My friends most of them they are not traditional believing like Hadith etc. We do not have problem we don’t use hijab , some of them use. But it’s ok. Don’t go to debate about Quran, with them, they can’t accept somethings. I pay attentions this. Other ways no problem. Even man and women in the life.

The Quran emphasizes the equality of men and women in value. It highlights that the only superiority is in individual piety. In other words, people are equal, and only those who are more pious are considered superior in the eyes of Allah. In this section, I aim to demonstrate that women are not inferior to men in terms of physical and mental aspects (the brain is also physical). I hope that breaking down some prejudices and beginning to see the truth will be beneficial. (My Turkish article translated with machine) Peace Emre_1974tr Women are not inferior to men, just different. All you need to do is see both sexes nude to come to that conclusion. police Breaking down prejudices and ignorance will help people see the truth and will be beneficial to all. Thank you peace

I think I understand the gist of what you are saying but I don't agree with your interpretation. You can divorce in your fifties. Read 654 it can be directed to many age groups. People can drastically change and grow apart. It’s up to 2 individuals to work things out and cooperate and commit to the relationship and people’s growth/divergence. Every culture has practises and traditions. People are free to do as they wish so long as they don’t violate the commands. When you observe injustices, you learn to be just for yourself, and you learn what you value and what you should or feel you should uphold. We can compare the practises of cultures all day long, ultimately adults need to make sound choices of what they decide to uphold with or without cultural pressures and the consequences of such. Not always easy. Doing good even if you are barred from the pleasures/joys does not make the good deed nullified. That’s just the ego talking. We’re human so totally natural we want to give and enjoy but custody isn’t clear cut, it seems like an extrapolation. You have got 654 totally wrong.. It is not talking about an old woman who is not having menstrual cycles... But it talks about women who hides the truth so husband has a doubt so let them wait for 3 months..

Peace Wouldn't a loving husband want to be protective and kind with an equal as a wife whom they respect as a human being rather than an obedient servant? When a man says 'I want an obedient wife', it always sounds to me like it's coming from a place of ego and a cold heart rather than love. A loving man would say 'I want a loving wife' and would respect that he isn't the centre of her universe, rather God is and should be the centre of anyone's universe. She's an individual with goals, dreams, and a mind of her own. To be obedient is to have a slave-master relationship rather than a loving husband-and-wife relationship. This can also lead the man to disallow his wife to experience or pursue certain halal wants or needs because if she's not obeying him in every aspect of her life then apparently he's unhappy. This feels quite controlling. It feels wrong. A human being should not be controlled to the point where they can't recognise themselves anymore and become an extension of somebody else. To want an obedient wife is as if a man is treating her like a child and the man is the authority figure. That's different to say a healthy, loving male leader and best friend as a husband who wants to protect his wife. It feels like someone with a 'military mindset' would want an obedient partner whilst someone whose psychology is functioning normally just wants someone loyal, loving, and feminine. Perhaps a bit submissive? But only if the woman loves him back, has that type of personality and it's consensual. The above is my opinion. Is there Quranic evidence that women have to obey their husbands? Peace... First one has to understand what a real obedience is.... No obedience is obedience when done without the willingness of heart... Love is obedience if love is true... Real people or rather real couples are obedient to each other... Without being obedient to one another in situations where it matters there is no bond a pure relationship... If one cannot tolerate obedience better be away from relationships where obedience does matter a lot.. True believer believers obey Allah... That's key... But in family life there are always matters that need to obeyed by either wife or husband to streamline matters or sometimes both agree and obey together.. Sometimes one of them obey and one may be reluctant ... But if one of them has take a decision for which one of them not obeying then there must be reason from both sides... Let the decisions be right... There is no other obedience between husband and wife other than making decisions where it matters.. Husband is not god or wife is not goddess to obey in a sense.. All obedience is only to God alone.. But marriage life is with mutual respect and willingly two hearts joined to live a life facilitating their burdens in life by sharing each other and to pass time with pleasure and be together in good and bad times.. For such relationship to last obedience is key when it comes to making decisions.. It is very bad if all the decisions are taken one sided.. For example husband take all decisions and neglect all decisions of wife.. That's dictatorship... That may perhaps suit if wife illiterate or fool so husband takes all decisions.. Since marriage life is a bond decisions should be taken with discussions ...thats works... Even after discussions if no concrete conclusions and if still needs a decision for the sake of proceeding further better decide by one person and the other be cooperative on the decision taken though he or she is not agreeing... So obedience is part and parcel of marriage life... Even in any life style which has a bond/connection...friendahip etc.. We obey but with knowledge and discussion... Even in a government president may make the decision but better discuss with respective concerned.. So president obey and other obey... So in my comprehensive understanding and looking back in the parents life I do really think if a wife obey for everything to husband then she is a slave... My parents were obedient to each other in most of the time.. Lol.. And there is no relationship between them but mere dictatorship... In a simple language both should have a good mutual understanding and reflection and respect to both parties views and opinions so one may obey the decision of another... Or deny the decision by indicating the flaws.. In a nutshell no more obedience in a bond except in decision making.. But unfortunately men dictate terms in most marriage life.. That's pathetic... But if wife doesn't mind then it is not our concern.. Anyway it is a family life.. They married they should like how to maintain better relationship.. No need anyone to teach them... Thank you...

In case if this practice of surrogacy is permitted in anyone's assumption then my question is to them is.. The one who gave birth is allowed for him to marry her according to Quranic principles... Coz nursing mothers other than biological mother are forbidden to marry.. Since scientifically the one who birth to a surrogate child is biologically not his mother... With all these obvious contradictions hiw one would allow his and her sperm or rather fertilized egg into another woman's womb? Any idea...

Hi Sara, One of my close friends wore it for 2 years continuously and she works in real estate where you deal with all sorts of clients. I also accompany her on a few occasions and she had absolutely faced no issues. All of a sudden she stopped wearing it and when I asked why she said she started wearing it because of her field and she realized that there is no danger of not wearing it, now that she is established and known the folks, so no need to wear anymore. I just wanted to make a point when I saw your thread, to all those who wear hijab. I believe what counts is the modesty in you. There are many women who wear hijab and appear a lot more provocative in appearance than non-hijabi, it's the way you dress up clothes. Covering your hair and then dressing up in a way that warrants unnecessary attention is like defeating the whole purpose of being modest. Plus my view is that covering your head or face is not important as appearing overall modest the way you carry your personality. Regards

I devoutly wore a headscarf for many, many, years, I no longer adhere to it as a strict dress code. Everyone will have their own convictions as to why (for or against). Some people find discomfort, some people find comfort. In my experience it was my norm, people are adaptable. What may seem uncomfortable and unusual will soon be normal/tolerable. Everyone has their own perceptions/view of “you” and we can’t control that. Wearing a headscarf has the benefit of being identified as Muslim but I guess it may be a detriment in some cases. I feel without a headscarf you blend in more however maybe in a dominant headscarf wearing company/society that may not be the case. Everyone’s experiences will be different depending on where they live and their company.

Feminism and feminists is just like islam and muslims. Everbody has his own idea of what it is or of what they think everybody should think it is. Both, islam and feminism are really nice. There you are, with a license to blame them for every wrong in the world without ever any need to prove anything. Just spew out the standard overstale clichés and you are ok and a great freespeecher. There must be something really good and glorious about feminism and islam when manage to get they get such bad such bad ratings fro every side. Salaam

Peace Sisters I was wondering what your opinion and interpretation is on that a woman should not show her 'beauty spots' of her body. I read that beauty spots means the curves of a woman's body particularly bust & backside. When it comes to dresses, there's 1. loose fit, 2. regular fit, 3. slim/ tight fit and 4. bodycon/ extra-tight fit. I personally hate wearing loose clothes because they do not flatter my figure. I only like wearing them at home sometimes where nobody can see me but I much prefer regular fit. However, I think slim fit/ tight fit is very flattering because it can show off a person's figure nicely esp. if they're a slim person, it can show just how fit someone is more than regular fit. Do you think it's haram to wear bodycon dresses like this one? https//www.newlook.com/uk/womens/clothing/dresses/petite-black-organza-spot-puff-sleeve-dress/p/647884401 Do you also think it's haram to wear slim fit clothes such as slim-fit dresses? For example, a dress like this one https//www.newlook.com/uk/womens/clothing/dresses/urban-bliss-black-organza-sleeve-mini-dress/p/649449801 The slim fit one looks modest to me to be honest. Everything that needs to be Quranically covered is covered. However the model is very thin herself so if it were someone curvy wearing it, I guess they would look curvier so bust & behind would be more noticeable. However, would this be part of 'what ordinarily appears thereof'. Or does it depend on intention? for example, some people will wear a slim fit dress to appear provocative to the opposite gender so that men will think about them in a 'sensual' way. However, others will want to wear a dress like that to simply look good in general. Even if it's tight fit, it's not like the skin is exposed. One is still covered. The qur'an doesn't say anything about tight clothes right? Or does to not reveal mean to also not reveal the shapes of ones body? But again, nobody can 100% hide their body's curves unless they're really thin and not very curvy in the first place. So wouldn't this fall into the category of what may ordinarily appear thereof? Where do we draw the line? Peace, I wouldn't wear those because they're too tight and show off your body shape too much which is what we should be covering. The private aspects of women. I dont think intention matters either because someone can say my intention is to get a tan at the beach so I'll wear a bikini, my intention isnt to attract anyone. Well you're still dressed half naked and tight fitting clothes are pretty much the same, you can see every curve just not the skin. You dont have to look like a paper bag either though, there are so many dresses that are cute and modest just depends what your style is. I like the boho summer dresses even if they're short they look good with leggings.

Just skimmed through the initial page, interesting, it discuss the issue of 'authority'. Which act as motivation or objective on why people claimed something or somebody carries the authority of God / Deities in the first place. Ex Divinity of Jesus, Divinity of Quran, Divinity of Torah etc.. However it started the observation only from 7th century, the Islam era. While such behavioral pattern (ie claiming something / someone as divine and carries the authority of God / Deities) has started much earlier, the earliest surviving evidence can be found from 1800 BC Babylonia. A king set forth a set of laws to be enforced within his empire and claimed that the law was written by a God, in this case a deity named Marduk. Thus claiming the authority of Marduk to enforce the set of laws. An example of a type of authority named 'coercive authority' as labeled by the book. Within this type of authority no discussion or questioning allowed. Why? Because God saith so.. those who dare to question or resist will face the wrath of Marduk. And nobody dare to piss Marduk off and choose to comply. Nobody except the son of idol maker. The book define 'coercive authority' as "Coercive authority is the ability to direct the conduct of another person through the use of inducements, benefits, threats, or punishments so that a reasonable person would conclude that for all practical purposes they have no choice but to comply." Nowadays, coercive authority has fallen out of favor, thus a divinity claim is no longer effective. At least in most part of the world. Persuasive authority is the norm of the today, an evidence and / or a compelling argument need to be presented which shall influence how others view the subject. In most part of the world, a debate regarding law / policy are conducted before enforcing the law / policy within the society. The book define 'persuasive authority' as "Persuasive authority involves normative power. It is the ability to influence the belief or conduct of a person because of trust." However it's still the norm of today for some people to mix a 'coercive authority' with 'persuasive authority' within a debate. They put forth "Because God saith so" argument as evidence to persuade others and gain 'persuasive authority' over others.

It's difficult to be muslim woman and muslim man, nothing from the Quran says it's going to be easy... Do people imagine that they will be left to say, "We have iman," and will not be tested? We tested those before them so that Allah would know the truthful and would know the liars. (292-3) soul's integrity or self-deception? The test.. • The jihad for women, People of Imran, the "camel", "one who guarded her chastity," is feminism and no mental slavery • The jihad for men, People of Ibrahim, the "war horses", "one who jihad against giants, ALONE or fews," same thing and different approach, but must not be mental slavery for both... salat .. is a very hard thing, except for the humble. (245) "for the humble" means Allah has not made for any man two hearts. (334) meaning.. completely surrender... and either you surrender to natural order or you don't.. . meaning You will not attain true goodness (iman) until you give of what you love (ego 2543, against nature and natural order, natural person). (392) Have you seen the one who has taken his ego as his GOD? (2543 / 4523) "Ego" will never accept TRUTH (Nature, Sunnatullah, Natural Order), and accordingly... Those who have iman (facts) and do natural actions, how few they are. (3824) On that Day, We shall ask Hell, Are you now full? Hell will answer, Are there any more? (5030) This Paradise truly is the supreme triumph, for which one must strive hard. Is this the better welcome or the tree of Zaqqum (feels like your throat stucks with a big fish bone)!? (3760-62) ELSE to ignore the facts does not change the facts, thus "so much for wishful thinking (delusional)" The Quran may hurt you with the TRUTH, but it will never comfort you with a LIE. I don't really know what you're trying to say here, as I listed some points why I think women have it harder. What truth? Which facts?
