  • People of the Gospel judge with what God has send down in it
    N NielsJacob

    Simple...
Let them judge with their own judgement..
Everything that is 'straight' can be 'corrupted'
And everything that is 'corrupted' can be 'straightened'...
    Nothing is 'perfect'... including yours...

Yes.. and let them fix their own society..
They will act as an actor to do check and balance to you and your society.. when your society become more corrupted than they are...

Note The notions of 'expansion' and 'conversion' is among the things which was 'corrupted' within Christianity and transferred into Islam. The arrogancy of 'chosen people' is among the things which was 'corrupted' within Judaism transferred along to Christianity and transferred along to Islam.

    Peace Jafar

But there has to be a distinguish between their own and Gods judgment/law.
Their own is the corrupted one.
Gods law supposed to be perfect.

And if something can be straightened, also meaning there have accepted a certain standard.

    Peace Novice.

I do not see "must" in the Arabic text of the verse. Translators have added it to their interpretation.

The verse is saying "who did not judge with what God sent down, those are fasiqoon.

The most common (97%) translation are "Let", "must" or "should"(present).
Only Shakir have past time "should have".

I think we should let the
"Correction/Modification to FM Translation of AlQuraan" know. Or what do you think?

I think the word to be checked is the first word Walyahkum .

Is this word related to present or past?

Most translation say "let", so it meaning the Gospel have to be followed.
But also one (Shakir) says "should have" meaning that dont need anymore.

    Questions/Comments on the Quran

  • People of the Gospel judge with what God has send down in it
    N NielsJacob

    Peace Israfeel

So you say that this ayah isnt about the Gospel. But when we read this and the previous ayah the meaning is the Gospel.
But could there be a misinterpretation?
like the right translation would be like Shakir And the followers of the Injeel should have judged by what Allah revealed in it; and whoever did not judge by what Allah revealed, those are they that are the transgressors.

So instead of "let" its "should have".
Are you that much into Arabic, because I aint??

Anyway there are nothing about the trinity in the Gospel. All that thing is only doctrines. There was some passage in KJV (old translation) saying like that. But they are all removed in new Bibles. They were additions and not in the old scriptures.

    Peace Wakas.
I dont really know why I want to do it on foot. Just I think that also the journey itself have some qualities. Like I have to give up my daily routine and just focus on this thing. These days just to easy to buy everything. Also a trip like this.
I see that some Christian walking this Camino giving them a time for focus on some few simple things.
In my view it could be nice if more people would like to walk and you could just join them. Like a free train going with a special purpose which you could just join by walking along.
It's like to take the pilgrimage to the max imo.

6310 Give from what We have provided to you, before death comes to one of you.

Also could be in the meaning that we should give out of our resources as human beings. To use our skills or sympatices. Anything that God has given you in the best way.
We shouldn't use our skills just to get money, but also use them to do something good.
Me myself I would like to use my skills to solve the waste situation in my second country (Ghana). That I see as a way of really giving out of what God has provided for me.

    Or I could be wrong?

    N NielsJacob

But why must you give up your ability to use your mind?

I dont think you have to do that if you want to submit to the will of God

And what is the will of God?

For me its to follow the things I thinks is correct according to God. And here I need to use my mind and study what I think is the word God (Quran

What if there are different channels of God's will? And what if God wills for us to use the faculty of reason and logic?

I agrre with you to the use of faculty and logic. And different channels I must say Im pretty aware when someone claiming like that.

I know the truth is buried in a lot of falsehood.

My perception is not associated with Paul and I never was a fan of his writings. I am basing my perception on Eysua's own utterances and what I have understood of Quran.

I also assumed so. Glad to hear that we here also share belief

What we consider evil in the world is because humans in general give in to their instinct and their spirit is not sufficiently developed but is actually quite dim. The source of this darkness is stemming from people themselves and cannot be blamed on an external entity (i.e. Satan as a person). Humans were made weak by bestowing their bodies with a strong instinctive system and which is the actual Satan. In ways, you can consider your body to be Satan while your soul is your self. Your life is a constant conflict between the body's desires and the you, unless you manage to master yourself. By listening to the bodily you rather listen to Satan than God.

I think you are lost in a world of deluded concepts about what God is.

I mean, what the heck is submit to the will of? Do you know what is the will to begin with?

By purpose of being I meant that you do what is required of you to fulfill the purpose of why you were placed in this world. Obviously God has a purpose of doing so, but it is not a primitive reason.

And, my way of presenting the choice of life is the best explanation you can get. You know that you choose between Satan or God, but you cannot generate a consistent elaboration on what it is you are choosing between. Satan represents the bodily identity and everything the body desires in its life and it is failure in doing so and hence being lost in delusion. Do not think you can pass through without having to withstand a challenge, a contradiction. Satan is against you throughout your whole life and will constantly seek to seduce you to give into bodily temptations and which are Hierarchical tendency, materialism, vanity, obsession, selfishness (looking out for own kin in priority, self-preservation), domination, violence, promiscuity, greed and jealousy.

Easily rounded up, everything which makes you an animal you must struggle with.

By purpose. Are you thinking Predetermined. Or are you more general like Emancipation?

And I just dont think all that easy like that. Because not all that make you like an animal cant be defined as bad. But the things you mention I think are correct (are it the 10 deadly sins). But don't they comes from a godly source like Quran, or how did you came up with them.
I also think it can be difficult to determine what is for instant materialism and what is not. Where are the line that tells you that know you are over the limit.
My claim is that if you state one thing like a deadly sin at lets assume that this becoming a common standard. I think we saw the example of that in the hippie period. Like someone could claim that you was to materialistic and demanding to give up your belongings.
The consequence is there will be a oppression and a invasion in peoples private spheres.
But if the meaning is that we are following Gods will and instruction. I can agree.
For me the answer is given in Quran We should make our prayers. And the reason is given in 2935 .. hold the contact prayer, for the contact prayer prohibits immorality and vice; but certainly the remembrance of God is the greatest. God knows everything you do.

So for me that is to do the will of God. But also we should read the Quran and follow like its stated also.

You submit to "God's will" (as you call it) by understanding the purpose of being and then fulfill what was set to be overcome in the world. The world is "programmed" to corrupt its inhabitants and so to say "consume them". Reject to let it consume you and you submit to what God willed for people to fulfill in terms of criteria for salvation.

In general I think we agrre. Just I still claiming to the keywords Submit to the will of God.
I just afraid to be led astray if I follow my own intuition only

And the word Islam does not mean submission, it does mean soundness. If you greet someone with Salam you do not tell them "submit!" you wish them "be healthy!". Same is that the creed of Islam means to be sound, of a sane mind.

Okay. You may be right. But then we should follow a combination of Islam (sane mind) and Lords Prayer (Submission to the will of God)

All the best and God bless you.

    Hi Andrewsarchus

All your words change the fact that the spider has the weakest house. Like also Quran also states.

I saw you impyed that it had to do with the family/social spider, and not house
And you claimed that there was nothing like a social spider. Also here I have to correct you https//en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Social_spider

. As I tried to explain, in our definitions ALL spiders are animals; but in the Qur'an El-'Ankeboot is not Daabbet (count its legs).
Also, our definition ALL birds are animals; but Et-Tayr are not Daabbet.

    Hi
    Okay.

I understand your theory. I just testing its solidity.
Like Can you be more specific where it should be mentioned as not animal (Daabbet) in Quran.

#notall is what I'm talking about. It sounds as our definitions (el-Esma&#039 and Allah's definitions (El-Esma&#039 differ. This is why I mentioned ayet from surah en-Noor (2445), in which we were told about ALL "daabbet"

    1. created of water
    2. some of them move on their bellies
    3. some of them move on 2 legs
    4. some of them move on 4 legs.

    Our (common) understanding includes this

    1. human is created of water - this is wrong, human was made of something else, but its body contains a lot of water
    2. "daabbet" are animals
    3. spiders are animals, so they're amongs "daabbet" - I counted more then 4 legs
    4. birds are animals too
      and so on...

    Hi Aladin.

    1. All animal reproduction in fact needs water.

2-4 I cant see it should be wrong. Due to it says some...

Oh lookie,What do we have here?
A male primate with a hint of humor, maybe.

I bet an Incredible tornado would make short work of a human's house. So the human abode is very very weak for an incredible tornado, yes? Just don't change the reality, the house is very very weak. ;D

    Hi Andreewsarchus
Yes I actually found that fact funny. Why did it had to be stretched when it was that simple!

But in the manner of comparing it with a human house you are wrong. A human house isnt in general a weak construction, that needs to be build up over and over again.
Otherwise I think that God would have made us with the ability to spit it out one way or another.
