Peace What should be the most appropriate translations of the word alghaybi in the verse 3179 from the following translations ? Future which is beyond reach of human perception Unseen The Monotheist Group 3179 God was not to leave the believers as they were without distinguishing the rotten from the good. And God was not to let you know the future, but God chooses from His messengers whom He wishes; so believe in God and His messengers. And if you believe and are righteous, then you will have a great reward. Muhammad Asad 3179 It is not God's will to abandon the believers to your way of life to that end He will set apart the bad from the good. And it is not God's will to give you insight into that which is beyond the reach of human perception but God elects whomsoever He wills from among His apostles.Believe, then, in God and His apostles; for if you believe and are conscious of Him, a magnificent requital awaits you. Shabbir Ahmed 3179 God will not leave the believers as you are, until He distinguishes what is evil from what is good. But God will not let you know the secrets of the Unseen. God chooses His messengers to receive knowledge of the Unseen as He wills. So, believe in God and His messengers. If you believe and do right, yours will be a great reward. Peace Abdullah

Peace be with you all. Could someone please explain the difference between bi'i / in 304 and maddtin / in 2184. They both appear to mean a number that is either several or few? Although it has been suggested that Ma'dudatin is a preparation rather than a number or count. The reason I am asking, is because I am trying to understand how many days we should actually be fasting for during Ramadan. sun

Salam Friends, Are the following verses addressed to the blessed Muhammad or mankind in general? 876 By degrees We will teach you to declare the message, so you will not forget, 877 Except what God wills, for He knows what is manifest and what is hidden. Many translators assume that they are addressed to Muhammad and while trying to explain it, end up with the theory of abrogation. 876 , We shall teach you and you will not forget?? 877 unless God wishes; He knows both what is open and what is hidden?? Would appreciate a better and clear understanding. Thanks.

Dear All, Salaam 5728 O you who believe! be careful of (your duty to) Allah and believe in His Messenger He will give you two portions of His mercy, and make for you a light with which you will walk, and forgive you, and Allah is Forgiving, Merciful; Upon reading this verse, I am wondering if it is addressing those who came to believe in Allah, Muhammad (PBUH) and The Quran, or has it been addressed to those who believed in previous Messengers (Ahl e Kitab)? Why would Muslims be asked to believe when they already believed? Muhammad Asad has translated the verse in a slightly different way 5728 O YOU who have attained to faith!*Remain conscious of God, and believe in His Apostle, He will grant you doubly of His grace, and will light for you a light wherein you shall walk, and will forgive you for God is much-forgiving, a dispenser of grace. In his foot note to this verse he writes "...* As is evident from the preceding passage as well as from verse 29, the people thus addressed are the followers of earlier revelation (ahl al-kitab), and in particular the true - i.e., unitarian - followers of Jesus..." If this verse is asking the believers (Muslims) to fear Allah and believe in His apostle then Allah makes a promise to them. Looking at the Muslim world we find majority Muslims fear Allah and believe in His Apostle but still they are not doing too well in the world. Would appreciate comments from my respected brothers and sisters. Thanks. Mubashir

Peace 6146 For those who are Jewish, We forbade all that have claws; and from the cattle and the sheep We forbade their fat except what is attached to the back, or entrails, or mixed with bone. That is a punishment for their rebellion, and We are truthful. I have no idea if "claws" was first understood, or "undivided hoofs", which is also used in many translations http//www.internetmosque.net/read/english_translation_of_the_quran_meaning/6/146/index.htm How do we know that "claws" is the right translation, or "undivided hoofs"? muscle Salam All, Quran says "Ahana ul khaliqeen" that means "Allah is the better craeter among all other creaters"well if this translation is correct, then who are the other creators?may be a woman who thinks she is the creater of her baby,or may be the person who created the atomic bomb.People do create things some time very complicated like computer or OS like windows of microsoft.Am I right? quran also says that allah is "khai rur raziqeen" which again means "Allah is a better than others who provide us food,so there are other food providers too, like farmers, husbands for their wives and children,Am I right.

Peace all. Not sure if this idea has been discussed recently. Given the 'Al Quran' is after all defined as 'The Recitation', a crucial part of this is that which is held in memory. Could we get closer to the original unaltered version by seeking out relatively remote communities that have passed on this Recitation solely by word of mouth? There are clearly no guarantees that this process would yield anything better than what we have today, as there would clearly have been cross-communication between these communities, perhaps exposure to written sources etc etc, however it may be a fruitful endeavour. Just a thought!

I have brought the post-1 on the thread AnNisa--meaning--ask Qur'aan. Salaam Mazhar, Thank you for your post. I understand in a different way, not as sons. is a singular form of and it means "build/make/construct" not "son". Please take a look at the following aayaats. 6611 6611 And Allah presents an example of those who believed the wife of Pharaoh, when she said, "My Lord, build for me near You a house in Paradise and save me from Pharaoh and his deeds and save me from the wrongdoing people." 4036 4036 And Pharaoh said, "O Haman, construct for me a tower that I might reach the ways - 436 436 Worship Allah and associate nothing with Him, and to parents do good, and to relatives, orphans, the needy, the near neighbor, the neighbor farther away, the companion at your side, the traveler, and those whom your right hands possess. Indeed, Allah does not like those who are self-deluding and boastful. Look at the translation, no translation for nor . Please take a look at other translations also by clicking here. 546 546 And We sent, following in their footsteps, Jesus, the son of Mary, confirming that which came before him in the Torah; and We gave him the Gospel, in which was guidance and light and confirming that which preceded it of the Torah as guidance and instruction for the righteous. I think we may need to understand the meaning of , then inshaAllah, it may help us understand the meaning of . May Allah increase our knowledge and guide us to His only path mmKhan Salamun alaika, Two words, coloured red, are verbs---also you have translated as imperative second person masculine signular verb. Verbs never take Kasra--genitive sign; here there is a genitive sign at the end. Reason The last delicate consonant "ya" is elided evident by genitive sign. Please see other 34 occurrences of this singular noun---it is always first noun of Possessive phrase because the word itself is relational. Therefore, no other meanings except---son/sons of----- Also pl pay attention to the verb whose object is its plural

Salam all Question about 28.9 289 Now the wife of Pharaoh said ?A joy to the eye for me and thee! Slay him not he may well be of use to us, or we may adopt him as a son!" And they had no presentiment .M.Asad search on tafsir.org And the woman of Pharaoh said He will be a comfort to our eyes for me and for thee. Kill him not. Perhaps he may profit us or we may take him to ourselves as a son. But they are not aware. Until now everything clear. Now on Azhar shools (primary and secondary and university) they are teaching an other Tafsir and Tajwiid- they dont stop after the word wa lak (and for thee) they stop after the following La and give the Quran so a new meaning So the translation is not 'he will be a comfort to our eyes for me and for thee... " it's new "he will be a comfort to our eyes for me and for thee NOT. (the LA from the following phrase) and then they must put the LA again inside to recite further la taqlabuhu ... Kill him not. My question anybody knows about this practice before and what you are thinking about it? yes i forget to tell the explanaition for this introduction it is written in the tafsir, that Musa peace open him was mutiled from Pharao when he was young and for this, he couldn't speak well after. They said, that pharao was never happy with Musa even not as child. From where they get this story? Maybe from the OT? Anybody knows more? thanks. Salam

BIsmillah alrahmanir raheem.... Shifts (of angels) take turns, staying with each one of you--they are in front of you and behind you. They stay with you, and guard you in accordance with GOD's commands. Thus, GOD does not change the condition of any people unless they themselves make the decision to change. If GOD wills any hardship for any people, no force can stop it. For they have none beside Him as Lord and Master.

Even in causal discussion and belief most common as well Muslim scholars will say about the concept of god in Islam. Can?t have any physical or mental form and shape or image. He is one and only. Nothing is like him Human brain is incapable of comprehending and understanding him. Then they also believe and tell that they believe Allah is such a god, but they fail to admit and comprehend that Allah as they understand it is a deity for worship and has, Chosen to house in Kabba in Mecca He likes to be worshipped by certain rituals He has certain personal likings and disliking He can be pleased and made angry by certain acts He has revealed himself and talked to certain chosen ones. Sits on pulpit in 7th sky, and on and on. Now please tell me, if above concept creates contradictions or following linguistic meaning of word Allah is more consistent. Allah = Allathi La Illah = ?One who is not at all a deity for worship?. Badar

The First Atlas of Clouds in Qur'aan. Muna'fi'qeen a peculiar segment of Muslim society who make false and deceptive pronouncement of having become believers. True believers can know their inner self, and apparent conduct from the parable and metaphors which are used by knowledgeable persons and scientists to verbally portray the invisible secrets for perception and visualization by masses and ordinary people like me. They are explained by Supercell Thunderstorm. People think Supercell Thunderstorm the most dangerous weather condition. But this is only a local phenomenon. Qur'aan tells that Cloud is subjected to managability. Advanced countries are gradually attaining control to manage things. Only one Cloud in the Atlas of Clouds of Qur'aan is where the Man-humanity is addressed subtly challengingly and threateningly, showing that it is the only cloud having global implications. The First Atlas of Clouds in Qur'aan. It is welcome if one improves it and renders it further simple. Thanks.

Or is it the only reason they are taken to be forbidden is because the quran is translated like that? 6145 Say, "I do not find within that which was revealed to me forbidden to one who would eat it unless it be a dead animal or blood spilled out or the flesh of swine - for indeed, it is impure - or it be disobedience, dedicated to other than Allah. But whoever is forced, neither desiring nor transgressing, then indeed, your Lord is Forgiving and Merciful." peace
