A Question about the prayer
-
Salaat is not to be "performed" according to the Quran; it has to be "established" or "upheld" when it says "aqeem us-salaat"...
Also, you submit to commands... by understanding them and putting them into action Through individual and social reform. A ritual as such, holds no meaning in that realm in my opinion.

) God does not need us to glofiry Him through words or rituals. He is The Exalted, Most High...
His message gives us eminance if we try to understand it and act upon it.
We see God's glory through manifestations correct? I argue that our actions and their natural consequence is a manifestation of God, i.e. the system He has created for us. We being ONE (establishing a connection) with this system would make us a sublime example on Earth as those who followed their Lord's command through their "will to tread on the straight path and take reformative action" (aamanuu wa Amil us-SaaliHaat). This in itself is a manifestation of God. That is how you Glorify His Name (Day and Night).Again, the action is for individual and social reform and not a ritual in my opinion...

Ok thanks for this very informative post Pazuzu. Thank you very much. The probleme is that the majority believes in the scholars and all, like the one in the book i've read that states that it's a must to pray on the prophet, and that they majority of people will say say "dude, you are not a true muslim if you don't do this or that".

Whoever translated this verse is either ignorant in the Arabic language, or Satan incarnate.
Pazuzu, I guess that you were referring to Allama Yousuf Ali ... lol ... many Pakistani Sectarian forums revere his translations and quote them to back their point of view. -

Honestly , can you guys concentrate on God when you are praying in a congregational prayers ? Nowadays I only go to mosques on "Friday Prayers" to meet people and to engage the Imam in discussions usually about the contents of his Sermon .

He doesnt need it, but we do.
Please look at http//www.19.org/index.php?aid=276
"O you who believe, you shall bow, prostrate, worship your Lord, and work righteousness, that you may succeed."
2560 "When it is said to them 'Prostrate yourselves to the Most Gracious', they say 'What is the Most Gracious? Shall we prostrate ourselves to that which you command us?' And it increases their flight from the Truth."

Peace,
Respectfully.7320 Your Lord knows that you rise a little less than two thirds of the night, and half of it, and one third of it, as well as a group of those who are with you. And God measures the night and the day. He knows that you will not be able to keep-up, so He pardons you. So read what is made easy of the Qur?an. He knows that there will be sick among you, and others that go forth in the land seeking from God?s bounty, and others who are fighting in the cause of God, so read what you can of it. And uphold the communion and contribute towards betterment and give God a loan of righteousness. And whatever you put forth yourselves, you will find it with God, for it is better and a greater reward. And seek God?s forgiveness, for God is Forgiving, Merciful.
Don't involve any humans in your prayer. Yes we follow prophet Muhammad but he never prayed for other humans and that is what we do, we don't pray for other humans and we really don't need to send blessings on the prophet Muhammad now because he is in Paradise, he has all the blessings he needs and wants. Right?
Peace.

Was just wondering if the group prayer (in the house, not the Friday prayer) give you more "points" than the single prayer. Does it?
Peace,
You seriously need to get the "point system" out of your head.

Ask God to forgive the believeing men and believing women. And ask Him to have mercy on them as they raised you when you were small. And you can pray for others, just be careful whom you ask about and the relatives. peace
