Peace be upon you all,
As I continue exploring the Quranic message, one question keeps coming to mind To what extent is divine guidance dependent on God's will, and to what extent does it rely on our own efforts and sincerity?
Several verses mention that “God guides whom He wills” (e.g., 2272, 2856), while others emphasize that those who strive in His cause are guided (2969). How can we reconcile these two perspectives?
Is guidance a passive gift, or the result of active inner commitment?
How can we distinguish between a test and true misguidance caused by our shortcomings?
Does the Quran offer concrete steps to remain open to true guidance?
I recently came across this insightful page that gathers several reflections on divine guidance in Islam whyislam(dot)org/fr/tag/divine-guidance It helped me understand some aspects better, though I’m still eager to hear your views based on the Quran alone.
I’d love to read your thoughts, experiences, or insights on this topic.
Thank you in advance for your contributions. May our search for truth always remain sincere and humble.
Peace,
