, particle, has 340 occurrences and is ordinarily translated with English words "and", or "then" by considering it synonym/synonymous {,} of "" and "". But, Grand Qur'an has explained and used it in a manner distinct in all respects from "" and "". The word "and" or "then" as a substitute of """"are conjunction, denoting order and a delay giving the perception of a sequence "after that, afterwards, next, as a consequence". It also gives informal perception of "in addition to, as well as, along with, coupled with, combined with, furthermore, likewise". And it reflects the relationship of cause and effect. Both these English words and the Arabic particles reflect a sequence of happenings/things which are interrelated. And one does not perceive the distance of time between the two things mentioned before and after the use of word "and" or "then". It reflects the continuity in the two things conjunct by them though delay in the order of happenings is evident with respect to the thing occurring after them in relation to the one occurring before them. But particle is used in a distinct manner. It occurs as conjunction between two things different from each other in nature and reflects a break and time gap between both, not continuity. It does not reflect the perception of relationship of cause and effect. At its very first occurrence in the Quran, the meanings of it have been made quite evident, vivid and distinct???.. http//haqeeqat.org.pk/English%20Tafsir%20e%20Haqeeqat/002.%20Meanings%20and%20Tabweeb%20of%20words/Dhumma%20%20Summa/001.%20SUMMA.htm I solicit comments, views and suggestions for corrections, improvements

Peace People, http//www.safarmer.com/Indo-Eurasian/Walid_Saleh.pdf Interesting article - didn't read all of it, though. There is a lot of information about understanding words in the quran, and the various fallacies researches have fallen for whilst trying to find the right meaning. Nadeem

What does it imply? 009.005 YUSUFALI But when the forbidden months are past, then fight and slay the Pagans wherever ye find them, an seize them, beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them in every stratagem (of war); but if they repent, and establish regular prayers and practise regular charity, then open the way for them for Allah is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful. PICKTHAL Then, when the sacred months have passed, slay the idolaters wherever ye find them, and take them (captive), and besiege them, and prepare for them each ambush. But if they repent and establish worship and pay the poor-due, then leave their way free. Lo! Allah is Forgiving, Merciful. SHAKIR So when the sacred months have passed away, then slay the idolaters wherever you find them, and take them captives and besiege them and lie in wait for them in every ambush, then if they repent and keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate, leave their way free to them; surely Allah is Forgiving, Merciful. 95 When the four Sacred Months are over and if the idolaters are still aggressing, (neither becoming law-abiding citizens of the State, nor emigrating), subdue them whichever tribe they may belong to, take them captive, and besiege them, and prepare for them each ambush. But if they repent from aggression, and help in the consolidation of the Divine System and in setting up the Just Economic Order of Zakat, then leave their way free. Verily, Allah is Forgiving Merciful (so shall you be).

Hi, I'm thinking of printing some copies of the message and giving them to a book publisher http//www.printpal.com.au/index.php?pageId=65 (these guys are very flexible in the amount you can print) To print a couple of copies for me and my family, and maybe if there is spare to donate to some libraries or wherever I see fit. I was wondering if there is the "printable" book copy of the .doc because the one I have is A4 sized and I am not sure if it will be readable when shrunk to book size. Anyway do you guys think it will be cheaper printing them myself or ordering lots of copies from Amazon? Also if its cheaper, how do I reduce the page from A4 to readable book sized pages. Thanks Al

Learned Harun Yayha, in beautifully pictured books, has opined The word "heavens", which appears in many verses in the Qur'an, is used to refer to the sky above the Earth, as well as the entire universe. Given this meaning of the word, it is seen that the Earth's sky, or the atmosphere, is made up of seven layers.(Layers of Atmosphere-Miracles of Quran-Harun Yahya) The opinion of Harun Yahya doesn?t seem correct for the reason that Quran e Majeed segregates (Fusse lat) one thing from the other, and moreover it is not in consonance with the vastness of Arabic language to fall short of words to explain two different things with same word. Layers of atmosphere are just a matter of 480 to 960 km, whereas we do not know the vastness of ever expanding skies. After creating earth and everything on it, next step/action was about the ALREADY existing/created one sky. Sum mas tawa_ ilas sama_i wa hiya duka_nun Afterwards, He Comprehended in His design the sky and it was smoke (cluster of gas) faqa_la laha_ wa lil arditiya_ tauan au karha_ qa_lata_ ataina_ ta_ i in {Ref 4111} He said to the sky and to the earth "Come ye together willingly (attractively) or unwillingly (expelling)" Both said "We do come together like those who come near with affection " Faqada_hun na saba sama_wa_ti fi yaumaini And He in two Days converted the SKY into seven firmaments (layers one above the other) wa auha_ fi kul li sama_ in amraha_ And He assigned duty/work to each layer of sky. wa zay yan nas sama_ ad dun ya_ bi masa_biha wa hifza_ {Ref 4112} And We adorned the lower sky with COMETS and guarded it safe. Wa laqad zayan nas sama_ adun ya_ bimasa_biha wa ja'alna_ha_ ruju_mal lisyaya_tini {Ref And We have certainly adorned the sky of earth with COMETS and We have made them source of stoning Evil Ones (who come there to listen something){Ref 67.05} masa_biha does not mean Lamps, Stars It means shining hairy one and this is more accurate description, name, tashbeah than comets given by Greek people because of its appearance to naked eye. In na_ zay yan nas sama_ ad dun ya_ bizinatinil kawa_kib We have indeed decked the lower sky with PLANETS (Ref 376) This was about one sky of Dunniya, our solar system. Therefore, it cannot be inferred that seven skies refer to seven layers of atmosphere. Quran e Majeed makes a very tall claim ma_ farratna_ fil kita_bi min syai'in ?Nothing have We omitted from the Book? (Refer 638} Let us find the mention of seven layers of atmosphere. After informing about the creation of man, his end and then raising him on the Day of Judgment, Allah informed us Wa laqad khalaqna_ fauqakum saba tara_iq wa ma_ kun na_ anil halqi ga_filin And before time We had created above you seven tracts; and We are never unmindful of Our Creation. {Ref 2317} Wa banaina_ fauqakum saban syida_da And (have We not) built over you the seven firmaments_{Ref 7811} Allah says he is not unmindful of his creation. Why were these Seven Taraiq, made Wa ja'alna_ sira_jaw wah ha_ja__{Ref 7812} Since we had made son (siraj is shams) as Wahaja(n) These layers of atmosphere protect us from Wahaja(n) nature of the son. May Allah be happy with everyone here.

Salaams All, How do we know who is listening to us? Or do we just pray to our feelings? If so are our feelings our God or something? And the following, as people have pointed out, is a totally floored translation. ?And the temples are for God, so do not call on anyone with God.? (The Message 721 072.018 "And the places of worship are only for Allah, so pray not unto anyone along with Allah. " Marmaduke Pickthall 072 18. "And that the mosques are Allah's, therefore call not upon any one with Allah" Muhammed Shakir 072.018 "And the places of worship are for God (alone) So invoke not any one along with God; Yusuf Ali Using lanes 7218 ?And that the actions/submissions/deeds are for Allah so not hasten/strive/work along with Allah to anyone. And you know what Allah is from his attributes/descriptions e.t.c Example Falamma raawhu zulfatan see-atwujoohu allatheena kafaroo waqeela hatha allatheekuntum bihi taddaAAoona At length, when they see it close at hand, grieved will be the faces of the Unbelievers, and it will be said (to them) "This is (the promise fulfilled), which ye were calling for!" ???..This is what you were hastening to or striving to or working to. AS NO ONE IN THEIR RIGHT MIND CALLS FOR HELL. I think! God Bless us.

Salaams All, Where they widows? They can't be children. This surra is depicting a time when war is rife see; 471-104. So there are a lot of widows about. So Alyatama Al-nisa? Women without a husband - widows (But as well as devorcees/singles). p624-qd. Alayama = the single (but - i think financially independent (in control)) Waankihoo al-ayamaminkum waalssaliheena min AAibadikumwa-ima-ikum in yakoonoo fuqaraa yughnihimu Allahumin fadlihi waAllahu wasiAAun AAaleemun Marry those among you who are single, or the virtuous ones among yourselves, male or female if they are in poverty, Allah will give them means out of His grace for Allah encompasseth all, and he knoweth all things. Alyatama = singles (from the context those not financially independent (thus not in control)) 004.001 YUS O mankind! reverence your Guardian-Lord, who created you from a single person, created, of like nature, His mate, and from them twain scattered (like seeds) countless men and women;- reverence Allah, through whom ye demand your mutual (rights), and (reverence) the wombs (That bore you) for Allah ever watches over you. 004.002 YUS To singles/alyatama give their wealth , do not substitute (your) worthless things for (their) good ones; and devour not their substance (by mixing it up) with your own. For this is indeed a great sin. 004.003 YUS If ye fear that ye shall not be able to deal justly with those single/alyatama , Marry (them) women of your choice, Two or three or four; but if ye fear that ye shall not be able to deal justly (with them), then only one, or (a captive) that your right hands possess, that will be more suitable, to prevent you from doing injustice. 004.004 YUS And give the women (on marriage) their dower as a free gift; but if they, of their own good pleasure, remit any part of it to you, Take it and enjoy it with right good cheer. 004.005 YUS To those weak of understanding Make not over your wealth, which Allah hath made a means of support for you, but feed and clothe them therewith, and speak to them words of kindness and justice. 004.006 YUS And (those) who sever from another - the singles/alyatama , (wait) until they are ready to marry; if then ye find sound judgment in them, release their wealth to them ; but consume it not wastefully, nor in haste against their gaining independence. If the guardian is well-off, Let him claim no remuneration, but if he is poor, let him have for himself what is just and reasonable. When ye release their property to them, take witnesses in their presence But all-sufficient is Allah in taking account. 004.007 YUS From what is left by parents and those nearest related there is a share for men and a share for women, whether the property be small or large,-a determinate share. 004.008 YUS But if at the time of division other relatives, or singles or poor, are present, feed them out of the (property), and speak to them words of kindness and justice. 004.009 YUS Let those (disposing of an estate) have the same fear in their minds as they would have for their own if they had left a helpless family behind Let them fear Allah, and speak words of appropriate (comfort). 004.010 YUS Those who unjustly eat up the property of singles/alyatama , eat up a Fire into their own bodies They will soon be enduring a Blazing Fire! 004.011 Traditional translation 127. Wayastaftoonaka fee alnnisa-iquli Allahu yufteekum feehinna wama yutlaAAalaykum fee alkitabi fee yatama alnnisa-iallatee la tu/toonahunna ma kutiba lahunnawatarghaboona an tankihoohunna waalmustadAAafeenamina alwildani waan taqoomoo lilyatama bialqistiwama tafAAaloo min khayrin fa-inna Allaha kanabihi AAaleeman They ask thy instruction concerning the women say Allah doth instruct you about them And (remember) what hath been rehearsed unto you in the Book, concerning the orphans of women to whom ye give not the portions prescribed, and yet whom ye desire to marry, as also concerning the children who are weak and oppressed that ye stand firm for justice to orphans. There is not a good deed which ye do, but Allah is well-acquainted therewith. My understanding (using lanes and qd) THEY ASK THY INSTRUCTION CONCERNING THE WOMEN say Allah doth instruct you about them And (remember) what hath been rehearsed unto you in the Book, concerning the single (finencialy dependant) women to whom ye give not the portions prescribed, and yet whom ye desire to marry, as also concerning the girls (born in servitude) who are weak and oppressed that ye stand firm for justice to those made single. There is not a good deed which ye do, but Allah is well-acquainted therewith. Alyateem = orphans. Wala taqraboo mala alyateemiilla biallatee hiya ahsanu hattayablugha ashuddahu waawfoo alkayla waalmeezana bialqistila nukallifu nafsan illa wusAAaha wa-ithaqultum faiAAdiloo walaw kana tha qurbawabiAAahdi Allahi awfoo thalikum wassakumbihi laAAallakum tathakkaroona And come not nigh to the orphan's property, except to improve it, until he attain the age of full strength; give measure and weight with (full) justice;- no burden do We place on any soul, but that which it can bear;- whenever ye speak, speak justly, even if a near relative is concerned; and fulfil the covenant of Allah thus doth He command you, that ye may remember. 2. Wala taqraboo mala alyateemiilla biallatee hiya ahsanu hattayablugha ashuddahu waawfoo bialAAahdi inna alAAahda kanamas-oolan Come not nigh to the orphan's property except to improve it, until he attains the age of full strength; and fulfil (every) engagement, for (every) engagement will be enquired into (on the Day of Reckoning). 3. Kalla bal la tukrimoonaalyateema Nay, nay! but ye honour not the orphans! 4. Faamma alyateema fala taqhar Therefore, treat not the orphan with harshness, 5. Fathalika allathee yaduAAAAualyateema Then such is the (man) who repulses the orphan (with harshness), Salaams.

Peace all, "Is it too much of a wonder that a message should come to you from your Lord, through a man like you, to warn you? Recall that He made you inheritors after the people of Noah, and multiplied your number. Remember GOD's blessings, that you may succeed." Now this phrase of the verse in bold implies that Noahs people were the only humans at that time and we multiplied staring from Noah again. Does anyone know about how long the first humans lived in Africa and if there was a flood which destroyed most of them long ago before they were reestablished? If not how would you understand this verse? GOD Bless!

Salaams Damon, All, Aajjil is doing quickly/haste throughout the quran Example Waothkuroo Allaha feeayyamin maAAdoodatin faman taAAajjala fee yawmaynifala ithma AAalayhi waman taakhkhara fala ithmaAAalayhi limani ittaqa waittaqoo Allaha waiAAlamooannakum ilayhi tuhsharoona Celebrate the praises of Allah during the Appointed Days. But if any one hastens to leave in two days, there is no blame on him, and if any one stays on, there is no blame on him, if his aim is to do right. Then fear Allah, and know that ye will surely be gathered unto Him. So the calf! 002.051 And remember We appointed forty years(of decadence) for Moses, then you took for haste(forty years) after him, and ye did grievous wrong. for in haste didst thou come forth out of the land of Egypt If so many of their children where killed and they take all the time in the world, namely forty years, isn?t that grievous wrong? God Bless All of you.

Salaams All, There is a topic on this already but it doesn't make a sense and half. O ye who believe! Be ye not like those who vexed and insulted Moses, but Allah cleared him of the (calumnies) they had uttered and he was honourable in Allah's sight. O ye who believe! Fear Allah, and (always) say a word directed to the Right That He may make your conduct whole and sound and forgive you your sins He that obeys Allah and His Messenger, has already attained the highest achievement. We did indeed offer the Trust to the Heavens and the Earth and the Mountains; but they refused to undertake it, being afraid thereof but man undertook it;- He was indeed unjust and foolish;- (With the result) that Allah has to punish the Hypocrites, men and women, and the Unbelievers, men and women, and Allah turns in Mercy to the Believers, men and women for Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. New Trans 3372 Verily did We show /propound /present duties/government and governed duties upon/to the quality and disposition of the great ones/ pharaoh and his team but they declined to take responsibility and were afraid of it and were given responsibility each person (Moses people ) and he turned out unjust, ignorant(3369-71) God Bless All.

Peace be with you I always thought Jacob and Joseph, before he was taken to Egypt in a caravan, lived in Jerusalem. Does the following verse indicate that they lived in some other location with its reference to Bedouin or desert? 12 100 Yusuf Ali And he raised his parents high on the throne (of dignity) and they fell down in prostration (all) before him. He said "O my father! this is the fulfillment of my vision of old! Allah hath made it come true! He was indeed good to me when He took me out of prison and brought you (all here) out of the desert (even) after Satan had sown enmity between me and my brothers. Verily my Lord understandeth best the mysteries of all that He planneth to do for verily He is full of knowledge and wisdom. Transliteration Wa rafa'a abawaihi 'alal 'arsyi wa kharru_ lahu_ sujjada_(n), wa qa_la ya_ abati ha_za_ ta'wilu ru'ya_yamin qabl(u), qad ja'alaha_ rabbi haqqa_(n), wa qad ahsana bi iz akhrajani minas sijni wa ja_'a bikum minal badwi mim ba'di an nazagasy syaita_nu baini wa baina ikhwati, inna rabbi latiful lima_ yasya_'(u), innahu_ huwal 'alimul hakim(u).

Salaams All, There is no east or west , and it wasn?t a physical turning but mental. 2246,320,332,363,364,489,840,992,9129,113 e.t.c Using the quranic dictionary Old 2177 It is not righteousness that ye turn your faces Towards east or West; but it is righteousness- to believe in Allah and the Last Day, and the Angels, and the Book, and the Messengers; to spend of your substance, out of love for Him, for your kin, for orphans, for the needy, for the wayfarer, for those who ask, and for the ransom of slaves; to be steadfast in prayer, and practice regular charity; to fulfil the contracts which ye have made; and to be firm and patient, in pain (or suffering) and adversity, and throughout all periods of panic. Such are the people of truth, the Allah-fearing. New 2177 It (is not) righteousness that you turn yourselves-divulging or keeping hidden but (is) righteous he who believes in Allah and the punishment of the hereafter and in the authority of those in charge and the feelings- of regret, guilt, pain, suffering and their explanations/expounding ???.. Old 137. New And we let inherit the people who were considered weak in all that they disclosed and kept hidden in/of disposition (and) bestowed blessings therein ?. e.t.c Thanks and lets follow Allah's advice and stop following the lost few. Gods Blessings on us All.
