And there are plenty of more pages which suggest that in 1st world western nations, men are more abused by women than vice versa.
You are joking right? That's the funniest statement I have ever heard in my life! rotfl

Thank you everyone for responding to my message. I guess what I am trying to understand is that if God has promised us perfect happiness, then why are we not happy? Why are there people in this world facing so many hardships?
Hello everyone,
I have a question regarding the prophet and his wives. Verse 3351 says
"You may gently shun any one of them, and you may bring closer to you any one of them. If you reconcile with any one you had estranged, you commit no error. In this way, they will be pleased, will have no grief, and will be content with what you equitably offer to all of them. GOD knows what is in your hearts. GOD is Omniscient, Clement.".
My question as commented by Myr is that why did God give the prophet the green light to do whatever he wanted with his wives. I am by no way disrespecting God's decision or the prophet, but if read from the point of view of today's modern person, doesn't what Myr said seem true - that God did give Muhammed the green light to do whatever he wanted with his wives? I am just wondering.
God be praised.
Greetings and Peace,
I have a question along the same lines as the subject matter of this post. Are these the only four categories of creatures that God has created
1.) Angels
2.) Jinns
3.) Humans
4.) Animals
Forgot to add this How come we can only see animals and not the angels and jinns? Your opnions?
God be praised.
Peace,

Should one recite God's words back to God in prayer?
What would be the point for doing this?

My point exactly, yet that is what the Sunni world calls prayer.
I am actually struggling a bit with the prayer issue, but I see from majority of the posts here that people have gotten too fed up with this topic being repeated again and again.
I honestly don't see a point to offering contact prayers in a language I don't even understand. It seems futile. I might as well be "praying" in Latin or Hebrew and it would have made no difference. Seems like blind faith to just follow without questioning.
If God so wills, I'll study the prayer in detail soon.
God be praised.
Very wise words JHamza!
God be praised.
I am pondering what prayer is?
I believe prayer is a clear communication between God and an individual. Should one recite God's words back to God in prayer? Should this prayer be a plea asking God for material and non-material gains? Should prayer simply glorify God and ask for nothing else? Should prayer be done in the language of the scripture? Or, can a prayer be a combination of all these and more?
God be praised.
Absolutely, GOD's allies have nothing to fear, nor will they grieve.
They are those who believe and lead a righteous life.
For them, joy and happiness in this world, as well as in the Hereafter. This is GOD's unchangeable law. Such is the greatest triumph.
Reading these verses, I am wondering, there are several people who believe (yes, true monotheism) and lead a righteous life but are not happy nor are their lives filled with pure joy. Is this is God's unchangeable law or do "happiness and joy" mean something completley different than the way we humans comprehend these two words?
We addressed the Children of Israel in the scripture "You will commit gross evil on earth, twice. You are destined to fall into great heights of arrogance.
"When the first time comes to pass, we will send against you servants of ours who possess great might, and they will invade your homes. This is a prophecy that must come to pass.
"Afterwards, we will give you a turn over them, and will supply you with a lot of wealth and children; we will give you the upper hand.
"If you work righteousness, you work righteousness for your own good, but if you commit evil you do so to your own detriment. Thus, when the second time comes to pass, they will defeat you and enter the masjid, just as they did the first time. They will wipe out all the gains you had accomplished."
I'd like your understanding on these verses, please
Thank you.
