Allah says in this verse that who received the previous scripture know that it is truth from their lord. For that we have to analyse the scriptures and we will.

"Blessed is the man whose strength is in thee; in whose heart are the ways of them. Who passing through the valley of Baca make it a well (Psalm 84 5-6)

The well in this barren valley will remain also a strong evidence that Baca of the Moslem is that which is concerned in this prophecy ,no where else in Palestine is there a barren valley with a well in it .
The Hebrew text also testifies to the same fact . The Hebrew version uses the Hebrew word which reads Baca .

What is the reality of Zam Zam well? no conspiracy theories, any thing factual.

Jesus says " Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not! 38 Behold, your house is left unto you desolate. For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord. ( Methew (23 37-39)

The woman saith unto him, Sir, I perceive that thou art a prophet. Our fathers worshipped in this mountain; and ye say, that in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship.Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father. " (John 419)

"And proclaim that the people shall observe Hajj pilgrimage.* They will come to you walking or riding on various exhausted means of transportation. They will come from the farthest locations."

You see, only the Followers of Quran go for Hajj because it was conveyed to them by an "Arab" in "Arabic" language.

Firstly, Mohammed was mainly a ?transmitter? of the Quran, not its sole addressee (various groups/people are addressed).

Second, the link between 2226-27 is crystal clear to anyone who reads Arabic.

Abraham, with Ismail, raised the foundations of the shrine and called to the Hajj - and the people came ? you seem to want to do as the sunnis/shia do and re-invent Islam to begin with Mohammed ? which it does not. Islam began long long ago ever since the first prophet was sent - Mohammed was only a follower of what was already established.

They shall complete their obligations, fulfill their vows, and visit the ancient shrine.

At time of Muhammad this had become an ancient shrine and not at time of Abraham who was the father of nations and was ordered to establish the house.

Abaraham raised the foundation and was shown the location which means this shrine has existed long long before. Did it begin with Noah or does it go back to Adam ? that is a question that I leave open. Your conclusion on ancient is clearly wrong.

Ok! so according to you Musims were facing Jerusalem during the revelation of Quran.
They (jews and christians) rejected the revelation of Quran because they could not accept an Arabic Prophet.

Here Allah is giving reason for changing the Original Qibla (in Makkah) to Jerusalem shortly; so the Prophet can distinguish between the believers and non believers.

We have seen you turning your face about the sky. We now assign a Qiblah that is pleasing to you. Henceforth, you shall turn your face towards the Sacred Masjid. Wherever you may be, all of you shall turn your faces towards it. Those who received the previous scripture know that this is the truth from their Lord. GOD is never unaware of anything they do.

I have a feeling from what you have just written that you are a follower of Rashad Khalifa`s doctrine? If so, then we can end this discussion as it will be a waste of time since most followers of Rashad will do anything to prove Rashad right even if it means making the Quran wrong.

Rashad was smart enough to realize that the argument for the original Qibla being Jerusalem and then shifting away from it creates a paradox if Abraham built the shrine in Mecca (as the sunnis/shai claim) then how could they face Jerusalem to begin with! Rahsad fixed this problem by reversing the historic context making them face Mecca first, then face Jerusalem, then back to Mecca.

So making it short

The house of Allah more specifically the present house of Allah cannot be in Jerusalem where we are directed to go for piligrimage as is evident from above verses.

How can you be so sure that what I believe is conjecture and what you believe is truth? specially in absense of solid proof on your side; Jerusalem is an ancient city mentioned in many old scriptures if it would have been Jerusalem Quran would have mentioned it right away as it mentioned the city of "Irum" and all the evidences from Quran which I provided in favor of Makkah.

Adressee of Quran were various groups/people but they were adressed through Muhammad.

Dear Layth I think you are getting bit sentimental, and assuming about me which is not true.
Abraham is chosen one and friend of Allah and he established what Allah ordered him. People came to Hajj Yes,
I never said that people never came to Hajj they came for Hajj even before Muhammad at time of Abraham. What I said is that Ismail was appointed the custodian of the shrine/sanctuary, but we see later on the majority of the Prophets came from Isaac and not from Ismael infact no one is mentioned from Ismail except Muhammad.
The focus was therefore Jerusalem, and all sorts of corruptions erupted in Makkah making it house full of idols and idolators, now to get rid of this Allah appointed Muhammad to re-establish the orginal Kaaba and clear it from idols which Muhammad sucessfully did.

I donot know about Rashad, but I explained it to you above, Why?
The Prophets of the time came for their time, The religon of Muhammad who followed Abraham was Final. Abraham appointed Ismail the custodian of House and people continued the Hajj, later on when the focus was shifted to Isaac's children because almost all of the prophets were from him.

I disagree. Islam is a system involving personal philosophy and conduct, social norms and law, war and peace, politics and economy. Islam is the name of a system where indiduals are free in their religion, philosophy and are encouraged to live together in peace. In modern terminology In political arena, Islam promotes a "federal secular democratic government that aims to establish justice and peace on earth."

Edip, would you be expressing what Islam is rather than your point of view?

I fail to see any system of governance within Islam which would be secular, in ignorance of the creator. Come on, your serious? Secular governance is but a reaction to religious, dogmatic tyranny which doesn't solve the problem of tyranny, simply displaces it to a different base of ignorance. Still, it's ignorance. Terms don't mean anything. I think he ist alking about Muhammad's Medina treaty. However that was built under a tribal system since that s how the society was structured. It was not built under citizenship since there was nothing called citizenship back then. Secular from a Koranic point of view is seperating whats for humans from whats for God. Salat, Zakat and faith is for God. You will get rewarded in the afterlife. The Koran came to remind people of these duties and to warn about judgement day. My difference with Edip is that he only looks at the Muhammad's biography and legacy and ignores the rest of the prophets. While Muhammad led and ruled a community, many other prophet never did. But all preached and all warned and all said the same thing. Since the Koran was sent to Muhammad its fairly normal for it to guide Muhammad into establishing a community. But to say that this was the intended message of the Koran and this was the prophet's job responsibility is absolutely wrong. This was a historic accident and temporary need. Many ayother prophets were sent without the need to establish a community yet that did not sway them one bit from fulfilling their duties. We must look at the prophets as a whole and not just Muhammad's legacy.

The koran tells us what was Muhammad sent for and what his job was.

2256 There is no compulsion in religion, for the right way is clearly from the wrong way. Whoever therefore rejects the forces of evil and believes in God, he has taken hold of a support most unfailing, which shall never give way, for God is All Hearing and Knowing.

1682 But if they turn away from you, your only duty is a clear delivery of the Message .

6107 Yet if God had so willed, they would not have ascribed Divinity to aught besides Him; hence, We have not made you their keeper, nor are you a guardian over them.

479-80 Say'Whatever good betides you is from God and whatever evil betides you is from your own self and that We have sent you to mankind only as a messenger and all sufficing is God as witness. Whoso obeys the Messenger, he indeed obeys God. And for those who turn away, We have not sent you as a keeper.

1753-54 And tell my servants that they should speak in a most kindly manner. Verily, Satan is always ready to stir up discord between men; for verily; Satan is mans foe .... Hence, We have not sent you with power to determine their Faith.

24.54. Say "Obey God, and obey the Messenger. but if ye turn away, he is only responsible for the duty placed on him and ye for that placed on you. If ye obey him, ye shall be on right guidance. The Messenger's duty is only to preach the clear (Message).

8821 22; And so, exhort them your task is only to exhort; you cannot compel them to believe.

3941 Assuredly, We have sent down the Book to you in right form for the good of man. Whoso guided himself by it does so to his own advantage, and whoso turns away from it does so at his own loss. You certainly are not their keeper.
