The term ”race” is not applicable to humans. Its use for classification of genetic and cultural differences is limited, since the concept is not rooted in evidence. In fact, you might find that in many parts of the world (Europe for example), people do not generally use the term as a descriptor, as it is seen as very antiquated. The word ”ethnicity” has mostly replaced it in the developed world, with exceptions like the United States.
It might seem like nitpicking but the terms are different. Ethnicity is a classification built upon genetic similarity (common ancestry), shared culture, language and sometimes nationality. Race has no consistent definition, which is why it is called a social construct. It’s not that there are not differences between people from different parts of the world, it’s just that race isn’t a useful model, because it has a shaky ground. For example, can you tell me who is white?

We have better definition now other than vague and often social political definition of "race".

Using haplogroup we can group similarities between group of human even when they're living geographically apart and/or doesn't seem to share a common looks at all, for example haplogroup M, spread from Ethiopia up to Taiwan and New Guinea.
We can even categorize extinct humanoid type such as Neanderthal using Haplogroup.
Thus deduce a conclusion that the majority of human living today has Neanderthal as among their ancestors.
