Peace, And We took the covenant of the Children of Israel ?You shall not serve except God, and regard your parents, and regard the relatives, and orphans, and needy, and say kind things to the people, and hold the salat, and contribute towards betterment.? But then you turned away, except a few of you; you were objecting. Wa-ith akhathna meethaqabanee isra-eela la taAAbudoona illa Allahawabialwalidayni ihsanan watheealqurba waalyatama waalmasakeeniwaqooloo lilnnasi husnan waaqeemoo alssalatawaatoo alzzakata thumma tawallaytum illa qaleelan minkum waantum muAAridoona And if they had upheld the Torah and the Injeel, and what was sent down to them from their Lord, they would have been rewarded from above them and below their feet. From among them is a pious nation, but most of them only do evil. Walaw annahum aqamoo alttawratawaal-injeela wama onzila ilayhim min rabbihimlaakaloo min fawqihim wamin tahti arjulihim minhum ommatunmuqtasidatun wakatheerun minhum saa mayaAAmaloona But none believed in Moses from his people except some from their descendants, because of their fear from Pharaoh and his leaders that he would persecute them. Pharaoh was high in the land, and he was of the tyrants. Fama amana limoosa illathurriyyatun min qawmihi AAala khawfin minfirAAawna wamala-ihim an yaftinahum wa-inna firAAawna laAAalinfee al-ardi wa-innahu lamina almusrifeena So, when Our command came and the volcano erupted. We said ?Carry in it two of every pair, and your family; except those against whom the word has been issued; and whoever believed.? But those who believed with him were few. Hatta itha jaaamruna wafara alttannooru qulna ihmilfeeha min kullin zawjayni ithnayni waahlaka illaman sabaqa AAalayhi alqawlu waman amana wama amanamaAAahu illa qaleelun If only there was from the previous generations a people with wisdom who deterred from the corruption on earth, except the few that We saved of them. And those who were wicked followed the enjoyment they were in, and they were criminal. Wama aktharu alnnasiwalaw harasta bimu/mineena And most of them will not believe in God except while setting-up partners. Wama yu/minu aktharuhum biAllahiilla wahum mushrikoona He said ?Shall I show You this one whom You have preferred over me, that if You respite me until the Day of Resurrection, I will seize his progeny, except for a few.? Qala araaytaka hatha allatheekarramta AAalayya la-in akhkhartani ila yawmi alqiyamatilaahtanikanna thurriyyatahu illa qaleelan ?He has misled mountain loads of you. Did you not possess any understanding?? Walaqad adalla minkum jibillan katheeran afalam takoonoo taAAqiloona But We only found in it one house of those who had surrendered. Fama wajadna feeha ghayra baytin mina almuslimeena And We had sent Noah and Abraham, and We placed in their progeny the prophethood and the Scripture. Some of them were guided, while many were wicked. Walaqad arsalna noohan wa-ibraheemawajaAAalna fee thurriyyatihima alnnubuwwatawaalkitaba faminhum muhtadin wakatheerun minhum fasiqoona Then We sent in their tracks Our messengers. We sent Jesus the son of Mary, and We gave him the Injeel, and We ordained in the hearts of his followers kindness and mercy. But they invented Monasticism which We never decreed for them. They wanted to please God, but they did not observe it the way it should have been observed. Consequently, We gave those who believed among them their recompense, while many of them were wicked. Peace, In Surah Al-Imran ayah 3 the words LIMA BAYNI YADAYHI, when properly translated from the Arabic, means "THAT WHICH IS INBETWEEN HIS/YOUR TWO/VERY HANDS" Nazzala AAalayka alkitaba bialhaqqimusaddiqan lima bayna yadayhi waanzala alttawratawaal-injeela It is He Who sent down to thee (step by step), in truth, the Book, CONFIRMING WHAT WENT BEFORE IT; and He sent down the Law (of Moses) and the Gospel (of Jesus) before this, as a guide to mankind, and He sent down the criterion (of judgment between right and wrong). (33) That is not the proper translation. PM translates it as He sent down to you the Scripture with truth, authenticating what is present with it; and He sent down the Torah and the Injeel. Does this go to show with the sentence structure that it is in reference to Muhammad and that it is in the PRESENT TEXT relative to the Revelation of the Torah and Gospel? Qu'ran sees the previous scriptures as altered/corrupted (even during the time of Muhammad), so how come over here it says that Muhammad is authenticating PRESENT (corrupted) scriptures (even though it has been translated as previous scriptures), since LIMA BAYNI YADAYHI, when properly translated from the Arabic, means "THAT WHICH IS INBETWEEN HIS/YOUR TWO/VERY HANDS?" Peace

Peace, This is the Scripture in which there is no doubt, a guide for the righteous. Then it is for Us to clarify it. If they debate with you, then say ?I have surrendered myself to God, as well as those who follow me.? And say to those who have received the Scripture and the Gentiles ?Have you surrendered?? If they have surrendered then they are guided, and if they turn away, then you are only to deliver, and God is watcher over the servants. And obey God and obey the messenger, and be aware. If you turn away then know that it is the duty of the messenger to deliver the clarity. The messenger is only to deliver. And God knows what you reveal and what you conceal. Say ?Which is the greatest testimony?? Say ?God is witness between me and you, and He has inspired to me this Quran that I may warn you with itand whomever it reaches, that you bear witness that along with God are other gods!?; say ?I do not bear witness!?, say ?He is only One god, and I am innocent of what you set-up!? And this is a Scripture which We have sent down, blessed, authenticating what is present with him, and that you may warn the capital of the towns and those around it. And those who believe in the Hereafter believe in it, and they are careful to/in their salat. A Scripture that has been sent down to you, so let there not be any burden in your chest from it, that you may warn with it; and a reminder to the believers. ?Are you surprised that a reminder has come to you from your Lord through a man from amongst you to warn you, and that you may receive mercy?? And if We show you some of what We promise them or if We let you pass away, then you are only to deliver while for Us is the reckoning. And those who set-up partners said ?If God had wished it, we would not have served anything besides Him; neither us nor our fathers; nor would we have forbidden anything without Him.? Those before them did the exact same thing; so are the messengers required to do anything but deliver with clarity? So if they turn away, then you are only required to deliver clearly. Say ?Obey God, and obey the messenger.? But if they turn away, then he is only responsible for his obligation, and you are responsible for your obligations. And if you obey him, you will be guided. The messenger is only required to deliver clearly. And this is a revelation from the Lord of the worlds. It was sent down with the trusted Spirit. Upon your heart, so that you would be of the warners. In a clear Arabic tongue. ?I have been ordered to serve the Lord of this town that He has made restricted, and to Him are all things, and I have been ordered to be of those who surrender.? ?And that I recite the Quran.? He who is guided is guided for himself, and to he who is misguided, say ?I am but one of the warners.? And they said ?If only signs would come down to him from his Lord!? Say ?All signs are with God, and I am but a clear warner.? You are but a warner. And thus We have inspired to you an Arabic Quran, so that you may warn the capital town and all around it, and to warn about the Day of Gathering that is inevitable. A group will be in Paradise, and a group in Hell. And you are of a high moral character. This is the utterance of an honourable messenger. It is not the utterance of a poet; rarely do you believe. Nor the utterance of a soothsayer; rarely do you take heed. A revelation from the Lord of the worlds. And had he attributed anything falsely to Us. We would have seized him by the right. Then, We would have severed his life-line. None of you would be able to prevent it. And this is a reminder for the righteous. It is but an announcement from God, and His messages. And whosoever disobeys God and His messenger, then he will have the fire of Hell to dwell eternally therein. Except to whom He has accepted as a messenger, then He reveals from the past and the future. So that He knows that they have delivered the messages of their Lord, and He surrounds all that is with them, and He has counted the number of all things. The people used to be one nation, then God sent the prophets as bearers of good news and warners, and He sent down with them the Scripture with the facts so that they may judge between the people in what they were disputing. But after receiving the clarity, the people disputed in it due to animosity between them. And God guided those who believed with His permission regarding what they disputed in of the truth. And God guides whoever He wishes to a straight path. It is not for a human that God would give him the Scripture and the authority and the prophethood, then he would say to the people ?Be servants to me rather than God!?, rather ?Be devotees for what you have been taught of the Scripture, and for what you studied.? We have revealed to you the Scripture with truth that you may judge between the people by that which God Has shown you, and do not be an advocate for the treacherous. Peace be upon those who follow the guidance

Peace, Verses / Signs / Revelations of God are fully detailed because they are the verb of God, the absolute truth. Whoever God wishes to guide, He will open his chest towards surrender; and whoever He wishes to misguide, He will make his chest tight and constricted, as one who is climbing towards the sky. It is such that God afflicts those who do not believe. Faman yuridi Allahu an yahdiyahuyashrah sadrahu lil-islami waman yurid an yudillahuyajAAal sadrahu dayyiqan harajan kaannamayassaAAAAadu fee alssama-i kathalikayajAAalu Allahu alrrijsa AAala allatheenala yu/minoona And this is your Lord?s straight path. We have fully detailed the revelations to a people who remember. Wahatha siratu rabbikamustaqeeman qad fassalna al-ayatiliqawmin yaththakkaroona The scripture gived to Moses is a guide where are detailed all thing. This scripture is the revelation of God, His perfect verb and the Lord?s straight path. 6 154 Then We gave Moses the Scripture, to complete for those who do right, and to fully detail all things, and a guide and mercythat they may believe in the meeting of their Lord. Thumma atayna moosaalkitaba tamaman AAala allathee ahsanawatafseelan likulli shay-in wahudan warahmatanlaAAallahum biliqa-i rabbihim yu/minoona On the tablets all things are detailed and represent a complete guide to a people who remember. Walaqad ji/nahum bikitabin fassalnahuAAala AAilmin hudan warahmatan liqawmin yu/minoona The quran authenticate the previous scriptures such as the scripture of Moses in which are detailed all thing. The quran as the tablets of Moses are the revelation of God, complete guides. This Quran could not have been produced without God, but it is to authenticate what is already present, and to give detail to the Scripture in which there is no doubt, from the Lord of the worlds. Wama kana hatha alqur-anuan yuftara min dooni Allahi walakin tasdeeqaallathee bayna yadayhi watafseela alkitabi larayba feehi min rabbi alAAalameena And We have not sent before you except men, to whom We gave inspiration, from the people of the towns. • Why the change of Qiblah from Jerusalem to Makkah

THIS TOPIC OF MINE WILL PROVE TO YOU THAT THE "QURANISTS" (beliefs of Free-Minds.org) ARE ON THE WRONG PATH!!! In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful. "To each is a goal to which Allah turns him; then strive together (as in a race) toward all that is good. Wheresoever ye are Allah will bring you together. For Allah hath power over all things." I will try to give you a short commentary on the verse I quoted above and related verses that come before it. We begin at verse 2142 of the Holy Qur'an. Allah says The fools among the people will say "What hath turned them from the Qiblah to which they were used?" Say To Allah belong both East and West; He guideth whom He will to a Way that is straight. Let us study the background of the revelation of this verse. Before the Holy Prophet migrated to Medina, the Qibla was in Jerusalem. When the Holy Prophet used to pray salaat in Makkah, he used to face Jerusalem in such a way as to keep the Holy Ka'ba (in Makkah) in front of him too. He did this because of his respect for Ibrahim (pbuh), who built the Holy Ka'ba and who prayed that Allah should send an Apostle (the Holy Prophet) into the world who would spread the Deen of Islam. When the Holy Prophet migrated to Medina, he could not face the two Qiblas at the same time while praying. This was because now, Jerusalem and Makkah were on opposite sides to where he was standing. So because the functional and operational Qibla at that time was in Jersulem, the Holy Prophet prayed his salat facing Jerusalem, while he remained in Medina. This tradition of the Holy Prophet remained active for sixteen or seventeen months. When the unbelievers in Makkah realised this practice of the Holy Prophet, they began to argue with the Muslims "see what your prophet is doing? When he lived in Makkah, then to keep you happy he used face the the Qiblah in Makkah, and now that he has migrated to Medina, he has fogotten about the Qiblah in Makkah and to keep the Jews happy he has began to turn to the Qiblah in Jerusalem. Such is your prophet." In Medina, the Jews said similar words to the Holy Prophet. They began to argue that "in every other way in life, you have adopted your own unique way, why not make your own Qiblah too instead of facing our Qiblah in Jerusalem?". The Holy Prophet felt a slight burden on himself because of this dilemma. He had a feeling and desire in his heart that the Qiblah should be changed for the Muslims. While in this state, some old woman of Medina invited the Holy Prophet and other sahaba (his companions) for dinner. The Holy Prophet visited her home. The dinner was still being prepared and so the Holy Prophet told the woman that they will go to the mosque for pray, and will return to eat the dinner after they have prayed. In the mosque, the Holy Prophet and the sahaba stood up to pray their salaat (pray). They faced the Qiblah in Jerusalem with the Qiblah in Makkah behind their back. The Holy Prophet's desire for the change of Qiblah became even greater. The pray was four rakats long and they had already prayed two rakats. They had two rakats remaining when his desire became so great that the Holy Prophet raised his blessed face towards the sky. It was at this moment in time when the Quranic verse was revealed that gave the order to the Muslims to change their Qiblah "We see the turning of thy face (for guidance) to the heavens; now shall We turn thee to a Qiblah that shall please thee. Turn then thy face in the direction of the Sacred Mosque (in Makkah); wherever ye are turn your faces in that direction. The people of the book know well that that is the truth from their Lord nor is Allah unmindful of what they do." Now because the revelation and Divine order for the change of Qiblah was revealed, the Holy Prophet turned around to face the Qiblah in Makkah, which was behind his back. He did this while still leading the sahaba in pray. The situation was such that the Holy Prophet (the Imaam) was facing the Muqtadee (the ones who are following the Imaam in pray). So the Imaam and Muqtadee were facing each other while they were in the middle of pray. Since the Qiblah had been changed, the Holy Prophet was therefore standing BEHIND the Jamaat (the sahaba) who were facing him. Since the Imaam has to be in front of the Jamaat, the Holy Prophet walked through the sahaba to the opposite side. The sahaba would never do anything which was against the Qur'an or the Sunna. They were still facing Jerusalem which was according to them thier FUNCTIONAL Qiblah and did not know that revelation had been revealed to the Holy Prophet where Allah commanded them to change the Qiblah. This was a very difficult situation for them. What should they do?? Should they continue with their pray while facing Jerusalem which was their functional Qiblah and an order of Allah, or should they turn around and face the Holy Prophet because of their faith in him, their love and respect for him. It was a very difficult situation for them because on one side they had the Qiblah, to which they had been used to in facing while they prayed; it was a divine order as well. On the other side they just had the Holy Prophet. This was a time to test who truly loved and followed the Holy Prophet. They had to make the decision there and then, because they were in the middle of the pray. Allah mentions that it was a very difficult test for them in the following verse "Thus have We made of you an Ummah justly balanced that ye might be witnesses over the nations and the Apostle a witness over yourselves; and We appointed the Qiblah to which thou wast used only to test those who followed the Apostle from those who would turn on their heels (from the faith). Indeed it was a very difficult test except to those guided by Allah. And never would Allah make your faith of no effect. For Allah is to all people most surely full of kindness Most Merciful." It is very important to note that the sahaba were in the middle of salaat when the verse which ordered them to change the Qiblah was revealed. Therefore they could not have been aware of what was happening. They were not aware why the Holy prophet faced towards them, walked towards them, through them, and then stood behind them, facing the other way. They were not aware that Allah wanted to TEST the sahabas on the faith they had in the Holy Prophet. Now the situation was such that the sahaba had their FUNCTIONAL Qiblah (according to them) on one side to which they were already facing, and they had the Holy Prophet on the other side who was standing behind them. What should they do?? Subhanallah, the sahaba succeeded in the test without hesitation and they all turned around to face the Holy Prophet. It is narrated in Bukhari Shareef "Allah's Apostle prayed facing Baitul-Maqdis (in Jerusalem) for sixteen or seventeen months but he loved to face the Ka'ba (at Mecca) so Allah revealed "Verily, We have seen the turning of your face to the heaven!" So the Prophet faced the Ka'ba and the fools amongst the people namely "the Jews" said, "What has turned them from their Qibla (Baitul-Maqdis) which they formerly observed"" (Allah revealed) "Say 'To Allah belongs the East and the West. He guides whom he will to a straight path'." A man prayed with the Prophet (facing the Ka'ba) and went out. He saw some of the Ansar praying the 'Asr prayer with their faces towards Baitul-Maqdis, he said, "I bear witness that I prayed with Allah's Apostle facing the Ka'ba." So all the people turned their faces towards the Ka'ba." Some people were praying outside while facing Jerusalem. A man who had prayed earlier with the Holy Prophet facing the Ka'ba in Makkah went outside and saw them. He said in a load voice that he had prayed facing Makkah, so all those people while they were praying turned around to face Makkah without breaking their salaat. This is narrated in the following Hadith from Muslim Shareef "The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) used to pray towards Bayt al-Maqdis (in Jerusalem), that it was revealed (to him) "Indeed We see the turning of the face to heaven, wherefore We shall assuredly cause thee to turn towards Qiblah which shall please thee. So turn thy face towards the sacred Mosque (Ka'bah)" . A person from Banu Salamah was going; (he found the people) in ruku (while) praying the dawn prayer and they had said one rak'ah. He said in a loud voice Listen! the Qiblah has been changed and they turned towards (the new) Qiblah (Ka'bah) in that very state." Let's come back to the verse, which I mentioned earlier "We see the turning of thy face (for guidance) to the heavens; now shall We turn thee to a Qiblah that shall please thee. Turn then thy face in the direction of the Sacred Mosque (in Makkah); wherever ye are turn your faces in that direction. The people of the book know well that that is the truth from their Lord nor is Allah unmindful of what they do." In this verse, there are a couple of points which need to be raised. The purpose of this verse was to give a divine order to the Muslims to face the Qiblah while praying. Before Allah gave this order he also said "We see the turning of thy face (for guidance) to the heavens; now shall We turn thee to a Qiblah that shall please thee." Now what is the significant of these words? Is there any command in these words? Is there any divine order in this verse? Is it part of any Shariah? Is it any Sunna? You can keep searching for headings for which these words of Allah belong to, but you will not find any heading to which they belong to except THE LOVE OF THE HOLY PROPHET. Allah tells the Messenger, "(O beloved!) We see the turning of thy face (for guidance) to the heavens". In the next part of the verse Allah says "now shall We turn thee to a Qiblah that shall please thee." Notice Allah says that He will turn the Holy Prophet to the Qiblah which will please him. So before the Divine order, there are two parts which talk about the Love for the Holy Prophet. My dear Muslim brothers and sisters, you too should fill your heart with two parts of Love for the Holy Prophet before filling the remaining one part in following the commandments of Allah. Faith and Love for the Holy Prophet comes first, actions come after. If we did not have faith in the Holy Prophet, how can we have faith in Allah? We did not know who Allah was before the Holy Prophet came, We did not know what Qiblah was before the Holy Prophet came, we received faith because of the Holy Prophet, we received the Qur'an because of the Holy Prophet. We received the whole of our Islam because of the Holy Prophet. So fill your hearts with the love and respect for the Holy Prophet. There are many many verses like the above in the Holy Qur'an which I would love to carry on writing about. They give no lessons to us except the Love and respect for the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). But due to lack of time, I must leave it here. Assalatu-Wassalaamu-Ala-Sayyidina-wal-Mursaleen, Wal-Hamdu-lillahi-Rabbil-Alameen Peace and blessings of Allah (swt) be upon our Master Muhammad (pbuh). PrinceZ?d. Disclaimer The above article was written by me (PrinceZ?d) according to my own understanding of things. I am not a scholar in Islam so the article may contain numerous errors and misunderstandings that I may have over-looked. However I haven't found anything in contradiction with the Qur'an and Sunnah. If anyone disagrees with what I have written, we can talk about this to clear our misunderstandings. Jazakallahu-khairan.

Salams, La yatafaqahu Fid Din (9122) Nor should the Believers all go forth together if a contingent from every expedition remained behind, they could devote themselves to studies in religion, and admonish the people when they return to them, that thus they (may learn) to guard themselves (against evil). (9122) The word Yatafaqahu is from the same root of the word "Fiqh" which means "Understanding". Yatafaqahu is the 5th verb form of this word, Tafaa Alaa, and denotes deep understanding and knowledge. Does this verse somehow go against self-interpretation? Maybe it connotes that we should consult people with deep understanding? I, however, think that anybody who sincerely wishes to understand/study the Quran CAN. 004.082 Do they not consider the Qur'an (with care)? Had it been from other Than Allah, they would surely have found therein Much discrepancy. 004.083 When there comes to them some matter touching (Public) safety or fear, they divulge it. If they had only referred it to the Messenger, or to those charged with authority among them, the proper investigators would have Tested it from them (direct). Were it not for the Grace and Mercy of Allah unto you, all but a few of you would have fallen into the clutches of Satan. Alladhina Yastanbitanuhu Minhum (483) Refer it to Allah and his messenger and then those in authority amongst you, THOSE WHOSE JOB IT IS TO FIND OUT/KNOW? Hmm, what do the Allah and Qu'ran alone and only people think? Salams

Peace to all, I came across this verse in the Quran, and I wonder...does it really allow polygamy? Yusufali 43] If ye fear that ye shall not be able to deal justly with the orphans, Marry women of your choice, Two or three or four; but if ye fear that ye shall not be able to deal justly (with them), then only one, or that your right hands possess, that will be more suitable, to prevent you from doing injustice. What do you guys think? Any comments would be appreciated. ~ Sara

peace, his version Then when the prohibited months are over, you may overcome the idol worshipers wherever you may find them. You shall capture them, encircle them and watch them carefully at every place and if they repent and uphold their obligations (sol-laa-ta wa-atu-zakaa) and keep them pure then give them (the polytheists) the freedom to move around. Surely God is Forgiver, Merciful (Chapter 9 Verse 5) free-minds version So when the restricted months have passed, then you may kill those who have set-up partners wherever you find them, and take them, and surround them, and stand against them at every point. If they repent, and hold the assembly, and contribute towards betterment, then you shall leave them alone. God is Forgiving, Merciful. find it somewhere within herehttp//www.free-minds.org/Arab_Conspiracy.html it seems to me that "overcome" fits in there better then "kill" does, along within the rest of sura 9 too, can somebody verify this for me? this isn't the question of who is right about salat or zakat but which is the right word to use? kill or overcome? peace

Salaam Layth and all, On another thread, "Someone" posted these verses... 35 36 37 38 39 35-9.For God nothing is hidden in the earth or in the heavens. He is the One who pictures you in the wombs as He pleases. There is no god but Him, the Noble, the Wise. He is the One who sent down to you the scripture, from which there are law giving verses; they are the essence of the Scripture; and others which seem similar to each other. As for those who have disease in their hearts, they will follow what seems similar of it seeking to confuse, and seeking to derive an interpretation. But none know its interpretation except God. And those who are well founded in knowledge say ?We believe in it, all is from our Lord.? And none will remember except the people of understanding. ?Our Lord, do not make our hearts deviate after You have guided us, and grant us from You a mercy; You are the Grantor.? ?Our Lord, You will gather the people for a day in which there is no doubt; God does not break His appointment.? ...which reminded me of a question I had a while ago. This how the PM translation reads... He is the One who sent down to you the Scripture, from which there are firm verses; they are the essence of the Scripture; and others which are similar to each other. As for those who have disease in their hearts, they will follow what is similar from it seeking to confuse, and seeking to derive an interpretation. But none know its interpretation except God and those who are well founded in knowledge. They say ?We believe in it, all is from our Lord.? And none will remember except the people of understanding. I think the position of the 'full stop' between knowledge and They say, changes the meaning of this sentence. I'll explain. The first one goes like this... But none know its interpretation except God. And those who are well founded in knowledge say This one tells me that - God knows it's interpratation STOP. The ones who are well founded in knowledge say we believe... while this one says to me... But none know its interpretation except God and those who are well founded in knowledge. ... that God AND the people of knowledge know it's interpretation According to me - big difference. What do you guys think? )

    Q
Salaam Brothers and Sisters, I would like to add my two cents worth regarding the Subject of Messenger and Prophet. My position is that Some Messengers can be appointed Prophets, thus All Prophets are not messengers. The Qur'an affirms the fact that the messenger's duty was only to deliver the message to mankind. The Qur'an also affirms the fact that the messenger recited the words he heard spoken to him, verbatim. Therefore we are able to conclude from the above facts that the messenger delivered God's word directly to mankind. If the Messenger delivered God's Word to mankind, we must also assume that the messenger brought God's word to the Man, Muhammad, since Muhammad is considered part of the human race. Of course this make logical sense, especially considering the fact that the messenger delivered the message verbatim, thus not having time to understand the message he was delivering. Thus, the messenger delivered the message to Muhammad and all the other believers. Now, the interesting fact is in understanding the term Prophet. A prophet is a believer of the message delivered. The Qur'an affirms the fact that the prophets duty was to Judge by what God had delivered(through the messenger). The Prophet is also one who is appointed the leader of the believers by God to guide his and only his generation under the banner of Islam. Here is some Qur'anic proof that backs the above view. 469 Qur'an And whoever obeys God and the messenger will be among those whom God has blessed from the PROPHETS and the truthful and the martyrs and the upright. What an excellent companionship! MYcase has been affirmed by Allah in verse 469. Those who obey Allah and the Messenger are those who are blessed, thus the Prophets(Muhammad) obey God and the Messenger as do the truthful and Martyrs, therefore they are the ones who are blessed. In other words,Prophet Muhammad obeyed God and the Messenger(message) . Thus he obeyed the message that God spoke through him as the Messenger, thus obeying himself which inturn made him Obey Allah. The distinction has been made. Muhammad was a Messenger and a Prophet who had Obeyed the Messenger(message). There is much more Qur'anic proof, but the time I have at this moment is limited, thus the short summary. Salaam

Pls answer this post in complete detail, not in fragments. I need to fully understand the issue I'm raising. Today, we see Muslims eating meat that has been cut iwth the knife on the thraot and name of God has been pronounced. I read this article (a very good one) http//www.free-minds.org/articles/dietary.htm One thing is clear "?Do not eat from that upon which the name of God has not been mentioned, for it is an abomination. The devils inspire their allies to argue with you; if you obey them, you will be idol worshipers.? 6121" That youu cannot even eat vegetables or fruits that have been dedicated to someone other than God. So i dont understand why there is hub hub only on meat and cutting it in a special way. Second, what does it mean that upon which the name of God has not been mentioned? What does it mean precisely? In light of Quran, can you eat something (incuding meat) on which no other name (including God's) has been mentioned? One thing is clear, I cant eat anything dedicated to someone else. But what if I eat something not dedicated to anyone? Can I eat meat found in local wal-mart? That meat is electricuted with machines. I dont think someone stands there saying 'you are hereby sacrificed in the name of wal-mart'. What if i take that meat, which has not been killed in anyone's name, and cook it, and then in the name of God eat it?

Salaam, M-R-J mentioned in 505, 5515 & 19. Someone one the Beeb board picked this up, it appears as a logical error in translation. Hans Wehr is brief on the word, disorder, confusion, jumble. 5519 in Rashad translation calls it "seperate", is there any other entries in Lane that anyone knows about or can offer explanations merging vs an inviolable barrier seems contradictory in translation. thanks, 2553 Khalifa He is the One who merges (M-R-J) the two seas; one is fresh and palatable, while the other is salty and undrinkable. And He separated them with a formidable, inviolable barrier (evaporation). Shakir And He it is Who has made two seas to flow freely, the one sweet that subdues thirst by its sweetness, and the other salt that burns by its saltness; and between the two He has made a barrier and inviolable obstruction. "Progressive Muslims" And He is the One who merges the two bodies of water. This is fresh and palatable and this is salty and bitter. And He made between them a partition and an inviolable barrier.

Peace, The truth and Falsehood And say ?The truth has come and falsehood has perished. Falsehood is always bound to perish!? No, We cast with the truth upon the falsehood, so it disrupts it, and then it retreats. And woe to you for what you have described. That is because God is the truth, and what they call on besides Him is falsehood. And God is the High, the Great. Say ?God is enough as a witness between me and you. He knows what is in the heavens and the earth. As for those who believe in falsehood and reject God, they are the losers.? That is because God is the truth, and that which they call on besides Him is falsehood, and that God is the High, the Great. Say ?The truth has come; while falsehood can neither initiate anything, nor resurrect.? No falsehood could enter it, presently or afterwards; a revelation from a Most Wise, Praiseworthy. Or do they say ?He has fabricated lies about God!? If God willed, He could have sealed your heart. And God erases the falsehood and affirms the truth with His words. He is fully aware of what is inside the chests. That is because those who disbelieve followed falsehood, while those who believe followed the truth from their Lord. God thus cites for the people their examples. The Straight Path There is no compulsion in the system; the proper way has been made clear from the wrong way. Whoever rejects evil, and believes in God, then he has grasped the most solid branch that will never break . God is Hearer, Knower. And hold firmly to the rope of God, all of you, and do not be separated. And remember God?s blessing upon you when you were enemies and He united your hearts, then you became with His blessing as brothers; and you were on the verge of a pit of fire and He saved you from it; it is thus that God clarifies for you His signs that you may be guided. And let there be a nation amongst you which calls towards good, and orders kindness, and deters evil. And these are the successful ones. And do not be like those who separated and differed after the clarity had come to them. And for them is a painful retribution. As for those who believe in God and hold fast to Him, He will admit them in a mercy from Him and a bounty, and He will guide them to Himself, a Straight Path. And strive in the cause of God its truly deserved striving. He is the One who has chosen you, and He has made no hardship for you in the system, the creed of your father Abraham; He is the One who named you ?those who have surrendered? from before as well as in this. So let the messenger be witness over you and you be witness over mankind. So hold the assembly and contribute towards betterment and hold tight to God, He is your patron. What an excellent Patron, and what an excellent Supporter. And whosoever surrenders himself completely to God, while he is righteous, then he has taken hold of the strongest bond. And to God all matters will return. God and His messages are our only guide In the name of God, the Almighty, the Most Merciful. Praise be to God, the Lord of the worlds. The Almighty, the Most Merciful. Possessor of the Day of Judgment. You alone we serve, and You alone we seek for help. Guide us to the straight path. The path of those whom You have blessed, not those who have incurred the wrath, nor the misguided. A.L.M. This is the Scripture in which there is no doubt, a guide for the righteous. Those who believe in the unseen, and establish the system, and from Our provisions to them they spend. And those who believe in what was sent down to you, and what was sent down before you, and regarding the Hereafter they are certain. These are the ones guided by their Lord, and these are the winners. We said ?Descend from it all of you, so when the guidance comes from Me, then whoever follows My guidance, they will have nothing to fear, nor will they grieve.? Say ?Whoever is an enemy to Gabriel, then know that he has sent it down into your heart by God?s permission, authenticating what is already present, and a guide and good news for the believers.? 2185 A month in early autumn (Ramadan), in which the quran was sent down as a guide to the people and a clarification of the guidance and the criterion. ? And God does not guide the wicked people.(225 and God does not guide the rejecting people (2264) You are not responsible for their guidance, but it is God who will guide whoever He wishes? God guides with it whoever follows His acceptance, to the ways of peace; and He brings them out of the darkness and into the light by His leave; and He guides them to a Straight Path. Such is the guidance of God, He guides with it whom He pleases of His servants. And if they set-up partners, then all that they had worked would fall away from them.

Salaam to all, when one calls to allah how does allah respond. 4060 , 2186 . And in various other ayat allah said he answers those who call on him. Your submisions should be only for him 729.and that you only call on him. With humility and in secret 755. Call on him with any of his beutifull names 7180. Call on him with any of his names and say your salah neither too loud or in alow voice, but follow a way in between 17110. To the prophets he sent either an angel 339 like to zacheria or he spoke to them 193, 197. But the quistion is how does he answer normal believers? If you know it would be very helpful. Salaam.

Thinking aloud voice. this verse implies 1-some of the things said in The Book are better/prefereable than others; we have to discern which ones are what we have to follow/perform; we have been given freedom to feel which ones are the best or 2-the best are unchangeable + the compound of all of them is the key and the verse is refering to our duty of being aware of the best and it seems the message in The Book is not clearly explicited but little difficult to interpret to spur our mind. Maybe there are other points from your understanding. If any of you feel like to comment, thank you.
