free will would apply to conscious decision, while I refer to the truly innocent, without any choice as to the misery they suffer, a small child starving to death alone, a child tortured to death over months, children forced to work as prostitutes from three or four, so raped day after day, children blinded or maimed to work as beggars, this demonstrates no free will, it is the will of a slave master or Jinn (hidden) sovereign, the thoughts, development, will of the child is without power to alter the reality they suffer.

as for preconceptions, the Quran in several numerous descriptions of Jinns in many contexts
does not leave much room but to accept that they are beings, albeit from another realm time/space
continuum adjacent/contiguous to ours, it is like us living in 2D and them in 3D so they have an extra edge,
but it could be far more complex, especially if as it has been put forward by some, they are plasma beings.
Of course you are very materialistic and minimalistic in your views so whatever you cannot see, or break

I am the opposite, looking at things as possibilities, otherwise, why do I believe in Allah whom I do not see,
it is not such a big leap that if He advises me that there are beings out there who are beyond the frequency range of

and they are able to lower their frequencies to morph into our realm to manipulate when/if they can.

Not a very good translation, research ayn-lam-miim -root of aaleemun (knowledge). Qadeer, the root is qaf-dal-ra. The translation you are using doesn't even translate qadeer in 4229 for example. Heck, not a single translation I have seen translates this word.

What I fail to understand if Satan is our ego and our evil side

No, satan wasn't evil from the beginning. He made this choice; he wants to prove he is better than us. Even he fears God; he disowns us (5916). God does not order evil, according to 728. This is said right after the adam-satan story. 479 says that anything good is from God, and anything bad is from our nafs.
