1693 If Allah so willed, He could make you all one people But He leaves straying whom He pleases, and He guides whom He pleases but ye shall certainly be called to account for all your actions.

I donot understand what the above verse means. Probably , with the Free-Minds way of combining many verses from different parts in the Quran, it might mean something else.

But if i am to take this sentence literally, it would mean that Allah has the power to guide whom he pleases, and leave the straying as he pleases.

Dont you think that its a little interference on our free will ? There is a chance that you might be guided or not. How do we know whether we are guided ? If guided is it our duty to try and save those who are not guided ?
