Here's a little food for thought 2219 They ask you about the wine (See 1241) and convenient times (See 2280). Tell them, ?In both of them there are great misdemeanours and some benefits for mankind. And the misdemeanour is even greater from its benefit?. And they also ask you, ?What is contribution?. Tell them, ?To Pardon (See 7199)?. That is how God explains to you His signs so that you use your common sense, 2280 And if there is anyone having difficulties ? thus allow it to postpone to a convenient time (2219). And if you are truthful it is better for you ? if you really know The word mai-sara-ti literally means at a time when a person is free, relief or convenient. In 2280 when a person is having difficulties in fulfilling his obligations, thus give him time until he is able to do it ? but he must be truthful whether he is able to fulfil it or not ? God knows what is in his heart. This word has been erroneously translated as ?gambling? in many verses by the conventional translators. It is illogical for a creditor to give time to the debtor so that he can gamble to pay back his debts.

salaam, this has probably been discussed pretty thoroughly already, but i don't want to sift through everything trying to find it. my question is regarding everyone's views on the role of the prophet. what does it mean to obey the messenger? i know some of you believe that he said absolutely nothing outside of quranic revelation regarding islamic law. do some of you believe him to have had some divine inspiration outside of the quran? or perhaps "obey the messenger" means to follow the moral code? or follow him as a leader of the muslim ummah of the time? also, if he was given divine inspiration outside of the quran, is it possible that things like ritual salaat and hajj were divinely inspired to him, and we may follow those ways of worship? if it's true that the prophet prayed the way sunnis do, then i imagine it would be more valid to believe because it was passed down through tradition rather than oral narration. also, to what extent do you all believe in the torah? was the torah a direct revelation from God? are we obligated to study that too, since it's part of "the Book" and we are to believe in the revelations to all prophets? one more question- i heard about a book about the division of islam. supposedly there were some jewish or christian tribes at the time who educated themselves in islam and purposfully brought about the sunni/shiite division because they were afraid of the spread of islam. does anyone know of a book addressing that issue? so much to learn..... thanks! blue
  • Reconsidering dietary prohibitions - IMPORTANT

Peace, In a recent debate I realised that perhaps our understanding of the dietary prohibitions was flawed. I for one had read the Quran's admonition to not eat of anything "dedicated to other than God" and taken it to mean that anything not expressly dedicated to another deity was OK. Therefore I took it to mean that meat that is dedicated to some other deity - as some sects/religions might - is clearly and manifestly haram. But here is the real question... Think for a moment on what "other than God" might actually mean logically. If meat is NOT DEDICATED TO God, is it not then DEDICATED TO OTHER THAN GOD?? Which means then that meat for consumption must be expressly dedicated to God. Think about it and discuss please. Peace.

Salam Sura 6940-48 In abdul malek's translation he translates the above verses as That this is verily the saying of an honored messenger; it is not the saying of a poet Little is ye believe! Nor is it the saying of a soothsayer little is it that ye remember! It is a revelation (Allah's words), from the Lord of the Worlds. And if he had invented false sayings concerning Us, We assuredly had taken him by the right hand and then severed his life-artery, and not one of you could have held Us off from him. But verily this is a Message for those who ward off evil. In the arabic, does it mention right hand and life artery? If it does, could it not mean that since the majority of people are righthanded (we can infer he was right handed), the prophet was writing the revelations by hand? And thus, if he was to have fabricated any revelations, God would have punished him severely, by cutting his life artery (on the wrist of his right hand)? As that's how he wrote/preserved the revelations for the people? Otherwise what was the point of mentioning right hand? Why not just kill him, or slit his throat or anything? Any thoughts? Nadia

MUHAAJIR EMIGRANT OR SURRENDER HAJARA / HAJARU = emigrate, dissociate, separate, part, secede, keep away (from) part company (with), to give up, renounce , forego, avoid, to abandon, SURRENDER, leave behind, relinquish, vacate, WADDO LAW TAKFURON KA-MAA KAFARO FA- TAKONON SAWAA' FA- LAA TATTAKHIDHO MIN -HUM AWLIYAA' H.ATTAA YUHAAJIRO FE SABEL 'ALLAAH FA- 'IN TAWALLAW FA- KHUDHO -HUM WA- UQTULO -HUM H.AYTHU WAJADTUMO -HUM WA- LAA TATTAKHIDHO MIN -HUM WALEY (AN) WA- LAA NAS.ER (AN) 489 They wish that you reject Faith, as they have rejected (Faith), and thus that you all become equal (like one another). So take not Auliya' (protectors or friends) from them, till they emigrate in the Way of Allah (to Muhammad SAW). But if they turn back (from Islam), take (hold) of them and kill them wherever you find them, and take neither Auliya' (protectors or friends) nor helpers from them. 489 The believers are warned from taking protectors from the disbelievers until they migrate in the way of Allah and if they turn back then all the disbelievers should be killed wherever they are found and this means that all the disbelievers of Madina should be killed for the reason that they did not migrate in the cause of Allah. Why those who are disbelievers should migrate in the way of Allah? Why should they be killed for not migrating in the way of Allah? Why they should leave their homes and proceed where and for what? To make sense the translators have added in brackets (from Islam) to mean that killing is for those who have become apostates. It is actually those who do not migrate and turn away from migrating should be killed. Emigrate in the way of Allah Is emigration included in the list of the way of Allah? Verse revealed in Madina To which city (TAIF, JEDDAH or OTHER) should the disbelievers migrate to become the protectors of the believers? There is lot of confusion and no one can grasp the message of the verse properly and distinctly while the word YUHAAJIR is understood and translated as EMIGRATE. The very next verse clears the way to understand the real meaning of YUHAAJIR. EXCEPT THOSE who join a group between whom and you there is a treaty (of peace) or those who approach you with hearts restraining them from fighting you as well as fighting their own people. If Allah had pleased He could have given them power over you and they would have fought you therefore if they withdraw from you but fight you not and (instead) send you (guarantees of) peace then Allah hath opened no way for you (to war against them). You will find others that wish to have security from you and security from their people. Every time they are sent back to temptation, they yield thereto. If they withdraw not from you, nor offer you peace, nor restrain their hands, take (hold) of them and kill them wherever you find them. In their case, We have provided you with a clear warrant against them. 490/91 Allah says kill all those who turns away from His way EXCEPT they join a group with whom there is a treaty of peace, and those whose hearts retrain them from fighting with the believers or their own people and those who withdraw from fight and sends guarantees of peace. Allah has FORBIDDEN the believers to FIGHT with such people. BUT THOSE WITHDRAW NOT, NOR OFFER PEACE NOR RESTRAIN THEIR HANDS, SHOULD BE KILLED WHEREVER THEY ARE FOUND. It is not MIGRATION in the way of Allah but it is peace, treaty and no fighting and no oppression and tumult and no injustice and whoever upholds these commitments then it is forbidden to fight with him. And slay them wherever ye catch them and turn them out from where they have turned you out; for tumult and oppression are worse than slaughter; but fight them not at the Sacred Mosque unless they (first) fight you there; but if they fight you slay them. Such is the reward of those who suppress faith. But if they cease Allah is Oft-Forgiving Most Merciful. And FIGHT THEM on UNTIL THERE IS NO more TUMULT or OPPRESSION and there prevail JUSTICE and faith in Allah; but if they cease let there be no hostility except to those who practice oppression. 2191/192/193 No fighting no killing when there is no oppression, no tumult and no hostility when the disbelievers cease from fighting. But when the forbidden months are past then fight and slay the pagans wherever ye find them and seize them beleaguer them and lie in wait for them in every stratagem (of war); but if they REPENT and (UPHOLDS THE COMMITMENTS OF FIGHTING) and GIVE THEM PURITY then open the way for them for Allah is Oft-Forgiving Most Merciful. If one amongst the pagans ask thee for asylum grant it to him so that he may hear the word of Allah and then escort him to where he can be secure that is because they are men without knowledge. 95/6 No fighting in the prohibited months but if they do then fighting is allowed in those months also, but if they repent and uphold the commitments of fighting and give them purity then the way of the disbelievers should be set free. But if they REPENT, UPHOLDS THE COMMITMNET OF FIGHTING AND GIVE THEM PURITY then they are your brethren in religion. (In this way) We explain the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) in detail for a people who know. 911 The disbelievers become the brothers of the believers in the system of Allah as long as they uphold their commitments and give them purity. It is clear from the above explanation that it is not emigration of the unbelievers from Madina to Mecca (while they don't believe in Allah) that sanctions them to be killed by the believers but the declination to SURRENDER IN THE WAY OF ALLAH. (YUHAAJIRO FE SABEL 'ALLAAH) Not upholding the commitments of Allah regarding FIGHTING. WA- LAW 'AN(NA) -NAA KATABNAA cALAY -HIM 'AN UQTULO ANFUS -KUM 'AW UKHRUJO MIN DIYAAR -KUM MAA FAcALO -HU 'ILLAA QALEL MIN -HUM WA- LAW 'ANNA -HUM FAcALO MAA YOcAZ.ON BI- -HI LA- KAANA KHAYR(AN) LA- -HUM WA- ASHADD TATHBET(AN) 466 If We had decreed for them to sacrifice their lives or to LEAVE THEIR HOMES very few of them would have done it but if they had done what they were (actually) told it would have been best for them and would have gone farthest to strengthen their (faith). 466 Allah has never ORDERED the believers to LEAVE their homes and if He had ordered then very FEW believers would have obeyed His commands. There is no room for argument left for those who uphold that emigration in the way of Allah was obligatory for the believers after reading the above verse. WA- MAN YUHAAJIR FE SABEL 'ALLAAH YAJID FE AL- 'ARD. MURAAGHAM(AN) KATHER(AN) WA- SAcAH WA- MAN YAKHRUJ MIN BAYT -HI MUHAAJIR(AN) 'ILAA 'ALLAAH WA- RASOL -HI THUMMA YUDRIK -HU AL- MAWT FA- QAD WAQAcA 'AJR -HU cALAA 'ALLAAH WA- KAANA 'ALLAAH GHAFOR(AN) RAH.EM(AN) 4100 He who emigrates (from his home) in the Cause of Allah will find on earth many dwelling places and plenty to live by. And whosoever leaves his home as an emigrant unto Allah and His Messenger, and death overtakes him, his reward is then surely incumbent upon Allah. And Allah is Ever Oft?Forgiving, Most Merciful. 4100 He who SURRENDERS in the way of Allah will find on the earth many constrained and wealthy and who exits from his house AS A SUBMITTER unto Allah and His messenger and thereafter death overtakes him his reward is then surely incumbent upon Allah. And Allah is Ever Oft?Forgiving, Most Merciful. WA- MAN YAKHRUJ MIN BAYT -HI MUHAAJIR(AN) 'ILAA 'ALLAAH WA- RASOL -HI And who exits from his house and EMIGRATES unto Allah and His messenger. No one can leave his home and EMIGRATE to Allah and His messenger, and if any think that is a logical explanation of the verse then he is a fool. EMIGRATION is linked to PLACES and not to Allah and His messenger. 'INNA 'ALLADHENA 'AAMANO WA- 'ALLADHENA HAAJARO WA- JAAHADO FE SABEL 'ALLAAH 'OLAA'IKA YARJON RAH.MAH 'ALLAAH WA- 'ALLAAH GHAFOR RAH.EM 2218 Verily, those who have believed, and those who SURRENDERED and have striven hard in the Way of Allah, all these hope for Allah's Mercy. They reply "We were weak and oppressed on earth." They (angels) say "Was not the earth of Allah spacious enough for you to emigrate therein?" Such men will find their abode in Hell - What an evil destination! 497 Verily! As for those whom the angels take (in death) while they wrong their souls, the angels say to them "In what (condition) were you?" They reply " We were of those who WERE WEAK on earth"." They (angels) say "Was not the earth of Allah spacious enough for you to SURRENDER therein? Such men will find their abode in Hell - What an evil destination! For these there is hope that Allah will forgive them, and Allah is Ever Oft Pardoning, Oft-Forgiving. 498/99 By reading the translated verse 497 we get an impression that no Muslims should stay with the unbelievers and should migrate from there and if they do not migrate then their abode is Hell. This is totally nonsense because in the present situation migration is beyond imagination. There are conditions, very hostile to Muslims in many countries, then where should all those Muslims MIGRATE? Will the Hell be allotted to him, who is a perfect Mumen in all respect, who is without sins, but his only fault is that he did not MIGRATE? Is this not ridiculous and nonsense. An in depth study is required to unearth the real meaning of the verse 97/ 98/99 Before we jump to verse 97 let us first dig in the verse 98/99 and we should remember that these verses are in context to JIHAD Those who are the weak ones among men, women and children who cannot manage a stratagem, nor are they able to guide their way. For these there is hope that Allah will forgive The hope of forgiveness is there for those who do not TRICK nor they could GUIDE their WAY and the punishment of dwelling in the Hell can be WAIVED OFF. It means those who TRICK and could GUIDE their WAY but DO NOT then their abode is hell and this is Z.AALIME ANFUS -HIM. Just two verse before this Allah has given a clue of those who are Z.AALIME ANFUS -HIM. Not equal are those believers who sit (at home) and receive no hurt and those who strive and fight in the cause of Allah with their goods and their persons. Allah hath granted a grade higher to those who strive and fight with their goods and persons than to those who sit (at home) unto all (in faith) hath Allah promised good but those who strive and fight hath He distinguished above those who sit (at home) by a special reward. Ranks specially bestowed by Him and Forgiveness and Mercy. For Allah is Oft-Forgiving Most Merciful. 495/96 The Z.AALIME ANFUS -HIM are those people who avoid Jihad and sit at home. Those who believe in Allah and the last day ask thee for no exemption from fighting with their goods and persons. And Allah knoweth well those who do their duty. It is only those who believe not in Allah and the Last Day and whose hearts are in doubt that ask your leave (to be exempted from Jihad). So in their doubts they waver .944/45 Those who do not believe in Allah and the Last day ASK EXEMPTION FROM FIGHTING When a Surah comes down enjoining them to believe in Allah and to strive and fight along with his apostle those with wealth and influence among them ask thee for exemption and say "Leave us (behind) we would be with those who sit (at home)." They prefer to be with (the women) who remain behind (at home) their hearts are sealed and so they understand not. 986/87 A verse commanding to fight but the hypocrite refuses to fight but like to sit at home. And those who made excuses from the Arabs came (to you, O Prophet SAW) asking your permission to exempt them (from the battle), and those who had lied to Allah and His Messenger sat at home (without asking the permission for it); a painful torment will seize those of them who disbelieve. 990 Those who present EXCUSE for EXEMPTION to FIGHT and those who LIED to Allah and His messenger and SAT at home, they in fact are disbelievers and they will be punished. There is no blame on THOSE WHO ARE WEAK or ill or who find no resources to spend , if they are sincere and true (in duty) to Allah and His Messenger. No ground (of complaint) can there be against the Muhsinun (good-doers - see the footnote of V.9120). And Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. Nor (is there blame) on those who came to you to be provided with mounts, and when you said "I can find no mounts for you," they turned back, while their eyes overflowing with tears of grief that they could not find anything to spend (for Jihad). 991/92 There is no complaint against those WHO ARE WEAK and have no resources to fight if they are true to Allah. The ground (of complaint) is only against those who are rich, and yet ASK ECEMPTION. They are content to be with (the women) WHO SIT BEHINF (at home) and Allah has sealed up their hearts (from all kinds of goodness and right guidance) so that they know not (what they are losing). They will PRESENT THEIR EXCUSES to you when ye return to them. Say thou "Present no excuses we shall not believe you Allah hath already informed us of the true state of matters concerning you it is your actions that Allah and His apostle will observe in the end will ye be brought back to Him who knoweth what is hidden and what is open then will He show you the truth of all that ye did. They will swear to you by Allah when ye return to them that ye may leave them alone. So leave them alone For they are an abomination and Hell is their dwelling place a fitting recompense for the (evil) that they did. They (the hypocrites) swear to you (Muslims) that you may be pleased with them, but if you are pleased with them, certainly Allah is not pleased with the people who are Al-Fasiqun (rebellious, disobedient to Allah). 993/94/95/96 The complaint is against those who have the RESOURCES but REFUSE to fight, they present EXCUSES, they tell LIES to avoid FIGHTING and SIT at home and these are the Z.AALIME ANFUS -HIM Those who DISOBEYED the COMMANDS to FIGHT and SAT at home and presented EXCUSES were actually those who WRONGED themselves by not SURRENDERING themselves to the COMMANDS of Allah. 'ALLADHENA TATAWAFFAA -HUM AL- MALAA'IKAH Z.AALIME ANFUS -HIM FA- ALQAW AS- SALAM MAA KUNNAA NAcMAL MIN SO' BALAA 'INNA 'ALLAAH cALEM BI- MAA KUNTUM TAcMALON FA- UDKHULO ABWAAB JAHANNAM KHAALIDEN FE -HAA FA- LA- BI'S MATHWAA AL- MUTAKABBIREN 1628/29 "Those whose lives the angels take while they are doing WRONG TO THEMSELVES. Then will they make full SUBMISSION (saying) We used not to do any wrong. Nay! Surely Allah is Knower of what ye used to do.; "So enter the gates of Hell to dwell therein. Thus evil indeed is the abode of the arrogant ."1628/29 Those who are Z.AALIME ANFUS -HIM wronging themselves and who do not TUHAAJIRO FE -HAA surrender therein will offer full SURRENDER at the time of death 'INNA 'ALLADHENA 'AAMANO WA- HAAJARO WA- JAAHADO BI- AMWAAL -HIM WA- ANFUS -HIM FE SABEL 'ALLAAH WA- 'ALLADHENA 'AAWAW WA- NAS.ARO 'OLAA'IKA BAcD. -HUM AWLIYAA' BAcD. And as to those who believed but did not EMIGRATE, you owe no duty of protection to them until they EMIGRATE but if they seek your help in religion, it is your duty to help them except against a people with whom you have a treaty of mutual alliance, and Allah is the All-Seer of what you do. 872 If we take the literal meaning of the verse then it means that those who believed and stayed in MECCA did not owe protection from the PROPHET of anything and although it is DUTY of the prophet to help them in the SYSTEM if they come from Mecca to Madinah and those believers should not be helped against a people with whom the people of Madinah have a treaty of mutual alliance. What do we understand from such translation? This verse is revealed as regards to the believers who have not surrendered in the way of Allah. The prophet is prohibited to help such Muslims (in fighting) who do not follow the way of Allah (surrender to the commands of Allah) but if they surrender then such Muslims should be helped (in fighting) except with those, whom the prophet is having a treaty of peace. This verse further emphasises that YUHAAJIR OR MUHAAJIR do not mean emigration but surrender. WA- 'ALLADHENA 'AAMANO WA- HAAJARO WA- JAAHADO FE SABEL 'ALLAAH WA- 'ALLADHENA 'AAWAW WA- NAS.ARO 'OLAA'IKA HUM AL- MU'MINON H.AQQ(AN) LA- -HUM MAGHFIRAH WA- RIZQ KAREM 874 And those who believed, and EMIGRATED and strove hard in the Cause of Allah (Al-Jihad), as well as those who gave (them) asylum and aid; - these are the believers in truth, for them is forgiveness and Rizqun Karim (a generous provision i.e. Paradise). 874 Today, no one is a believer in TRUTH because no one is EMIGRATING in the way of Allah; therefore to become true believers all MUSLIMS should EMIGRATE in way of Allah. Is this not nonsense. The above verse indicates that true believers are those who believe, surrender to Allah, and strives in the way of Allah The Arabs say "We believe." Say "You believe not but you only say, 'We have surrendered (in Islam),' for Faith has not yet entered your hearts. But if you obey Allah and His Messenger (SAW), He will not decrease anything in reward for your deeds. Verily, Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful." 4914 To be a true believer, FAITH and SURRENDER is a must FA- 'AAMANA LA- -HU LOT. The Jews or Christians were not MUHAAJIR in the way of Allah but they were the first to SURRENDER and those who helped them and those who followed them with kindness, are all pleased with Allah and Allah is pleased with them. Certainly, He is unto them full of Kindness, Most Merciful. 9117 Allah has forgiven the Prophet, and those who SURRENDERED (to the will of Allah) and those who HELPED and those who followed him in the time of distress, after the hearts of a party of them had nearly deviated (from the Right Path), but He accepted their repentance. Certainly, He is unto them full of Kindness, Most Merciful. Is forgiveness so easy? According to the translators the above verse is meant for the MECCANS because ONLY they EMIGRATED from MECCA to MADINA What about those who were the RESIDENTS of Madinah who did not EMIGRATE but believed, helped and followed prophet in times of distress, are they omitted from the list of those who were FORGIVEN. And verily, it is Allah Who indeed is the Best of those who make provision. 2258 Literally those who migrated from Mecca to Madinah and died while fighting or natural death in Madinah will be provided a good provision by Allah. Is that so easy without submitting to Allah? What about those who believed, and surrendered to Allah and died? Is there any provision for them? Nay whoever SURRENDERS his way to Allah and is a doer of good he will get his reward with his Lord; on such shall be no fear nor shall they grieve. 2112 Do they seek other than the system of Allah, while to Him SURRENDERED all creatures in the heavens and the earth, willingly or unwillingly. And to Him shall they all be returned. 383 And who turns away from the sect of Abraham but such as debase their souls with folly? Him We chose and rendered pure in this world and he will be in the Hereafter in the ranks of the righteous. When his Lord said unto him SURRENDER! He said I have surrendered to the Lord of the Worlds.." 2130/131 So if they dispute with you (Muhammad SAW) say "I have SUBMITTED my way to Allah, and those who follow me." And say to those who were given the Scripture (Jews and Christians) and to those who are gentiles "Do you (also) SUBMIT yourselves?" If they do, they are rightly guided; but if they turn away, your duty is only to convey the Message; and Allah is All-Seer of (His) slaves. 320

Salam All I just received my copy of lane and will be starting my systematic study as soon as I can...would like some suggestions from people who've been down this road as i can avoid time consuming errors and any advice will be much appreciated! Please tell me how you started? did u use the pc extensively? Was there any special software/script..I'm leaning towards access and a transliterated version so that I can find roots easier and don't need to upgrade my scripts...and put them together if need be.... Did you start with a basic plan? If so what was it? Can you tell me the mistakes you made so that I can avoid them? I don't really know much right now so help is sorely needed!! Thank you all very much in advance! Nadia

THE MASJID It is strange that even after 1425 years, the guided Muslims are still struggling hard to know the correct meaning of certain words and interpretations of certain verses mentioned in the Quran. The conspirators corrupted the DEN, which was perfected by Allah, and the Scholars, through their inferior understanding of the QURAN, continued this corruption further. The subsequent scholars had more faith and belief in the conspirators and therefore they continued with their corrupted meanings and interpretations without using their common sense and logic. When I read all the verses of the Quran containing the word MASJID, I found that the meaning "place of worship" is not in harmony with the meaning of the verse. The meaning however does not fit in the verses and in some verses it sounds funny. WA- KA- DHAALIKA AcTHARNAA cALAY -HIM LI- YAcLAMO 'ANNA WAcD 'ALLAAH H.AQQ WA- 'ANNA AS- SAAcAH LAA RAYB FE -HAA 'IDH YATANAAZAcON BAYNA -HUM 'AMR -HUM FA- QAALO IBNO cALAY -HIM BUNYAAN (AN) RABB -HUM AcLAM BI- -HIM QAALA 'ALLADHENA GHALABO cALAA 'AMR -HIM LA- NATTAKHIDHANNA cALAY -HIM MASJID (AN) 1821 And thus We made their case known to the people, that they might know that the Promise of Allah is true, and that there can be no doubt about the Hour. (Remember) when they (the people of the city) disputed among themselves about their case, they said "Construct a building over them, their Lord knows best about them," (then) those who won their point said (most probably the disbelievers) "We verily shall build a place of worship over them." 1821 (Dr. Mohsin Khan) "Let us surely build a place of worship over them." 1821 (Abdullah Yousuf Ali) We verity shall build a place of worship over them. 1821 (Pickthall) Surely we will raise over them a place of worship. 1821 (Daryabdai) AKHADH / ITTAKHADH = to take, to obtain receive to get to seize grab to take hold to perceive, notice, to gather, understand, infer deduce, to keep, adhere, to observe to take over adopt embrace follow copy imitate to accept to admonish, urge, drive, make use of. REFERENCE FROM THE QURAN FOR "NATTAKHIDH" And he (the man) from Egypt who bought him, said to his wife "Make his stay comfortable, may be he will profit us or (NATTAKHIDH) we shall take him as a son." Thus did We establish Yusuf (Joseph) in the land, that We might teach him the interpretation of events. And Allah has full power and control over His Affairs, but most of men know not. 1221 LAcANA -HU 'ALLAAH WA- QAALA LA- ATTAKHIDHANNA MIN cIBAAD -KA NAS.EB(AN) MAFROD.(AN) 4118 Allah cursed him. And he (Satan) said "I will take an appointed portion of your slaves; Does NATTAKHIDHANNA means WE SHALL BUILD WE SHALL ADHERE UNTO / TAKE UPON THEIR ACT OF COMPLIANCE What was the ACT OF COMPLIANCE of the people of the caves? We gave strength to their hearts Behold they stood up and said "Our Lord is the Lord of the heavens and of the earth NEVER SHALL WE CALL UPON ANY GOD OTHER THAN HIM if we did; we should indeed have uttered an enormity!" 1814 The ACT OF COMPLIANCE of the people of caves was that they refused to call any god other than the Lord of the heavens and the earth. I have a picture of the caves but failed to find any Masjid or structure raised in or around the caves. QUL 'AMARA RABB -E BI- AL- QIST. WA- AQEMO WUJOH -KUM cINDA KULL MASJID WA- UDcO -HU MUKHLIS.EN LA- -HU AD- DEN KA-MAA BADA'A -KUM TAcODON 729 Say (O Muhammad SAW) My Lord has commanded justice and (said) that you should face Him only (i.e. worship none but Allah and face the Qiblah, i.e. the Ka'bah at Makkah during prayers) in each and every place of worship, in prayers (and not to face other false deities and idols), and invoke Him only making your religion sincere to Him by not joining in worship any partner to Him and with the intention that you are doing your deeds for Allah's sake only. As He brought you (into being) in the beginning, so shall you be brought into being (on the Day of Resurrection) . 729 (Dr Mohd. Mohsin Khan) Say "My Lord hath commanded justice; and that ye set your whole selves (to him) at every time and place of prayer 729 (Abdulah Yousuf Ali) Say My Lord enjoineth justice. And set your faces, upright (toward Him) at every place of worship 729 (Pickthall) Say thou; my Lord hath enjoined equity, and that ye shall set your faces aright at every prostration, 729 (Daryabadi) AQEMO WUJOH -KUM cINDA KULL MASJID Set your faces at EVERY MASJID How did the prophet and his followers face EVERY MASJID when there was not a SINGLE MASJID in Mecca? Those who hold the MASJID as physical let them demonstrate how will they set their faces at EVERY MASJID of the world? It is impossible to set / faces at EVERY MASJID of the world AS THERE ARE THOUSANDS OF MASAAJID IN THE WORLD. Facing the mosques means standing outside the mosques. Do we pray outside the mosques? When we are inside the mosque to pray we don't face the mosque but we face the walls If MASJID is a place of worship then how did the prophet face every place of worship? What is the purpose and gain behind facing every MASJID or place of worship? Is the meaning of Masjid prostration? Is the meaning of WUJOH KUM face Him only / set your whole selves? SEE THE FOUR TRANSLATION HOW THEY DIFFER AND CONTRADICT WITH EACH OTHER. The word KULL (EVERY) is not related to the PHYSICAL MASJID but to the ACT OF COMPLIANCE. Say "My Lord hath commanded justice; and that ye set your DIRECTIONS at EVERY ACT OF COMPLIANCE and call upon Him making your devotion sincere to Him in the System such as he created you in the beginning so shall ye return. "729 YAA BANE 'AADAM KHUDHO ZENAH -KUM cINDA KULL MASJID WA- KULO WA- ISHRABO WA- LAA TUSRIFO 'INNA -HU LAA YUH.IBB AL- MUSRIFEN 731 O Children of Adam! Take your adornment (by wearing your clean clothes), while praying and going round (the Tawaf of) the Ka'bah, and eat and drink but waste not by extravagance, certainly He (Allah) likes not Al-Musrifun (those who waste by extravagance). 731 O children of Adam! Wear your beautiful apparel at every time and place of prayer 731 O Children of Adam! Look to your adornment at every place of worship, 731 O Children of Adam! Take your adornment at every worship 731 ZEENAH = embellishment ornament adornment decoration d?cor clothes attire finery toilette In verse 729 we came to know that the word MASJID means a general place of worship and does not have any link with the Muslim MASJID (according to the translators) How was this order of Allah executed in Mecca when there was no mosque? What the DISBELIEVERS understood from this verse and in which MASJID did they go with their adornments? CHILDREN of Adam include Jews, Christians, DISBELIEVERS, Believers and others. For Jews their MASJID is Synagogue For Christians their MASJID is the Church For the DISBELIEVERS their MASJID is Temple of idols For BELIEVERS there is no MASJID in Mecca (because the verse being revealed in Mecca) Allah ordering the JEWS, the CHRISTIANS, and the DISBELIEVERS to take their adornments at their EVERY MASJID and thus encouraging them to continue with their PRAYERS with the adornments The JEWS pray to UZAIR believing him as a Son of Allah The CHRISTIANS pray to JESUS believing him as a Son of Allah. The DISBELIEVERS pray to IDOLS believing them as a form of god. How shall Allah order the Children of Adam (except the believers in prophet Muhammad pbuh) to continue with their prayers at EVERY MASJID when it is an ACT OF BLASPHEMY? O Children of Adam take your adornments at EVERY ACT OF OBEDIENCE / COMPLIANCE and eat and drink but waste not by extravagance 731 Even while showing a way to the stranger or a traveler the ACT OF COMPLIANCE should be ADORNED with courtesy and love and hoping that Allah will be pleased with this act. Nothing! Allah destroyed His own MASJID is it possible? Why only one MASJID was destroyed? (And We said) "If you do good, you do good for your own selves, and if you do evil (you do it) against yourselves." Then, when the second promise came to pass, (We permitted your enemies) to deteriorate your faces and to let them enter the MASJID as you ENTERED it the first time, and to destroy whatever the SUBLIME is, in utter destruction. 177 SUBLIME noble and wonderful and causing deep feelings (LONGMAN DICTIONARY) The punishment sentenced to the Jews was that their Jerusalem MOSQUE was destroyed while the punishment sentenced to other communities was that they were wiped out from the face of the earth. They ENTERED the MASJID but did not destroy the MASJID and neither there was anything in the MASJID worth destroying but still the faces of the Jews (YASO'O) worsened and the destruction was of (cALAW) sublime. THE SUBLIME WAS Then did We grant you the Return as against them We gave you increase in resources and sons and made you the more numerous in manpower. 176 The enemies never ENTERED the physical MASJID but entered the ACT OF COMPLIANCE to destroy the SUBLIME of the Jews. Nonsense When the first of the warnings came to pass We sent against you Our servants given to terrible warfare They BECAME HARDENED AND RUPTURED THE MONASTERIES and it was a warning (completely) fulfilled. 175 In the first attack the MONASTERIES were attacked and ripped apart and in the second attack the enemies entered the ACT OF COMPLIANCE (of Allah) and destroyed their resources and their sons that were sublime to them and therefore their faces became sorrowful. The Jews entered the ACT OF COMPLIANCE and ABUSED it and paid the penalty WHAT WAS THE ACT OF COMPLIANCE OF THE JEWS, WHICH THEY ABUSED AND PAID THE PENALTY ACT OF COMPLIANCE And remember We took a COVENANT from the children of Israel (to this effect) worship none but Allah; treat with kindness your parents and kindred and orphans and those in need; speak fair to the people; be steadfast in prayer; and practice regular charity. And remember We took your COVENANT (to this effect) SHED NO BLOOD AMONGST YOU NOR TURN OUT YOUR OWN PEOPLE FROM YOU HOMES and this ye solemnly RATIFIED and to this ye can bear witness. ABUSED ACT OF COMPLIANCE AFTER THIS IT IS YOU THE SAME PEOPLE WHO SLAY AMONG YOURSELF AND BANISH A PARTY OF YOU FROM THEIR HOMES; assist (their enemies) against them in guilt and rancor; and if they come to you as captives ye ransom them though it was not lawful for you to banish them. Then is it only a part of the Book that ye believe in and do ye reject the rest? But what is the reward for those among you who behave like this but DISGRACE IN THIS LIFE. And on the Day of Judgment they shall be consigned to the most grievous penalty. The works of such are in vain and in Fire shall they abide 917 WHAT IS THE DISBELIEF OF THE POLYTHEIST? DISBELIEF IN ONE ALLAH OR THE MOSQUE? Yes it is in One Allah they disbelieved and therefore it is not for them to INHABIT the ACT OF COMPLIANCE of Allah while they are witnesses against their ownselves of disbelief. Verily those will INHABIT the ACTS OF COMPLIANCE OF ALLAH who believe in Allah and the Last Day executes the commitments and gives purity and fears none but Allah. It is they who are expected to be on true guidance. 918 Verily those who believe in Allah and the Last Day and executes the commitments or the covenants which he has covenanted with Allah and gives them purity and fears none but Allah are supposed to be on right guidance and they INHABIT the ACT OF COMPLIANCE / obedience of Allah 24 hours a day round the clock. MAA KAANA LI- AL- MUSHRIKEN 'AN YAcMURO MASAAJID 'ALLAAH It is not for the Mushrikun to MAINTAIN the Mosques of Allah Which Muslim will employ disbelievers for the maintenance of the mosque? Even today when there is an environment of peace between the believers and the disbelievers, no Muslim would ever employ any disbeliever for the maintenance of the Masjid let alone at the time of the prophet when there was hostility 24 hours a day. How many MASAAJID did the disbelievers built in Medina of their own and maintained it. Why should the polytheist maintain the MASJID of Allah while they do not believe in Allah and His messenger? Why should they spend money on maintenance of the mosques of the believers rather than spending on their own temples? WILL A SUNNI maintain a MASJID of SHIITE or a SHIITE maintain a MASJID of the SUNNI. NO! If these two sects cannot maintain each other's Masjid then how do we expect the staunch disbelievers to maintain the MASAAJID in which they do not pray and while they consider the believers as their strong enemies. WA- 'ALLADHENA ITTAKHADHO MASJID (AN) D.IRAAR (AN) WA- KUFR (AN) WA- TAFREQ (AN) BAYNA AL- MU'MINEN WA- IRS.AAD (AN) LI- MAN H.AARABA 'ALLAAH WA- RASOL -HU MIN QABLU WA- LA- YAH.LIFUNNA 'IN ARADNAA 'ILLAA AL- H.USNAA WA- 'ALLAAH YASHHAD 'INNA -HUM LA- KAADHIBON 9107 And as for those who put up a mosque by way of harming and disbelief, and to disunite the believers, and as an outpost for those who warred against Allah and His Messenger (Muhammad SAW) afore time, they will indeed swear that their intention is nothing but good. Allah bears witness that they are certainly liars. 9107 RASAD = to observe watch to monitor to surveillance to appropriate earmark allocate allot How a physical mosque could harm the believers? How a physical mosque could be put up in disbelief? How a physical mosque could ever create division among the believers? How a physical mosque could be used as an outpost? And those who MAKES USE OF the ACT OF COMPLIANCE to hurt and in disbelief, and creating divisions between the believers, and monitoring for those who warred against Allah and His Messenger of before, they will indeed swear that their intention is nothing but good. Allah bears witness that they are certainly liars' 9107 In a physical mosque there is no question of any DISBELIEF and no physical mosque can ever disunite the believers. But those hypocrites who were wearing the mask of the ACT OF COMPLIANCE of Allah and mingled with the believers and kept a vigil on their every action while they monitored for those who warred against Allah and His messenger of before will certainly swear that their intention was nothing except good. Are the hypocrites lying to defend their putting up a physical MASJID to disunite the believers or lying to defend their ACTIONS to disunite the believers? And among the ARABS round about you, some are HYPOCRITES, and so are some among the people of Al-Madinah, they exaggerate and persist in HYPOCRISY, you (O Muhammad SAW) KNOW THEM NOT. We know them. We shall punish them twice, and thereafter they shall be brought back to a great (horrible) torment. 9101 Intention is always liked with the ACTIONS and every action has two aspects, GOOD and BAD. LAA TAQUM FE -HI 'ABAD (AN) LA- MASJID 'USSISA cALAA AT- TAQWAA MIN 'AWWAL YAWM AH.AQQ 'AN TAQOM FE -HI FE -HI RIJAAL YUH.IBBON 'AN YATAT.AHHARO WA- 'ALLAAH YUH.IBB AL- MUT.T.AHHIREN 9108 Never stand you therein. Verily, the mosque whose foundation was laid from the first day on piety is more worthy that you stand therein (to pray). In it are men who love to purify themselves. And Allah loves those who make themselves pure (i.e. who clean their private parts with dust . 9 108 Surprisingly the prophet is forbidden to stand in such mosque rather than praying? Verily the masjid founded from the first day on the piety Is there any mosque in the world, which is founded on piety and that too from the first day. Could this verse be linked to the physical MASJID. The building needs cement steel sand etc and not piety. In it are men who love to purify themselves Those who are IN IT love to purify themselves means, those who live, dwell or inhabit and NOT those who VISIT the mosque for PRAYERS and for sure nobody is dwelling in the MASJID. Those who are IN IT love to purify themselves what do we mean by purification, Physical cleaning (as interpreted by Mohsin Khan) or spiritual cleaning? WA- MAA KAANA JAWAAB QAWM -HI 'ILLAA 'AN QAALO AKHRIJO -HUM MIN QARYAH -KUM 'INNA -HUM UNAAS YATAT.AHHARON 782 And the answer of his people was only that they said "Drive them out of your town, these are indeed men who want to be pure (from sins)!" 782 FA- MAA KAANA JAWAAB QAWM -HI 'ILLAA 'AN QAALO AKHRIJO 'AAL LOT. MIN QARYAH -KUM 'INNA -HUM UNAAS YATAT.AHHARON 2756 There was no other answer given by his people except that they said "Drive out the family of Lout (Lot) from your city. Verily, these are men who want to be clean and pure!" 2756 The people of LUT considered LUT and his family as pure and clean from the sins, therefore those who are in the MASJID are those who love to be clean and PURIFY themselves from sins. The objective of MASJID (Verse 10 is very clear. It is to purify the people from sins and there is no such mosque in this world, which is able to do this job. The word MASJID in the Quran does not refer to any place of worship, but it was the deliberate corruptions by the conspirators to divert the people from the path of Allah. The meaning of MASJID is the ACT OF COMPLIANCE from the root word of Sajada, which is Submit. Never SUPPORT you therein. Verily, the ACT OF COMPLIANCE whose foundation was laid from the first day on piety is more worthy that you SUPPORT therein. In it are men who love to purify themselves from (sins) and Allah loves those who make themselves pure (from sins) 9108 It is those who are 24 hours engaged in the ACT OF COMPLIANCE of Allah love to purify themselves from the sins and those who VISIT the physical MASJID are simply following the rituals enjoined on them by their scholars. 'A- FA- MAN 'ASSASA BUNYAAN -HU cALAA TAQWAA MIN 'ALLAAH WA- RID.WAAN KHAYR 'AM MIN 'ASSASA BUNYAAN -HU cALAA SHAFAA JURUF HAAR FA- INHAARA BI- -HI FE NAAR JAHANNAM WA- 'ALLAAH LAA YAHDE AL- QAWM AZ.- Z.AALIMEN 9109 Is it then he, who laid the foundation of his building on piety for Allah and His Good Pleasure, better, or he who laid the foundation of his building on an undetermined brink of a precipice, so that it crumbles with him in the Fire of Hell. And Allah guides not the people who are the Zalimun (cruel, violent, proud, polytheist and wrong-doer). 9109 This verse is emphasising on the BUILDING of an INDIVIDUAL and every individual cannot build a MASJID. Allah is not pleased with the physical structures but pleased with the ACTS, which are executed according to HIS commands There are two STRUCTURES; the one, which is founded on piety and for Allah and His pleasure, is better than the other STRUCTURE whose foundation is on the brink of precipice (without faith) ready to crumble to pieces. So that it crumbles with him in the Fire of Hell No PHYSICAL STRUCTURE will crumble with the disbeliever in the fire of the Hell but it is the STRUCTURE of polytheism and DISBELIEF in one Allah that will crumble with him in the fire of the Hell. Allah guides not those who are ZAALIMUN who build their buildings whose foundation is on the brink of precipice (without faith) but guides those who are righteous and execute all ACTS OF COMPLIANCES for His good pleasure. LAA YAZAAL BUNYAAN -HUM 'ALLADHE BANAW REBAH FE QULOB -HIM 'ILLAA 'AN TAQAT.T.AcA QULOB -HUM WA- 'ALLAAH cALEM H.AKEM 9110 The building, which they built, will never cease to be a cause of hypocrisy and doubt in their hearts, unless their hearts are cut to pieces. (i.e. till they die). And Allah is All-Knowing, All Wise. 9110 YAZAAL = to remove eliminate to get rid of to put an end to RIBA = to to increase grow ????? ??? to exceed be more than The verse is wrongly translated and corrupted. Their STRUCTURE, which they built, will never put an end to their (KUFR verse 9107) GROWING in their HEARTS unless their hearts are cut to pieces. And Allah is All-Knowing, All Wise. 9110 Is PHYSICAL building capable of growing DISBELIEF / HYPOCRISY in the hearts? It is the POLYTHEISM, which they have built in their hearts, will not end their disbelief in One Allah unless their hearts are cut to pieces. The disbelievers in the veil of the Act of compliance intended to harm and disunite the believers and monitored for those who warred against Allah and His messenger of before and when they were caught they lied to defend their actions. The polytheism, which they built, would never put an end to their growing disbelief in their hearts unless their hearts are cut to pieces. Prophet is warned not to SUPPORT such Acts of compliance whose foundation is on the brink of precipice built by the ZALIMUN and ready to crumble and ordered to SUPPORT the Acts of compliance whose foundation is on piety from the first day and for the pleasure of Allah. The ACT OF COMPLIANCE is only for those who fear Allah According to the corrupted translation Muslims should enter the mosque in fear and as per the correct translation those who fear Allah should enter mosque, and how many Muslims fear Allah. I believe only handfuls of Muslims who really fear Allah. To remember and praise Allah is the foremost duty of the believers and when it is executed that becomes an ACT OF COMPLIANCE or obedience or fulfillment. Salaams, I am surpised to read in a topic here ,A muslim is simply one who believes in the Oneness of God and does does good works i.e follows the streight way 6151-152. If this is the case then the majority of people in the world must be muslim obviosly who don't do shirk. This would apply to people of other faiths, who are muslim by virtue of believing in the One God and following the streight way whether they say they are or not. 4133,4615 Isn't it Surprising.

Peace, The old translations lead one to believe that Noah's son was not of his family because of unrighteous deeds. 011.046 YUSUFALI He said "O Noah! He is not of thy family For his conduct is unrighteous. So ask not of Me that of which thou hast no knowledge! I give thee counsel, lest thou act like the ignorant!" PICKTHAL He said O Noah! Lo! he is not of thy household; lo! he is of evil conduct, so ask not of Me that whereof thou hast no knowledge. I admonish thee lest thou be among the ignorant. SHAKIR He said O Nuh! surely he is not of your family; surely he is (the doer of) other than good deeds, therefore ask not of Me that of which you have no knowledge; surely I admonish you lest you may be of the ignorant While the new translation here seems to suggest that maybe his wife was impure? He said ?O Noah, he is not from your family, he was fathered illicitly, so do not ask what you have no knowledge of. I advise you not to be of the ignorant.? Any comments here?

peace all, I did not find any material on this subject so I will post a new topic about it. As Marie has pointed out, in order to avoid baseless arguments does not mean we have to stop giving fruitful opinions, even if others are not in agreement with them. For example, not many agreed with me when I said that Jesus was not a product of a virgin birth. It is controversial, but not 'unprofitable' when we bring the proofs to the table, or the questions to the table. Nabi, how do you use quran to come to this conclusion? She said ?My Lord, how can I have a son when no human has touched me?? He said ?It is thus that God creates what He wills, when He decrees a command, He merely says to it ?Be?, and it is.?

Wherever you may be, death will find you, even if you are in fortified towers. If any good befalls them, they Say ?This is from God,? and if any bad befalls them, they Say ?This is from you!? Say ?All is from God;? what is wrong with these people, they barely understand anything said! Any good that befalls you is from God, and any bad that befalls you is from yourself. We have sent you as a messenger to the people and God is enough as a witness. Can somebody explain the verses for me? I am confused. Does anything bad that happens to us is from us or from God?

peace everyone, In sura 23; 5-7 states "And they cover their private parts. Except around their mates, or those who are their dependants, they are free from blame. But whosoever seeks anything beyond this, then these are the transgressors." forgive me if this topic has already been discussed, but i haven't seen anything about it. my question is regarding masturbation. this verse is used to justify masturbation as being halal or haram. Another translation of verse 5 is "who abstain from sex. except from their wives and those whom their right hands posess." some take this to mean that your "self" is included and some don't. any thoughts? blue

THE MASJID IS IT A PLACE OF WORSHIP? YAA BANE 'AADAM KHUDHO ZENAH -KUM cINDA KULL MASJID WA- KULO WA- ISHRABO WA- LAA TUSRIFO 'INNA -HU LAA YUH.IBB AL- MUSRIFEN 731 O Children of Adam! TAKE YOUR ADORNMENT (by wearing your clean clothes), while PRATYING and going ROUND (the TAWAF of) the Ka'bah, and eat and drink but waste not by extravagance, certainly He (Allah) likes not Al-Musrifun (those who waste by extravagance). 731 (Dr. Mohd. Mohsin Khan) O children of Adam! WEAR YOUR BEAUTIFUL APPAREL at EVERY TIME AND PLACE OF PRAYER 731 (Abdullah Yousuf Ali) O Children of Adam! LOOK TO YOUR ADORNMRNT at EVERY PLACE OF WORSHIP, 731 (Pickthall) O Children of Adam! TAKE YOUR ADORNMENT at EVERY WORSHIP 731 (Daryabadi) ALL FOUR TRANSLATIONS CONTRADICT WITH EACH OTHER ZEENAH = embellishment ornament adornment decoration d?cor clothes attire finery toilette How was this order of Allah executed in Mecca when there was NO MOSQUE IN MECCA? WHAT DO WE MEAN BY EVERY MASJID WHEN THERE WAS NONE IN MECCA WHEN THIS VERSE WAS REVEALED. IN WHICH MASJID DID THE PROPHET AND HIS FOLLOWERS GO WITH THEIR ADORNMENTS? THERE IS NO WORD PRAYER IN THE VERSE. WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THE WORD ADORNMENTS IN THE ABOVE VERSE? WHAT IS THE MEANING OF MASJID IN THE ABOVE VERSE.? IS THE VERSE SPEAKING OF A PHYSICAL MOSQUE WHICH WAS NOT THERE WHEN THIS VERSE WAS REVEALED? CAN ANYONE SHED LIGHT ON THE ABOVE VERSE? THANKS

Peace, Aidid translates sujud as submission, but, doesn't Islam mean submission? For example 2-112 Nay,-whoever submits aslama His whole self to Allah and is a doer of good,- He will get his reward with his Lord; on such shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve. 2-131 When his Lord said to him, "Submit," aslim he said, "I submit to the Lord of the universe." Idris, you said aslim/aslama can be translated as surrender...I think so, too. What does everybody else think? Sara

Peace, What do people read this situation to be? "And We raised the mount above them for the covenant they took, and We said to them ?Enter the gate in submission,? and We said to them ?Do not transgress the Sabbath,? and We took from them a solemn covenant. (4154) Layth

Peace all, From FM translation 4055.So be patient, for the promise of God is true, and seek forgiveness for your sin, and glorify and praise your Lord evening and morning. So know that there is no god besides God, and ask forgiveness of your sins and also for the believing men and believing women. And God knows your movements and your place of rest. 040.055 YUSUFALI Patiently, then, persevere for the Promise of Allah is true and ask forgiveness for thy fault, and celebrate the Praises of thy Lord in the evening and in the morning. PICKTHAL Then have patience (O Muhammad). Lo! the promise of Allah is true. And ask forgiveness of thy sin, and hymn the praise of thy Lord at fall of night and in the early hours. SHAKIR Therefore be patient; surely the promise of Allah is true; and ask protection for your fault and sing the praise of your Lord in the evening and the morning. KHALIFA Therefore, be patient, for GOD's promise is true, and ask forgiveness for your sin, and glorify and praise your Lord night and day. 047.019 YUSUFALI Know, therefore, that there is no god but Allah, and ask forgiveness for thy fault, and for the men and women who believe for Allah knows how ye move about and how ye dwell in your homes. PICKTHAL So know (O Muhammad) that there is no Allah save Allah, and ask forgiveness for thy sin and for believing men and believing women. Allah knoweth (both) your place of turmoil and your place of rest. SHAKIR So know that there is no god but Allah, and, ask protection for your fault and for the believing men and the believing women; and Allah knows the place of your returning and the place of your abiding. KHALIFA You shall know that "There is no other god beside GOD," and ask forgiveness of your sins and the sins of all believing men and women. GOD is fully aware of your decisions and your ultimate destiny. How do you understand the verses above? Let us suppose that the prophet is free from fault/error/sin, why God asked him seeking forgiveness for his sin? Marie

Peace all, I have a question How do you understand the chapter 80, The following is the first eleven verses He frowned and turned away. When the blind one came to him. And what makes you know, perhaps he is seeking to purify? Or to remember, so the remembrance will benefit him? As for the one who was rich. You were addressing yourself to him. And why does it concern you that he does not want to purify? And as for the one who came to you seeking. While he was fearful. You were too pre-occupied for him. No, this is but a reminder. Any comment appreciated Marie
