Salaams All, just looking for an authentic view or two. Saul & David ZAWJ = COUPLE ANYTHING WITH/ PAIR/COMPANION/CLASS E.T.C After Saul loses the spirit of the lord through not following the rules of Holy War, among other things, he is told by Samuel that his dynasty has been taken away and that God has another man for the job- Namely David. DAVID SHOWS HE KNOWS WHAT THE SOLDIERS DON?T KNOW BY DEFEATING GOLIATH. Saul took David in to stay in the palace, and was pleased with his progress. David became firm friends with Jonathan, Saul's son, and they vowed to look after each other. David did everything so well that he quickly gained rank in Saul's army, and he was liked by the officers and all the people.(Thus Submitting) Saul's fears are only heightened when he returns from battle to have the women saying David is ten times the leader as Saul. Since the major role of a king is to act as war leader this is indirectly saying that David is ten times the king as Saul. 2. SAUL REFUSES TO BE OF THOSE WHO SUBMIT. From this point on Saul spends the rest of his life as king, fighting to kill David. He does not want to kill David himself, but tries to indirectly. In an effort to have David killed, Saul sends him on an expedition. If David is able to return with the foreskins of 100 Philistines then he will be given Michal (Saul's daughter) as a wife. David later uses this technique learned from Saul when trying to have Uriah killed. 3. SO THEY ARE STARTING TO EAT OF THE TREE. A relationship of father/son has turned into one of the hunter/the hunted. After a couple murder attempts during his madness, David spends the last portion of Saul's life on the run. 4. AND THROWN OUT OF JANAAT STATE OF EXISTANCE. God Blessings on all.

Salam. I don't know, if i asked this before but maybe someone with better Arabic then mine can tell me what is 531-18 talking about? I mean, i got some idea what is it talking about but is it what i think it is? Did Muhammad travel to Paradise and see it? 531 As the star descended. 532 Your friend was not astray, nor was he deceived. 533 Nor does he speak from personal desire. 534 It is a divine inspiration. 535 He has been taught by One mighty in power. 536 Free from any defect, he became stable. 537 While he was at the highest horizon. 538 Then he drew nearer by moving down. 539 Until he became as near as two bow-lengths or nearer. 5310 He then conveyed the inspiration to His servant what was to be revealed. 5311 The heart did not invent what it saw. 5312 Do you doubt him in what he saw? 5313 And indeed, he saw him in another descent. 5314 At the ultimate point. 5315 Near it is the eternal Paradise. 5316 The whole place was overwhelmed. 5317 The eyes did not waver, nor go blind. 5318 He has seen from the great signs of his Lord. Is this saying that Gabriel came down to Muhammad and Muhammad saw Gabriel and then Muhammad also saw the Paradise? Because i know that The God sends Gabriel to human messengers to tell the humans what they need to know, right? I really wanna know this. Peace.

Salaams all, So what is the quran about or what is the message to mankind from the messengers and from The God? Is it about truth? About reality? About fulfilling The Rights? It?s the third ,No doubts whatsoever. Its not a book or truth of any kind. 2176 Allah revealed a reality of justice/Haqqa/Rights but those who differed concerning it are in a schism afar. Thalika bi-anna Allahanazzala alkitaba bialhaqqi wa-inna allatheenaikhtalafoo fee alkitabi lafee shiqaqin baAAeedin (Their doom is) because Allah sent down the Book in truth but those who seek causes of dispute in the Book are in a schism Far (from the purpose). 2147 Justice from your Lord so do not be of the doubters. Alhaqqu min rabbika falatakoonanna mina almumtareena The Truth is from thy Lord; so be not at all in doubt. 12. Wamin haythu kharajta fawalliwajhaka shatra almasjidi alharami wa-innahulalhaqqu min rabbika wama Allahu bighafilinAAamma taAAmaloona From whencesoever Thou startest forth, turn Thy face in the direction of the sacred Mosque; that is indeed the truth from the Lord. And Allah is not unmindful of what ye do. 2149 And from wheresoever you are keep your attention on- actions/goings on, forbidden ; that is indeed Justice/Right claim/What ought to be FROM YOUR LORD AND NOT Allah unaware of what you do. ?????? Moses went to pharaoh to fulfil Rights of the jewish people aswell and finally he won the case with people taking his side ? and they where freed. God Bless.

3918 ?The ones who listen to what is being said, and then follow the best of it. These are the ones whom God has guided, and these are the ones who possess intelligence.? 7 145. And We wrote for him on the tablets from everything a lesson, and detailing all things. Take it with strength and order your people to take the best from it. I will show you the abode of the corrupt. I will give verse 2530 as the example. 2530 And the Messenger will say, ?O my Lord! These are my people, the ones who had made this Qur'an mahjoor." Mahjoor means in arabic; to desert, to avoid, to shun, separate oneself from, taken as nonsense, taken as of no account, immobilized it like villagers who bind a cow by tying her front foot to her horn. So which meaning is it? Let?s see which fit the context. 2530 And the Messenger will say, ?O my Lord! These are my people, the ones who had made this Qur'an of no account." 2530 And the Messenger will say, ?O my Lord! These are my people, the ones who have deserted this Qur'an ." 2530 And the Messenger will say, ?O my Lord! These are my people, the ones who treated this Qur'an as something to be avoided." 2530 And the Messenger will say, ?O my Lord! These are my people, the ones who have separated themselves from this Qur'an." 2530 And the Messenger will say, ?O my Lord! These are my people, the ones who have shunned this Qur'an." 2530 And the Messenger will say, ?O my Lord! These are my people, the ones who have taken this Qur'an as nonsense." 2530 And the Messenger will say, ?O my Lord! These are my people, the ones who have immobilized this Qur'an as a cow bound foot to horn." What to do now? They all fit! So which one do you choose? The best as is ordered in 3918. But they all are the best. So the best solution is not to choose one, but to accept them all. As mahjoor means all those things, and God chose Arabic not for nothing. I myself believe He chose Arabic exactly for this quality. It is so versatile, all the meanings can fit. So we would end up with this 2530 And the Messenger will say, ?O my Lord! These are my people, the ones who had made this Qur'an of no account, have deserted it, treated it as something to be avoided, have separated themselves from it, have shunned it, have taken it as nonsense and immobilized and fixed its meaning as a cow bound foot to horn." This verse becomes so wide in its message, and every word in it is correct. The same technique can be applied on numerous words. Not every meaning can fit in some verses, as this is determined by the context. But I hope I have made my point clear. The Arabic is to wide and to versatile to fix it to one meaning. And as clear in 2530, we are also warned not to do it.

Salam. Whenever i read this ayya in the Qur'an and it always makes me wonder what is it telling me. I mean, i canonly hope that Allah Most High, Most Wise guides me and give me knowledge to understand it. What does this mean? 053-013 And, of course, he saw Him (in His another manifestation to him) yet another time. 053-014 It was near the Sidrah which stands at the farthest end (of knowledge), 053-015 Near where also is the Garden which is the real eternal abode. Is this a code? I mean, are we here beign told where the location of Paradise is? What am i missing here? If anyone knows, please, share, with a proof from the Qur'an of course. Thanks and may Allah Most Merciful, Most Powerful rewards us all with Heaven. Salam.

Salaams all, just another view of it. Page 1612-lanes Shehrun = He made it apparent/manifest/notorious/public. Or (it generally means) He made it apparent as bad, evil, abominable, foul, or unseemly, he exposed it as such. They disliked fighting because of the evils of it ? bloodshed and all 2216 Fighting is prescribed for you, and ye dislike it. But it is possible that ye dislike a thing which is good for you, and that ye love a thing which is bad for you. But Allah knoweth, and ye know not. So the same theme and not a month- I think is continuing into the next ayah. 2217 They ask you about the forbidding evil ? of fighting , say of fighting (is) a great/ grave (thing) and preventing from way (of)Allah and disbelieving (in) Him and the submissions the forbidden and bringing forth from it (is) greater with Allah ???. Say "Fighting therein is a grave (offence); but graver is it in the sight of Allah to prevent access to the path of Allah, to deny Him, to prevent access to the Sacred Mosque, and drive out its members." Tumult and oppression are worse than slaughter. Nor will they cease fighting you until they turn you back from your faith if they can. And if any of you Turn back from their faith and die in unbelief, their works will bear no fruit in this life and in the Hereafter; they will be companions of the Fire and will abide therein. And it is not a month for a month Alshshahru alharamu bialshshahrialharami waalhurumatu qisasunfamani iAAtada AAalaykum faiAAtadoo AAalayhibimithli ma iAAtada AAalaykum waittaqoo AllahawaiAAlamoo anna Allaha maAAa almuttaqeena The prohibited month for the prohibited month,- and so for all things prohibited,- there is the law of equality. Salaams , Lanes P 1542 Quran Xvi 100 Mushriks ?Are those who obey the devil and obey the God. Alshirko ? hypocrisy. It wasn?t /isn?t because they call themselves sons of God but because they follow their anchorites instead of Allah. The Jews call 'Uzair a son of Allah, and the Christians call Christ the son of Allah. That is a saying from their mouth; (in this) they but imitate what the unbelievers of old used to say. Allah's curse be on them how they are deluded away from the Truth! They take their priests and their anchorites to be their lords in derogation of Allah, and (they take as their Lord) Christ the son of Mary; yet they were commanded to worship but One Allah there is no god but He. Praise and glory to Him (Far is He) from having the partners they associate (with Him). (Both) the Jews and the Christians say "We are sons of Allah, and his beloved." Say "Why then doth He punish you for your sins? Nay, ye are but men,- of the men he hath created He forgiveth whom He pleaseth, and He punisheth whom He pleaseth and to Allah belongeth the dominion of the heavens and the earth, and all that is between and unto Him is the final goal (of all)" It is the deeds that determine whether you are doing shirk-see the following set of ayah?s. To be a follower of any group other then being truly good/righteous is shirk? 002.135 YUSUFALI They say "Become Jews or Christians if ye would be guided (To salvation)." Say thou "Nay! (I would rather) the Religion of Abraham the True, and he joined not gods with Allah." 002.136 YUSUFALI Say ye "We believe in Allah, and the revelation given to us, and to Abraham, Isma'il, Isaac, Jacob, and the Tribes, and that given to Moses and Jesus, and that given to (all) prophets from their Lord We make no difference between one and another of them And we bow to Allah (in Islam)." 002.137 YUSUFALI So if they believe as ye believe, they are indeed on the right path; but if they turn back, it is they who are in schism; but Allah will suffice thee as against them, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing. 002.138 YUSUFALI (Our religion is) the Baptism of Allah And who can baptize better than Allah? And it is He Whom we worship. 002.139 YUSUFALI Say Will ye dispute with us about Allah, seeing that He is our Lord and your Lord; that we are responsible for our doings and ye for yours; and that We are sincere (in our faith) in Him? 002.140 YUSUFALI Or do ye say that Abraham, Isma'il Isaac, Jacob and the Tribes were Jews or Christians? Say Do ye know better than Allah? Ah! who is more unjust than those who conceal the testimony they have from Allah? but Allah is not unmindful of what ye do! 002.141 YUSUFALI That was a people that hath passed away. THEY SHALL REAP THE FRUIT OF WHAT THEY DID, AND YE OF WHAT YE DO! Of their merits there is no question in your case 002.142 YUSUFALI The fools among the people will say "What hath turned them from the Qibla to which they were used?" Say To Allah belong both east and West He guideth whom He will to a Way that is straight. So is it so to be a follower of trad muslims and their ulama?s shirk also? God Bless.

Peace All The word MohSanat/MuhSinin occurs few times in the Quraan (I have listed the verses below) with regard to laws relating to women. This word is used in important law issues related to marriage, slandering and adultery also related punishments. Almost all translators translated this word as chaste, virtuous, free, independent, married etc. The problem is if you use any of these meanings in all verses there were many contradictions. You have to just read through the thread A refutation to Bro Yaseen - Polygamy is allowed in 4 23 to see the amount of confusion these 2 words were causing. I try to determine below the meaning of this word without contradicting any verse . And most importantly you will notice the simple and intelligent way the Quraan uses this word to communicate its message. AhSanat Mary is described as AhSanat in 2191 and 6612 to mean committed/dedicated to the temple or Gods service. Mary?s mother committed/devoted her child to the temple in 335 (Muharrar ~ freed from all worldly affairs and specially dedicated to Allah's service). If we take ?protected? as a meaning for AhSanat then it will mean protected by the temple in this context. 2191 Wal lati ahsanat farjaha_ fanafakna_ fiha_ mir ru_hina_ wa ja'alna_ha_ wab naha_ a_yatal lil'a_lamin 6612 Wa maryamab nata imra_nal latu ahsanat farjaha_ fanafahna_ fihi mir ru_hina_ wa sad daqat bikalima_ti rab iha_ wa kutubihi wa ka_nat minal qa_nitin Mohsanat/Muhsanat means committed or devoted to something or someone. In the following verses it means committed through marriage. And if we use ?protected?, MohSanat should mean protected by (the oath of) marriage. 4 24 Wal muhsana_tu minan nisa_'i illa_ ma_ malakat aima_nukum, kita_balla_hi 'alaikum, wa uhilla lakum ma_ wara_'a za_likum an tabtagu_ bi amwa_likum muhisinan gaira musa_fihin(a), famastamta'tum bihi minhunna fa a_tu_hunna uju_rahunna faridah(tan), wa la_ juna_ha 'alaikum fima_ tara_daitum bihi mim ba'dil faridah(ti), innalla_ha ka_na'aliman hakima_(n). Also (prohibited to you are) women committed (committed to other men/married to other men) except those whom your right hands possess. Thus hath Allah ordained (prohibitions) against you except for these all others are lawful provided ye seek (them in marriage) with gifts from your property desiring commitment not lust. Seeing that ye derive benefit from them give them their dowers (at least) as prescribed; but if after a dower is prescribed ye agree mutually (to vary it) there is no blame on you and Allah is All-Knowing All-Wise. In this verse minan nisa is used to convey no married woman is allowed either believing or from the people of the book. 4 25 Wa mal lam yastati' minkum taulan ay yankihal muhsana_til mu'mina_ti famimma_ malakat aima_nukum min fataya_tikumul mu'mina_t(i), walla_ a'lamu bi ima_nikum, ba'dukum mim ba'd(in), fankihu_hunna bi izni ahlihinna wa a_tu_hunna uju_rahunna bil ma'ru_fi muhsana_tin gaira musa_fiha_tiw wa la_ muttakhiza_ti akhda_n(in), fa iza_ uhsinna fa in ataina bi fa_hisyatin fa 'alaihinna nisfu ma_ 'alal muhsana_ti minal 'aza_b(i), za_lika liman khasyiyal'anata minkum, wa anbiru_ khairul lakum, walla_hu gafu_rur rahim(un). If any of you have not the means wherewith to marry believing women committed (to you) they may wed believing girls from among those whom your right hands possess and Allah hath full knowledge about your faith. Ye are one from another wed them with the leave of their owners and give them their dowers according to what is reasonable they be committed not lustful nor taking paramours when they are taken in wedlock if they fall into shame their punishment is half that for committed women. This (permission) is for those among you who fear sin; but it is better for you that ye practice self-restraint and Allah is Oft-forgiving Most Merciful. 5 5 Al yauma uhilla lakumut tayyiba_t(u), wa ta'a_mul lazina u_tul kita_ba hillul lakum, wa ta'a_mukum hillul lahum, wal muhsana_tu minal mu'mina_ti wal muhsana_tu minal lazina a_tul kita_ba min qablikum iza_a a_taitumuhunna uju_rahunna muhsinina gaira musa_fihina wa la_ muttakhizi akhda_n(in), wa may yakfur bil ima_ni fa qad habita 'amaluh(u_), wa huwa fil a _khirati minal kha_sirin(a). This day are (all) things good and pure made lawful unto you. The food of the People of the Book is lawful unto you and yours is lawful unto them. Lawful to you are believing women committed (to you) and women committed (to you) among the people of the book revealed before your time when ye give them their due dowers and desiring commitment not lewdness nor secret intrigues. If anyone rejects faith fruitless is his work and in the Hereafter he will be in the ranks of those who have lost (all spiritual good). In this verse the women referred to (believing and from the people of the book) are lawful to you only after you have married them. 24 4 Wal lazina yarmu_nal muhsana_ti sum ma lam yatu_ bi arba'ati suhada_ a faj lidu_hum sama_nina jaldataw wa la_ taqbalu_ lahum saha_datan abada_ wa ula_ ika humul fa_siqu_n And those who launch a charge against a committed woman (any married believing woman or married woman from the people of the book) and produce not four witnesses (to support their allegation) flog them with eighty stripes and reject their evidence ever after for such men are wicked transgressors 24 23 In nal lazina yarmu_nal muhsana_til ga_fila_til mumina_ti luinu_ fid dun ya_ wal a_hirah wa lahum aza_bun azim Those who slander believing committed woman and also indiscreet are cursed in this life and in the Hereafter for them is a grievous Penalty This is my understanding of the Quraan, please correct me if you have better understanding of the above.

Quranic Arabic An Indepth look To best understand the Quran we have to understand the Quran from the linguistic background that it came from. We are looing for truth here not religious interpretations. The Quran is divine (as I believe) but that does not mean that the words that it uses are. The term God's word is not talking about the langauge that these words are in but the message that is being communicated through them in the Quran. Human languages are human languages and Arabic is a human langauge. It was not invented by God. Like evolution of creation (if you believe in this) it was guided by God into existence, as were all languages. Some were even guided into extinction. The language of the Quran is the language of Muhammad as a child (God bless him), when he wasn't yet God's prophet, his father, his mother, his uncles, his aunts, his cousins, his neighbors and of all the people who spoke Arabic then just prior to 570 when this man was born. The Classical Arabic that the Quran spoke can be traced to a few hundreds years before 570, where it was being written in Aramaic script before Aramaic script split off into scripts that we now associate with the Arabic language. But don't get the script and the langauge confused. Any language can be written in any script as long as that script can represent the sounds that it makes (Malaysian is written in latin script and Farsi in written in a variant of Arabic script). So the mistake of professional and amateur linguists of trying to say that Arabic is a form of Aramaic or that Arabic words can be interpreted from an Aramaic or Hebrew perspective is dead wrong. Early Arabic was not Aramaic and if you go far enough back in time the language will obviously not be Arabic anymore (Arabic had its origins in distinct languages previous to it as well). If you go to far back you'll get an acestor of what came to be the Arabic of the Pre-Islamic poetries, the Quran and the Hadeeths. Trying to understand Classical Arabic from some inscriptions written in languages that are ancestors of Arabic would be like trying to interpret modern English from Old English or even Shakesperean English. These are different languages and though father and grandson may have some, or even alot of, similarities they are completely different people. With that said Modern Arabic and the colloquials also pose a probelm to properly undersanding the Quran. Unfortunately most Arabs, due to the rampant lies of Arab nationalism and Arab Islamism (the idea that Arabs are the bearers, preservers and protectors of Islam) continue to think that their colloquials are Arabic, even though they are just Arabic based. Unfortunately, unlike most non-Arab Muslims who think of the Quran when they think of Islam, most Arab Muslims still think of the Ummayads and other Arab empires, along with the Quran when they think of Islam. That is a crippling factor as they are in the best position to clarify all that this post is going to say. They also haven't realized that Modern Standard Arabic (a term that Islamist Arabs haven't seemed to grasp) isn't half the language that real Classical Arabic is. I don't say that to be funny either. Modern Arabic is an intentional reduction of Classical Arabic to make it simpler for dialect dominant "Arabic" countries. Modern Standard still pulls from Classical Arabic and traditionalists seem to be there to make sure that it doesn't forget its roots by using old school phrasings, words or grammar in secular settings like schools or professional arenas that have already taken onto this reduced Classical Arabic langauge (mainly used by modern Arabic media) as a way to bring the "Arab" world closer though a linguistic common understanding of a language they have found very diverse and grammatically very difficult to grasp because of the linguistic (dialectical) diversity that has been created in "Arab" countries, namely the colloquials. Those traditionalist tactics only work on Arabs with deep Islamic inclinations and Quranic sympathy. Modernist Arabs or non-Muslim Arabs (I am in contact with Arabs like these everyday) will be quick to tell you that most phrases used in the Quran are obsolete or archaic phrases, or don't mean anything to them. Islam will continue to keep alive Classical Arabic in its mosques, schools and universities, and every friday an imam or a sheikh will make sure that this linguistic tradition survives. However, they will also continue to speak the language with the taint of various Islamic ideologies and post-quranic phenomenons that have changed and added meanings to Classical Arabic words since the advent of the Quran. (In addition to the subtle influence that their colloquials have on how they use certain words) al-aqsaa mosque wasn't built until way after the Quran, but they will still interpret the word like that in the Quran. Even the Classical Arabic dictionaries show that the word deen included the concept of religion but didn't just mean religion (most people at free-minds are aware of that now although they wrongly pidgeon-whole it with the meaning 'system' when it has two general meanings of 'dues or just dues' and 'systematic rule' a concept that applies from religions to governements, to anything that has rules and guidelines to be followed). Through proper linguistic understanding and the proper linguistic tools we can now begin to fully understand what the Quran has been saying to us in its multifaceted entirety. Because understanding the key to a language (that is the basic principle from which it works) helps us understand all that the Quran could have been saying to Muhammad's people and subsequently to us. In every language you have the standard or most used phrases but you also have the non-standard or not so often used phrases and senses of words that follow all of the grammatical principles of the language but that are not necesarily the most used or commonly heard phrases (The debate about the word yateem is a prime example of that). That is the basis of why a homogeneous language can split up into dialects without outside influences. It is because of the basic rules of the language and how it can be expressed and those basic rules can manifest themselves in different ways. Like in English how we can say a 'dissolver' or a 'dissolvent' Or how the word 'drag' can have two different plurals 'dragged' or 'drug.' The suffix 'ent' and 'er' are in most cases synonymous and the past tenses for one syllable verbs in English are highly unpredictable but are based off of changing the middle vowel to a 'u' an 'a' or adding 't' as a suffix or the sound 'd' as a suffix. Words like hit and spit also fall into the category but their situations are a little more complicated (but they never broke these basic principles, no English word will). Compare the English 'spelt' to the American 'spelled' and in some American dialects they say both 'spelt' and 'spelled.' With that said Classical Arabic during the time of Muhammad had different dialects as well, but they all followed the basic principles of Classical Arabic. Principles that can be understood through the grammatical study of the language. Whether you think that a language is colloquial, common or street all languages are based off of grammar. Just because the Classical Arabic of the Quran used to be a common language and then climbed the rungs to status doesn't mean that it was not a grammatically based language, all languages are whether they are considered home-talk, street-talk or fancy-talk. Books like "A Grammar of the Arabic language" by W. Wright, 3rd addition iluminate these basic principles of Classsical Arabic. Taking a language in a dictionary definition sense is good and must be done, because some words are not based off of grammar or have meanings that are not based off of grammar because they are loan words, or based off of the sounds of things make or archaic words whose grammar is long gone but the word still remains in the langauge. Some Arab-centric people or language purist would like for every Arabic word to have had its origins in the Arabic verb based forms which makes Arabic so logical and structured. But even the Quran uses these Arabic loan words, which came into Old Arabic from languages like old persian but which were Arabicised. It is an idiotic way of thinking because what knowledgeable English Grammarian would go around saying 'to dissolve' or 'comfort' aren't English words just because their origins are from Latin. Understanding all these things will help us be able to interperet with precision the range of meanings that any one sentence in a Hadeeth, Islamic poetry or the Quran can have. But to train ourselves and to train others in this skill as it concerns the Quran we will have to able to produce a book that illuminates both the defintion aspect of the Classical Arabic words that the Quran uses (From a pre-Islamic perspective, eliminating meanings that have only Islamic, Midieval or Modern significance) as well as the possible grammatical depth of each word that the Quran uses even if the dictionary is not able to do that. This does not mean excluding any religious meaning of a word as if people before the Quran didn't pray, etc. That is extremism, and it denies that fact that even "pagans" pray, and that Arab Christians and Jews were rampant in Pre-Quranic Arabia. Classical Arabic was their native toungue too. When we can accomplish that, and then accomplish the feat of developing a program that can efficiently teach that then we will be on the road to successfully implementing the Quran. Understanding all of the above and focusing these efforts on all of the words that the Qur'an uses and putting this into a compilations bypasses having to teach aspects of the language that can't be applied to the Quran, but it puts the burden on us to able to sift through all the Classical Arabic resources, record and then pass on what is relevant to understanding the Quran. It also requires any Arab who is involved in this to trust the dictionaries and grammar books and understand that although the language that they speak is similar to, and derives from Old-School Arabic it is not old-school arabic. Arabs have knowledge of commonly prefferred, modernly preferred or religiously preferred meanings of Arabic words but not necessarily all of the meanings of Old-school classical arabic words, which includes the meanings of the Qur'an's words. I know to some people this might be very complicated but the Quran says that it is for Ulool-albaabi People of Wisdom, and for those who ya'qiloona who use their logic. When the Quran was revealed to the Arabs of Muhammad's day they had all of the linguistic tools to understand the book, if they didn't it was because of their hard-heartedness and prejudices. It was because of people who cared about this message being spread far and wide that an effort was made to preserve the language, whether they were Persian, Arab or Ethiopian makes no difference. They preserved the language from the changes that it would take in the future so that we can understand the Quran without corruption. When there works don't apply to the Quran necessarily that is due to the fact that they were recording the usage of the language whether a meaning that developed because of some event after the Quran had made its way into the language or not. Examples of these incidences are clear as day for the honest person who hasn't been jaded by the deficiency of ONE dictionary that he or she might have perused through, or who didn't take the time to read and think on all that was being said in Arabic lexicons like Lane's Lexicion. It wasn't the grammarians who corrupted the language, they preserved the language as best they could. In my opinion they did a very good job. Orientalists and later grammarians improved leaps and bounds on their works, as they were not limited by stangant Islamic thought, niether were the first Grammarians. Now it is up to us to consult all of these resources, strike out post-quranic meanings which don't apply to the Quran and then we can revive the language of the Quran. In this modern era and due to the changes that have taken place in Arabic after the Quran it would be deserved to be called Quranic Arabic, and we could spread it far and wide and make it our lingua fraca. Godbless, Anwar

Salaams, Is it the spider or according to the dictionary ?the ill conformed Check the context of the ayah and see! 029.036 YUSUFALI To the Madyan (people) (We sent) their brother Shu'aib. Then he said "O my people! serve Allah, and fear the Last Day nor commit evil on the earth, with intent to do mischief." 029.037 YUSUFALI But they rejected him Then the mighty Blast seized them, and they lay prostrate in their homes by the morning. 029.038 YUSUFALI (Remember also) the 'Ad and the Thamud (people) clearly will appear to you from (the traces) of their buildings (their fate) the Evil One made their deeds alluring to them, and kept them back from the Path, though they were gifted with intelligence and skill. 029.039 YUSUFALI (Remember also) Qarun, Pharaoh, and Haman there came to them Moses with Clear Signs, but they behaved with insolence on the earth; yet they could not overreach (Us). 029.040 YUSUFALI Each one of them We seized for his crime of them, against some We sent a violent tornado (with showers of stones); some were caught by a (mighty) Blast; some We caused the earth to swallow up; and some We drowned (in the waters) It was not Allah Who injured (or oppressed) them" They injured (and oppressed) their own souls. 029.041 YUSUFALI The likeness of those who take protectors other than Allah is that of the ill conformed , who build a house; but truly the flimsiest of houses is the house of the ill conformed;- if they but knew. 029.042 YUSUFALI Verily Allah doth know of (every thing) whatever that they call upon besides Him and He is Exalted (in power), Wise. 029.043 YUSUFALI And such are the Parables We set forth for mankind, but only those understand them who have knowledge.

peace folks please helpme understand GOD creates 'Man'. In the very beginning of our existence, GOD announces to His 'Angels' that he is creating a new creature (mankind) to serve Him "And your Lord said to the Angels I am creating a human from a clay like material. So when I COMPLETE him and breath from My spirit in him you shall prostrate to him" (15/28-29) The 'Rouh' is given to Adam. Once man had adapted and progressed to the evolutionary level desired by GOD, then the 2nd phase of GOD's plan was put into effect "Your Lord said to the angels 'I am creating a human being from clay. Once I make him, and blow into him from My 'Rouh', you shall prostrate to him." (3871-72) i read quran translations at yaqb.org, both 1529 & 38.72 has same words, how does one sentence give two differnt meanings. ?

peace be upon those who have found the truth, if we come across an issue which we used to follow (i.e. the hadith) why don't we REREAD the quran searching ALL THE VERSES dealing with a certaiin term/story. then we site them on this site. for example the story of moses has been reiterated in the quran in different places dealing with different situations and morals. why don't we similarly post articles each person shall be assigned a differnt topic for quranic research... and post them here for conclusion on a certain issue.... maybe THIS WILL HELP US COME TO AN AGREEMENT ON ISSUES SUCH AS SALAAT, CUTTING HANDS OF THIEVES ETC... to let you know some hadith covers a wide variety of topics( despite their inaccuracy people accept them because they at least give an abbysmal answer rather than no answer at all)... this is something that modern sunnis and shias (and perhaps people of other faiths) can challenge us and say, "you guys call yourselves 'free-minders' but your topics are not at a wide variety of thinking... i acknowledge that this movement is YOUNG but in order to free the muslim world from the 'hadirth conspiracy' WE NEED MORE ACTIVE MEMBERS WHO CAN UNDERSTAND THE SCRIPTURE WELL AND NOT JUST FOR THEIR PERSONAL PRIDE OR GLORY.... BUT FOR THE GOOD NAME OF ISLAM AS WELL.... my message is we want to make a name for ourselves... so get a move on... and reread the quran more....... so we can get back what those crusadors took from us............ world dominance of propaganda and intelligence...... COME ON, PEOPLE..... LET'S RESTORE THIS MUSLIM WORLD THE WAY IT WAS RIGHT AFTER THE FIRST TIME THE QURAN WAS TREATED 'THE RIGHT WAY'(THE ERA OF MUSLIM INTELLIGENCE)....

Between them is a veil. And on the Heights are men who know them all by their marks. And they call unto the dwellers of the Garden Peace be unto you! They enter it not although they hope (to enter). Does anyone know who the men "on the Heights" are? Just want to clarify if they are the sinners or are they still awaiting the decision of Allah. JazekAllah Khair. Salaam.

http//www.clearvision.com.pk/perspectives.php?func=show&id=41 Parable No.02 in a series of Parables from Quran For more info contact [email protected] Parable Grain of Corn The similitude of those who spend their wealth in the way of God is that of a grain of corn that grows seven ears, and each ear has a hundred grains. God gives manifold increase to who he pleases and God is All-sufficient for the needs of his creatures, All-knower (2261) Commentary Let us analyze each of the symbols and terms used in this parable Grain of corn ? Quran extensively uses examples from nature such as grain, garden, its growth and rain to explain the laws governing human life. The grain of corn represents the wealth one spends for the sake of God. It is like a seed one sows to reap the harvest later. It is like an investment which grows many times and gives much more return than the ordinary financial investments. In the way of God ? There are many different ways a person can spend for the sake of God. To free somebody from debt or disability, to provide for an orphan, to provide for poor, to spend for parents, relatives and wayfarers, to spend for the Muslim community, to spend for struggle against evil are some of the examples of spending in the way of God. Quran emphasizes that we are trustees of our wealth and poor has a known right in our wealth. Quran also emphasizes that we should not give to show off, we should give what is good and should not follow our giving by insult or injury instead kind words are better than giving with insult. Therefore, it is our responsibility is to share the wealth with the poor. Seven ears, and each ear has a hundred grains ? This shows the mercy and benevolence of God for those who spend for the sake of God. Just like on seed produces hundreds of seeds one good deed bring enormous return from God. Moral of this parable is that if a person spends, his or her wealth, with certain faith to seek the pleasure of God, he or she will get an enormous and plentiful return from God much more than one can get from ordinary financial investments. Notes and References A parable is a narrative of imagined events used to illustrate or convey a moral or spiritual lesson. Quran uses parables to convey its message. Quran says ?And these similitudes we put forward for humankind, but none will understand them except those who have knowledge? As Salaam Alaikum, So yesterday night we were suppose to read Surah 11. It is called ?Hud? translated as ?The Prophet Hud?. Basically this chapter dealt with different prophet and who they were sent to, and how their people rejected them (except for a few). Very nice read I must say. I liked it. NOTICE The following are just NOTES/DESCRIPTIONS of the Ayat. Most (the overwhelming majority) ARE NOT the actual translations of the verse, so please do not mistake them as. 111- Quran reconfirms itself as a book, which to me, further doubts the claim that the Quran was only written down years after the Prophet?s death, or even compiled. 115- Even when people cover themselves with their garments, Allah knows what they conceal and what they reveal. 1113-Prophet(s?) accused of forgery 1140- Noah told to put each kind (of animals), two, amle and female, and his family, except those against whom the Word has already gone forth, and the believers on the ark. 1145-46 Noah pleaded with Allah about his son who refused to go on the ark? From what I got he had questioned Allah on his promise (I guess to save his family?). But Allah said that he (the son) is not of his (Noah?s) family for his conduct was unrighteous? Allah basically tells Noah don?t question him on things he (Noah) knows nothing of. 1150-60 Prophet Hud was sent to the Ad people (and of course rejected by most) 1161- Prophet Salih was sent to the people of Thamud 1161-68 It?s about Thamud people. 1174- Abraham pleaded for Lut?s people 1178- Prophet Lut offered his daughters to the people of Lut It really upsets me when non-Muslims try to say that Prophet Lut was forcing his daughters to marry or giving them up as some sex slaves? common sense would tell you that he would only do that in a just way? like he would obviously make sure his daughter?s were married, and of course not force them. We see this all the time in communites, ?Don?t? fornicate! Here is my daughter/son (hands over a wallet sized picture, lol). they are educated, nice, scored a 1500 on the old SAT, blah blah. You will make a good match with them.?. Lol. People are sick man, they will do anything to distort Islam. 1179?Prophet Lut?s people rejected his daughters and still preferred men 1184?Prophet Shu?aib was sent to the Madyan people. 11101?Allah did not wrong them (the people punished), they wronged their own souls. 11105?When the day of judgment arrives, no soul shall speak except by His (Allah?s) leave. 11107?People will dwell in hell forever, so long as the heavens and the earth endure, except as thy Lord willeth. Okay? so does that mean that hell will only be temporary for people? ?Except as they Lord willeth?. The commentary of the translator says that most scholars believe that hell is forever for all people? but I don?t know? let?s discuss this. I?m confused. 11108?Those who are blessed shall be in the Garden they will dwell therein so long as the heavens and the earth endure, except as the Lord willeth a gift without break. 11114?Establish regular slat at the two ends of the day and at the approaches of the night. Okay folks that?s all. Tonight we shall read Surah 12. I hope you all enjoy, and remember to post your notes too if you have some.
