POSTS DISAPPEARINGYeh wopapnin peeps
This b Natu.
A wonder what it means to have a "forum upgrade", now I'm not a graduate in IT or anything but I can deduce the following.
If there is a forum upgrade and "posts" go missing, then the upgrading brickwall needs a slap in the face. (Excuse the bad language people I put a smiley there instead). Think about a database. If a column goes missing then everything in that column goes missing, not just a few rows, if posts go missing, then all of the posts go missing, not just a few of them. Thats enough evidence that some bull faeces is goin' on. It would be hard to get rid of rows (members) becuase then the other rows (members) would notice more easily. This is, my friend (cough cough, slayth hail electronic dictatoship) My posts about 19, the matrix, some of my most precious inputs to the forum, have gone haram (hah haa). And whoever is RESPONSIBLE is fully aware of what is going on. I got money and I can easily open a forum, its easier than buying a second hand car. But we need to sort out the people who are RESPONSIBLE, because (cough cough, slayth) they know what is going on, and they are the ones who are doing it becuase it doesn't match their opinions, which are by the way only opinions. I could have PMd the mods but I want all readers of FM forum to know whats going on, not just the members or the mods or the
owner(s).
So don't be hypocrites (munafik, I had to translate that to arabic otherwise it would get put in the trash section for being offensive hah haa).
Make peace, or sieze, or yo forum gona freeze, you don't know who any/some of us are so don't try n b a star (cough cough, slayth hail, hah haa).

Meditation-is there something like it we must carry out?Peace Natu,
In studying our own cosciousness we become aware that our consciousness is constantly changing its state!
like ice , water, vapor, rain, river, see,........ just as an example.
We sometimes feel very sharp, seeing many sounds and colours and sometimes we are so busy inside ourselves that we barely are attentive to our surrounding!
Meditation is a spiritual practice to realize a shift in the state of consciouseness! The first stage of meditation is reaching the state of trance!
Our consciouseness is like a large wide screen which all kind of pictures and emotions and impressions and thoughts becomes projected unto it! all the time.
In the state of trance that screen will be made Just an empty screen which nothing is reflected on it!
When this happens a knowing arises! difficult to find the right words, but one discovers the IS-NESS, THE SUCH-NESS! One experiences the very IS-ness of himself! This state is very much like hypnosis. Any idea thrown at this empty screen enters the subconsciouness mind!
we will talk more
peace,
See thats the thing. Trying to work out meditation is very very very very very hard if we're using words that sound special with no real fixed meaning that everyone understands. So I just use happiness and non-happiness to work out what going on, if your happy, your doing something, if your not, then your doing something wrong. Simple.
Words like these...
In studying our own cosciousness we become aware that our consciousness is constantly changing its state!
What is consciousness and what are the different states of consciousnes. I think we are all confusing ourselves even more by trying to define the word "meditation" using others words that we don't know the meaning to. its like trying to work out out y in y=x+z, what the hell is x and z? P
Meditation is a spiritual practice to realize a shift in the state of consciouseness! The first stage of meditation is reaching the state of trance!
What does "spiritual" mean. No, wait, its all about meditation, No, wait what is meditation... -\
A "shift in the state of consciousness"? Whats that? Is that just a long winded way of saying whether your smiling or not?
"The state of trance" - Wot? Do we want to be zombies that don't talk or do we want our faces to shine with an infectious smile? Are happy in this "state of trance" ignoring everything around you. Don't we want to be happy people. I think I see whats going on. We're all just trying to work out things to do to go to heaven. Am I right? Maybe, but the way I see it, you can tell what you'lo be like from the dreams your having when you go to sleep. If you have nightmares most of the time, then when you fall asleep forever, you might just be in a nightmare. Thats, to me seems scarier than a place filled with fire. If you are happy becuase you do the right thing, and you have good dreams that that is a really good indicator. Its not about just working out where your destination (heaven/happiness/dream in the final sleep) is. Its about finding your way towards it. If your having nightmares, your far from the destination. If your having good dreams your getting happier and your final sleep will be better. Thats my opinion anyway. This stuff might seem deep or shocking, but I think it is the truth. And it doesn't involve stuff like "spiritual/trance/meditation". The truth is simple, we don't need to complicate things to make what we say sound nice. If dreams aren't an indicator of how happy we would be in the final sleep, then what is. If buy an expensive car makes you happy, are you sure thats true. How long does that happiness last. That happiness is there on the point you get it, and then you drive it aroun and its not special anymore, eventually. Thats not what I am after personally. I'm after a smile on my face and smiles on the faces around me. Not a spiritual trance where I think I am doing something special. Theres no point trying to press the stop button on life to work out whats going on. We can't stop time, thats what I think people try to do when they try to "meditate" hmmmm style. You need to keep on going, improving, stop yourself from lying, stop yourself from stealing things from people. When you tell someone that you actually spent ?100 pounds on a top and not ?300 doesn't bring you down, it shocks the people listening, and its makes you realise that you are helping them by stopping them stressing about earning money. And when you go to sleep you feel proud of yourself, and happier than you would be if you carried on telling them it was for ?300 and walking away with a memory of your friends sad face. What makes you happy, not a "state of trance", its doing the right thing, thanking the God. If your smiling and happy all of the time, instead of depressed and stressed, do you think you would go to hell/nightmare in your final sleep. Its all simple. God didn't just let professor and einsteins go to heaven. even babies born know the difference between ri8ght and wrong. Who taught us what right is. We know its a good thing to tell the truth, how do we know that? What is good? How do we know that. We don't need to go trancing about trying to be different.
When this happens a knowing arises! difficult to find the right words, but one discovers the IS-NESS, THE SUCH-NESS! One experiences the very IS-ness of himself!
As we explaining something here or are we just saying something that readers don't have an explanation for? There's just no need. smile/no-smile /happy/sad is enough my friend.
This state is very much like hypnosis. Any idea thrown at this empty screen enters the subconsciouness mind!
"Hypnosis"?! "Has anyone reading this ever been hypnotised? What happened if you think you were hypnotised? Every one of us has the opportunity to make our own decisions, God never lets someone else make our decisions for us. Hypnosis is control by another person. If someone tells you to tell the truth, you won't just do it, you will think about what was said and decide whether to do it or not. You won't just do it.
Happiness to everyone. sun Isn't this emoticon what you want to see in the mirror, or is it this P or even worse, this '(
We know what we want. We need to start thinking about how we are feeling right now instead of banging our heads against a wall to work out how to get to "heaven". If we get closer, our happiness grows and the last sleep is one long beautiful dream, and not a nightmare. If you are scared of things in life, like "ghosts" and the "sugar puff monster" then if you see them in a dream you would be scared (nightmare) but if you recognise that you don't need to be scared, seeing count dracula in a dream wouldn't scare you, you would look at it as just "dracula" not something to be scared of. You could have a nice dream and see dracula in it. Its all about whether you want to be scared or not. The dreams we see are based on our actions and experiences, ultimately on the decisions we make, whether we do the right thing or not. What makes you feel better, this ) or this yay
You know the answer.

My personal definition of meditation is thinking productively. We all think all of the time, some of us are thinking about what would be on TV right now, some of us are thinking about cooking something. Some of us are thinking about David Bekham's new hairstyle or what the football score is. When its productive its meditation. I don't agree with the whole cross legged hmmmmmmmmmmmmm thing. Thats a bit of a waste of time if your ask me, you could be cleaning your ears instead of doing that.
So what is meditation? Its a word. What matters is the "connection/solla/salat/namaz" it implies.
Do we need to meditate? Well if we're reading these words and we're thinking about them to work out whether we need to or not, we already are meditating - IMHO.
Anyway, time to munch, tootaloo. eat

I briefly read your article through interest in the concept of marriage, and would verify the Arabic, but before I begin, I?d like to clear up something I may have misunderstood. In your first post on this thread ?

Peace Siki,
Only the second article was written by me (and my wife).
Before we start going down the path of looking at your theory of "ma malkat aymanukum" that you think may be slaves, tell us how we would get those "slaves" in the first place according to the great reading? Is enslaving people tolerated by the god? Is it what peaceful people do?
Peace,
Ayman
You write in brackets that you coauthored this article with your wife, perhaps with the intention of reassuring the reader that your article contains a balanced view with regards to gender equality, a great issue when considering marriage. However, this is inconsistent with the very statement that initiates your article.

We search for the truth by reading. You seem to know what that particular truth is. The truth is clear, and the opposite isn't. Perhaps thats why there is ambiguity. The tears may or may not be real, but you are searching for truth, we are proud of people here to do that, it suits the purpose of the forum.
Don't think you don't know a truth and cry. Realise that you know you want to find the truth, ask the God for help, and then realise your strength if the God wills. I don't want to see that emoticon in any of your posts again, OK. D

trustPeace.
I understand "trust" to describe acceptance through logical deduction, with the intention of learning more.
Taking theology as an example, we have no "proof" other than words amongst ourselves that there is more than one God. If there is no Creator then there would be no Creation, and I consider everything that "exists" to have been created, because "existence" to my knowledge has inferences of a point where it began to exist. The Creator (I'm referring to the God) doesn't "exist",... the God just is. From this we can logically deduce that there isn't no God, nor are there more than one God. Trust is the notion of learning more to understand a logical duction further. If you trust a friend, you could give them your computer password, but with the knowledge that the God can do anything, one would know that the God could make that friend misuse your password, but you could give the password, (literally sharing information), so that you both learn. You would learn more about your friend by seeing what use your friend makes of that knowledge (your not being blind, you are trusting), and your friend would learn at least (IMO) that you like him/her and that you want to share information. I think this this can be called the learning connection.

Purpose of our creationPeace.
Is it to redeem our selves as described by Rashad Khalifa? but than again we never asked to be created. This is GOD'S wish.
I agree that we never asked to be created, becuase we simply wouldn't have existed to be able to ask, before we were created. D Personally, I don't ask why we were created, becuase that knowledge would only be necessary if we have the choice of being created or not - which did not happen, since we have already been created. I think we should just be thankful for what exists and is real, rather than asking why the favour was forced upon us and trying to repay it. I disagree with people who's conclusion at the current point in time is that we exist to redeem ourselves. I think we can all agree with truth, which can be found through reading.

the forgotten messagePeace weinmar
I would like to share a partial story
It was pleasant to read what you wrote and I found it very interesting how you think. I understand how you communicated what you thought of yourself and the world, the God's creation, however, I still find it in myself to seek further information about the actual experiences in your life that led you to write of what you think.
I like to think that I am a machine.
Likewise. Creation is a machine in my opinion, its just that the ones the God used human to build can't do as much multitasking as you mention.
I am a feedback creation as everything that revolves around my abilities, ultimately me, influences my thoughts, judgments, and actions.
I conclude that I failed to understand what you mean by "a feedback creation", perhaps I misunderstood elaboration from the latter portion of the sentence.
As I am growing up in this stressful world and learning to multitask so many generated thoughts and actions, my mind becomes fatigued to a point when it screws up literally.
I can appreciate the situation you describe, perhaps you would share specific experiences such as those which where the mind "screws up literally", so we could all learn from each other, and remind ourselves that the God is the one that knows everything about us and that the God is our only support and source of help.
I came to the United States of America after fourteen years spent in Morocco while the five next years that complete my age in numbers were the most dramatic.
From what you write I understand that your age is in someway complete ("years that complete my age in numbers" after (14+5) 19 years. That is fine, but you say your age is complete in numbers and that is what leads me to humbly ask what you are quantifying, lunar years, solar years, earth years? And what experiences did you incur in America that you describe as "dramatic"? (Personally, I'm not convinced of the degree of accuracy of my own birth certificate, because I don't remember the time when I was born, the certificate is "hadith" to me, so to say, but two decades is accurate enough of a description that suits purposes that involves enquiry of my "age", would you agree?).

I urge every hadith reader to be cautious and use their best and honest common sense.

FearThanks sooooooooooooooooooooooo much for your kinds words people! jedi

FearPeace!
I would vote for option 2. Fear of the unknown. I'm personally quite cool with stuff I know, what gets me is all the stuff out there, lurking, that I'm unaware of and I can imagine. So, basically it's about oneself and their own worst imaginings, living in the ramifications rather than the present etc. One's own worst enemy is us and so on and so forth.
I can understand how we try to imagine things that we have no knowledge of, the point is that we should control our fantasies/imagination with truth/logic, to make estimations.
Taking the weather for example. Seeing a grey sky, and immediately linking that to the estimation that a storm is coming, could be due to deviation from logic/truth, which leads to fear or ones own imagined thoughts. The stress response in an actual stormy situation is nothing but that. Controlling ones imagination by using logic, for example, how quickly the sky went grey, or how many days the sky has been that colour, and then extrapolating towards a sensible estimation, that is fantasy control - and no fear is involved, unless you do estimate a storm, in which case the stress comes in and you run down to the nearest valley and hug a tree. confused
I understand fear to be something you do yourself, rather than something that happens - but the problem is that your body can only take so much fear, and your immediate health would give clear indication that fear is the wrong half of the spectrum to be in. The other half, through the negative, past zero is towards however peaceful the God wills that one may be. Its the individuals own choice to choose fear over peacefulness or vice versa.
Leading from this I understand that when the body dies, the fantasies carry on, by when the body and the world is no longer there to show how peacefulness is better than fear. Switching to peacefulness can only happen when one accepts the truth/logic, that the fear is being created unnecessarily. Maybe this could happen after the body dies. Thats why Abraham wanted his son's to be peaceful when they die. And perhaps that is why we are told that we would be in "heaven" or "hell" for a long time / as opposed to forever. The God is merciful.
This leaves us with another question. What the hell are we, if we are not our body, or imaginations?
This has puzzled me for quite some time, and I realised after a long time that I was trying to visualise what I am, and give myself a name.
What is truer is trust in the unseen. We don't need to name what we are. We can describe ourselves - I consider my self to be peaceful. Thats enough for me to understand what I am.Please share your thoughts.
Peace.

Understanding GODPeace Nadeem.
I think you do understand my point of view very well, its just that I would say that there is no proof of more than one God - which can be said to be becuase there are no other gods to have any proof for their existence.
Hello Natu,
Basically what you are saying is this
- Without god nothing would exist, therefore since something does exist there has to be atleast one god.
- However, there exists no proof of more than one god.
- So to conclude More than or less than god is false, whilst one god is logical.
Do I understand you properly?
