needs and wants; a good marriage would satisfy most needs, whereas a bad marriage will not satisfy even the basic needs but sometimes the basic needs are satisfied but it?s the demands (want) which may make it a failure.
A good husband knows what to do and so does a good wife and since you are happily married I?m sure you don?t expect me to tell you what is needed in a satisfactory relationship.
However do not expect all your needs to be fulfilled in a marriage; there will always be something missing like one spouse snoring away when the other is trying to sleep; brickwall my poor husband (sleep IS a basic need)
