Dear All, a brother has asked the following question to those who believe that Salat is more than ritual prayer to prove that the word Salat was used for activities other than prayer " i have said prove me that Salat mean Nizam without using your own version of understanding of some Quranic verses. you can use history, poetry of that time, literature, hadiths .. whatever but prove me that there was a time when majority of Arabs use to call Salat as System " Can some one help answer this question please? Please give references from poetry of that time, literature, hadith, history. Thanks.

( connector of clause meaning ?as well? here it is used as preposition due context meaning ?from? explained in An Naas a noun at measure/ of and root is meanings ?darkness? it is a conjunct or time adverb, meaning ?when or whenever? and gives future meaning to even past. 3rd person past perfect verb, root meaning ?it prevail?) Surah 1134 As well, from the bewitching charm of wrongdoings, injustice, corruption and wickedness in the judgment, management and conducting, regulating or ordering of affairs. Surah 1135 As well, from envying, wrongdoer, unjust, corrupt and wicked, whenever feeling envy. Surah 103 1 I think of the gift for safety. ?Waw? is usually used as conjunct. It is also consider as a letter for swearing and in fact in modern Arabic still it is used for this purpose. However, Wright points out more uses and meanings as ?I think of?, ?I remember? ?O that!? (Wright VOL. 2 page 217 rem at the bottom of the page). A definite noun from root, usually translated as ?time?. Although, this meaning is also present in lexicon. However, if one were to pay close attention to root meanings there is no meaning that even comes close to meaning of time. Literal meaning is ?he squeezed it? or ?extracted the juice?. This root tropically also means ?a gift? as well means ?protection?. These two meanings are chosen due to context of other Suras so far. Surah 103 2 Indeed, it needs to be preserved from being lost or circumvented. An accusative particle meaning, ?indeed, certainly surely?. It is usually considered a definite noun from root meaning ?man? or even mankind. Since having a definite article at the beginning would limit the scope or define its meaning to only certain man. Which would not fit the purpose and meaning traditionally considered as correct, a grammatical rule was created. The rule is that, this ?al? is a defining ?al?, for whole of the genus. Hence here it would mean ?the whole mankind?, instead of just ?the man?. This appears an attempt to make grammar rule to rationalize already established meaning and not to get to real meanings by following the rules of grammar. (Unfortunately, this whole mind frame of current Muslims is a major problem and hurdle in understanding Quran. They accept and staunchly believe that current translation of Quran is the real Quran. This even applies to followers of Quran only. They are willing to accept another person?s translation as authority without considering that the person in question no mater how well intended. He was not able to finish the task of translation of whole of the quran). Despite all this jargon about explaining the ?al? at the beginning, there is no form/measure to explain this construct as a noun in the language. However, if it were to be considered a verb of form VII from root and middle ?waw? changing into ?elif? due ?ajwaf? rule of weak verb. Also the first letter is substituted with . Its actually shape should be without substitution of first letter. With such substitution allowed in the language it became . The ?al? here is contraction of ?Allathi? just like in ?Allah?. Having escaped from becoming the prey of a lioness, such donkeys are in a state described by . It should be remembered that donkeys are not flight animal. They are approaching from your right and left side in small groups. Is it that by approaching you in fear and docility each of them vehemently hopefully desires that he might be caused entry in a Paradise of Delight? is Active Participle Indefinite; masculine; sound plural; accusative; . The disclosure of information, about something, which is in a concealed, obscured, hidden, covered or wrapped state that comes to the knowledge of a listener/reader for the first time, is but "breaking news" for him. The act of breaking the news occurs only once. Certainly, it is no coincidence that the word from this Root has occurred only once in the Grand Qur'aan. The context is about explaining the rationale and objective of gradual and intermittent revelation of Grand Qur'aan. This was to answer with regard to oral propaganda and questioning of people by the non-believers that why and for what reason the Qur'aan has not been sent to him, Muhammad Sal'lallaa'hoalaih'wa'salam, in one go, as a complete bound book. I feel pleased that the non-believers had raised this question before people, though with bad intention of creating confusion, because the response has disclosed the first priority of Allah, the Exalted. The assurance was that whatever the people might ask from him, the best breaking news about that would have reached him prior to floating of the question or query or proposition. This assurance was reflective of the fact that need be every thing will be disclosed to the Elevated Messenger, Sal'lallaa'hoalaih'wa'salam. Question Is it proper, as some Muslims do, to address Muhammad (S) as "Master?" 379 Never would a human being, whom Allah has blessed with the Scripture, Wisdom and Prophethood, thereafter say to people, ?Be servants of me instead of Allah.? Rather, he would say, ?Become true devotees of the Lord since you learn and teach the Book and study it as it should be studied. Response Muhammad(saw) for many Muslim is what Quran says. Quran says He(saw) has more rights on believers than their own Nafs. Ownership of Nafs is far more than just Servant-Master relation. A Master can own body of servant but not his soul and nafs. A Master can own the body of a servant as long as he is living...the moment he is dead proprietary rights are finished...Mohammad(saw) own the believers even after their and His(saw) own worldly death. I hope this bunch of Qur'anists understand the meanings of NAFS. Besides Quran says "your Wali is Allah and His Apostle..........." Those who call Mohammad "Mowla" exactly following Quran....Those who deny, are playing with Quran. Since there cannot be a contradiction in the Qur'an, what then is the correct interpretation of relationship between Muhammad (S) and his followers both back when he was alive and today? Thanks.

Is this not a blessing from Allah SWT that He has made our Deen easy for us by asking us to avoid asking questions about unnecessry details? Does this not show that if important, will be made available for us in the Qur'an? Why do we then, need to run after "details" outside the Qur'an and then are asked to observe the following through "Sunnah" Reported Sunnahs of Our Beloved Prophet Muhammad Sunnahs of Eating x Sit and eat on the floor. x Spread out a cloth on the floor first before eating. x Wash both hands up to the wrists. x Recite "Bismillah wa'la barakatillah' aloud. (It is also noted by one great scholar Maulana Saeed Ahmad Khan Saheb Rahmatullah alaihe that we never say Bismillah before taking tea). Drinking should also be by right hand at all cost. x Eat with the right hand. x Eat from the side that is in front of you. x If a morsel of food falls down, pick it up, clean it and eat it. x Do not lean and eat. x Do not find fault with the food. x Remove your shoes before eating. x When eating, sit with either both knees on the ground or one knee raised or both knees raised. x Clean the plate and other utensils thoroughly after eating. x By doing this, the utensils make dua for one's forgiveness. x Recite dua after eating. x First remove the food then get up x After meals wash both the hands. x Thereafter gargle the mouth. x Whilst eating one should not remain completely silent. x Eat with three fingers if possible.. x One should not eat very hot food. x Do not blow on the food. x After eating one should lick his fingers. Sunnahs of drinking x A Muslim should drink with the right hand. x Shaytaan Drinks with the left hand. x Sit and drink. x Recite "Bismillah" before drinking. x After drinking say " Alhamdullilah". x Drink in 3 breaths removing the utensil from the mouth after each sip. x Do not drink directly from the jug or bottle. x One should pour the contents into a glass first and then drink. Assalam alaikum brothers in Islam. I am not very learned in Arabic language, and I would like to ask any of you Arabic language experts who is able to read the Quran to answer the following questions. How many times the word "Sultan" appears in the Arabic Quran? Please quote the verses where the word "Sultan" appears. This word "Sultan" means Authority, thus, can it mean a republican authority like Syrian Arab Republic, or an absolute monarchy like Saudi Arabia? If we establish a Jamaah, can the leader (Imam) of the Jamaah be called a Sultan?

The Man was seen off from the Paradise for his sojourn in the Earth with the promise that the Guidance will keep coming for shaping and training their life to come back to Paradise not as guest but having earned it as a permanent abode. Thereby (do not feel disappointed/frustrated), when Guidance/Guide comes to you people from Me; thereat whoever acted upon My Guidance , in letter and spirit without there being some third party intervention, consequently, for reason of this conduct, neither fear shall overshadow/haunt upon them; nor shall they ever have cause to grieve. Thereby (do not feel disappointed/frustrated), when Guidance/Guide comes to you people from Me, thereat whosoever consciously inclined himself to act upon My Guidance in letter and spirit-such manner that nothing else influences in between, thereby/for this reason neither would he go stray/neglectful/unrewarded nor would he face any trouble/difficulty/inconvenience". Be informed that, group of common people of them-Bani Iesraa'eel retains the peculiar trait of persistently not knowing/ascertaining and acquiring knowledge of the contents of the Revealed Book. They are, however, aware with regard to the Revealed Book only such wishful/hopeful fascinating hearsay/conjectural myths made popular and widespread in society. As such, they the common people, keep doing/knowing nothing except conjecturing/supposing/assuming the widespread/popular material as being from the Revealed Book. Traditional Translations The important error in these translations is that the predicate of the Arabic Nominal Sentence is not only missing but the Adjectival trait has been made as the predicate, which has caused the distortion in the perception and thought conveyed in the Arabic text. Sahih International And among them are unlettered ones who do not know the Scripture except in wishful thinking, but they are only assuming. Pickthall Among them are unlettered folk who know the Scripture not except from hearsay. They but guess. Yusuf Ali And there are among them illiterates, who know not the Book, but (see therein their own) desires, and they do nothing but conjecture. Shakir And there are among them illiterates who know not the Book but only lies, and they do but conjecture. Muhammad Sarwar Some of them are illiterate and have no knowledge of the Book except for what they know from legends and fantasy. They are only relying on conjecture. Mohsin Khan And there are among them (Jews) unlettered people, who know not the Book, but they trust upon false desires and they but guess. Arberry And some there are of them that are common folk not knowing the Book, but only fancies and mere conjectures. This is an inverted nominal sentence. The normal style is that Subject comes first and is definite in nominative case. The principle of predicate is that it is indefinite. The indefinite noun is permissible to occur as Subject when it is modified by an adjective or likewise, when it is particularized from another perspective. The predicate , which can be a single word, or a complete sentence, is next in sequence. When it is an entire sentence, that sentence will have its own structure and all the rules will apply to it as well. The predicate may also be elided when the subject is followed by a prepositional or adverbial phrase reflective of and necessitating the elision of predicate. A prepositional or adverbial phrase can never be the subject of a nominal sentence. When these two entities appear in the beginning, a place reserved for the subject, they are in fact related to the predicate . Why this sentence is in the inverted order? The normal structuring of a nominal sentence may be inverted to achieve rhetorical benefit. There are a few situations in which inverting the structure is prohibited, and there are others in which inverting the structure actually becomes mandatory. One such mandatory situation is when the subject/topic to be talked about is purely indefinite and the predicate is a prepositional or adverbial phrase. This Unitary Verbal Passage/Ayah begins with , the Recommencing particle. It is a discourse coordinator, that signals the speaker's identification of an upcoming unit which is coordinate in structure to prior unit.
