well of course elke, because "his kind of muslim" would also be married to "his kind of muslima" and we all know the ahadith say a good wife never says no to her husband's sexual advances.

    Well said!

So the question of rape of wife from a husband is out of question for brother Yusha. I hope he participates in the discussion to enlighten us more with his amazing views.

        Salaam brother,

Being born in a ahle hadith family is not one's own choice. Important thing is we must be open minded to get wisdom wherever we could find.

        peace

I can see this is a sensitive topic, and I did not foresee it would cause so much controversy. But what I mean is that in the case of rape, the woman is not being voluntary, yet the fact that she is being raped is due to her being dressed immodestly, or being out in public by herself. In Islam, when a woman is out in public, she is to be accompanied by a non-mahram male, such as her father or brother, or otherwise her husband. Woman should also not be out in public too much.

What if a modestly dressed man is raped? -[

Yes, in the West there are several cases of men getting raped by homosexuals. So should men also go anywhere guarded by anyone? ;D ;D

you think this only happens in the west? how do you think they convince dudes to fly into buildings or blow themselves up? first they abuse them, and then they tell them that martyrdom will bring them forgiveness. simple.

after all, as yusha says, the victim is just as much to blame as the perpetrator.

In the West? Maybe you are not familiar with the story of the Egyptian prisoner who told of his plight on TV.

By homosexuals? So, women are raped by heterosexuals and men are raped by homosexuals? Rape is an act of disturbed nuts, perverts, psychos, has nothing to do with sexual orientation.

Definitely. Any woman can walk around stark naked and noone has the right to sexually assault her just like anyone can leave their wallet full of money on a busy street and noone has the right to pick it up and get away with it.

Jankren I am disappointed in you.

A woman that dresses in a sexy manner is more likely to be asked out or get chatted up, but there is not a shred of evidence to suggest she is more likely to get raped, so camparing it to a wallet on a busy street is ridiculous. Statistically lap dancers and female strippers are not more likely to get raped then the average woman.

as far as I know even in a US trial involving a rape case, the first question the lawyer gonna ask is "What kind of dress did you wear when the crime occurred?"

it's a stupid question, so there is no need to ask it.

Yes, in the West there are several cases of men getting raped by homosexuals.

                    and in Pakistan too.

Just because we tolerate homosexuality in the West don't erroneously assume men raping men is more common in the West, coz there is no evidence to suggest this either.

I do believe that men and women in Muslim countries are less likly to admit if they have got raped as well.

yes, it's a stupid question, but

in Italy a court of law concluded that a woman could not possibly have been raped as she was wearing jeans....

they did not precise if those were blue or red jeans though, dunno, may be men are comparable to bulls ???

anyway, there has been a public outcry all over Europe

                      peace lk

what's if it's one of those button ones, also some of those jeans women wear are so figure huggingly tight they look absolutely impossible to take off. There must something to that ruling, what kind of jeans were they that she couldn't be raped?? Also where can I buy em?

he can just open the buttons.

also some of those jeans women wear are so figure huggingly tight they look absolutely impossible to take off.

well they are not that hard to take off actually, they may look it but they certainly aint.

There must something to that ruling, what kind of jeans were they that she couldn't be raped??

they are just being silly, some jeans are harder to take off but it's hardly mission impossible.

I wonder why they didn't test her jeans for his finger prints ???

Also where can I buy em?

                            try NewLook or Topshop. D

Yes because they are fully aware that they will have their ass kicked badly by the bouncers if they ever try to lay their hands on the strippers ...

Just because we tolerate homosexuality in the West don't erroneously assume men raping men is more common in the West, coz there is no evidence to suggest this either.

All of the rape cases involving homosexuals which I heard occurred in the West and I never heard of similar case in Indonesia. As for the tendency of rape victims in Asia not to speak up, I agree that it is true and I think it is wrong.

Let's get real Samia. How often did you hear about rapes perpetated by women toward men? It is very very rare I believe.

                              Peace,

African Americans get arrested more frequently than Whites. But that does not mean African American commited more crime than White. Same thing with rape.

Male victim are more unlikely to report because of society norm/pressure on males.
