Shirk in the Koran is the belief in more than one God. There is more to it than that. It is also shirk if you call on other people in your prayers/mention their names. Eg. when you call on Muhammad in your prayers you are commiting shirk, when you recite the at-tahiyatu and sunni shahada you are commiting shirk (and also, by reciting the sunni shahada you are favoring Muhammad over other messengers). When you prohibit other things than God has, such as dietary restrictions it is shirk, etc. Peace

Peace be upon you, We vs God Alone? God just doesnt want you to forget who you really are, doesnt want you to forget that the breath/life of God is the essence of our being that is breathed into us. There is One God manifest as the many beings of creation, same way your one body is manifest as many molecles with thier own existence. Man was created to serve God, to be the vessel of that "breath" and to manifest God Like character(image) upon which we were created. This is the WE...The One God operating through Its manifestations.

Peace to al, I have to agree we owe a bit of thanks to Rashid Khalifa, i knew absolutely nothing about Islam or Quran until I converted, the first time I ever read the Quran was online and at submission org, i didnt even know there was a difference between hadeeth following muslim and us Quran alone at the time, when I read the Quran at submission I converted with tears in my eyes, i knew it was the truth and still is, so I do thank Khailfa, i do not worship him, i do not even really think he is the messenger of Quran as some say he is, i kinda believe in code 19 or at least I believe it could be true because it would be easy for God to do if he wanted to, but im not a mathamatician and im sure if some math genius were to try to tell me the code is wrong i would probably believe him too, bu if he told me the Quran is not from God I would never believe him, no matter how many math codes he uses to prove it.
